Despite the murkiness of the water you still managed to have a great day. This appears to be similar to Bob's and I last trip in some ways also. Fish were Houdini as they slipped off the hook.
Yeah, it has a couple big changes, but it's very similar indeed. I kind of wonder if the bigger hooks hurt more and they thrash harder.

high fast water can be hard but key is think like a bass fishing big silhouette dark colors work great. I like fishing the water when it's high, the river normally is 350 500 cfs have fished and done good when it hits 7500 cfs and chocolate.
Water level may rise very quickly, just be careful.
This particular section doesn't normally change it's release, but that's always good advice to keep you head up and watch the levels.
After watching your videos the mono rig has peaked my Interest. Ordered all the line and built a setup. Now just need to get out and give it a try.

Our weather up here was wet and windy. But not as extreme as Sacramento/SF and south. But you are still definitely "out in the elements!"

I've never actually seen another person there before. I think fishing between storms surges made that happen. There was only so many places to go when everything is flowing 10x of normal

Also glad to see the success with streamers…..I never really got into streamers until recently but under the right circumstances they pay out. Also you killed it with your strip set….nobody can comment on that crap anymore!
