@@pixelzebra8440the other side should have more coherent beliefs that are even slightly challenging to oppose. Everything she said in this video is very easily argued away, which is why it’s so frustrating. Why can’t they critically think about their own views? The opposite answer is so simple and yet they are willfully ignorant of it. So would having a conversation with this type of person really move their position, when they could’ve easily moved it without our intervention?
It’s not like I couldn’t argue with someone who has different beliefs than me, but I’d prefer to argue with someone who has well thought out beliefs that make me actually think about their position. Because then this person might actually change my mind, or I might change theirs, or at least we’d become aware of a new perspective. At least we’d have a productive conversation.

You can’t deconstruct something that you aren’t allowed to speak out against. Male allies can be powerful, but an ally that cannot stand to listen to the frustrations and grief of women significantly inhibits his ability to participate in feminism. This goes for all social change. Trying to tone police the language of the oppressed is antagonistic of the movement itself.

Feminism is a changing decentralised movement. So therefore there isn't one type of feminist, or rules people have to follow. Anyone can adopt it and change it to their liking. As a result, you can't take a dictionary definition of the word feminism and say that is what the movement is about. People who are anti feminism are usually looking at the movement or the people who use the label and are anti them. Same thing happens with LGBT+ and any other social movements.

      - men are accused of cheating on a daily basis despite women cheating far more
      - male cancer patients are ignored despite being the most at risk
      - feminism was originally founded as a supremacist group that was for white women only
      - the salem witch trials was about a man who was tortured to death over a false accusation of witchcraft by two women
      - even before the equal rights movement, men would be hanged for rape and many times they were false accusations: this includes two black men who were lynched over a false accusation
      - a study from Harvard claimed that 70% of domestic violence was caused by women
      - 70-90% of incarcerated criminals, including rapists, were from single mother households, while single fathers contributed little to no more crime than families with both parents
women have molested children and the worst they get is about two weeks in prison
men are usually left with nothing in a marriage, and women will do everything the can to stop them spending time with their children
      - abuse shelters (the majoriety of which run by women) discriminate against male victims while women pretend that men prevent other men from talking about abuse
      - men are far more likely to be murdered but society only cares about women being victims
      - the crime rate among women has only ever gone up over the years
      - male suicides are far higher but are always ignored and men are pretty much always mocked, vilified and harassed in the media

It’s a concept in any introductory philosophy course. Plato’s theory of forms. The theory suggests that the physical world is not as real or true as "Forms". According to this theory, Forms-conventionally capitalized and also commonly translated as "Ideas"-are the non-physical, timeless, absolute, and unchangeable essences of all things, of which objects and matter in the physical world are merely imitations. Plato speaks of these entities only through the characters (primarily Socrates) in his dialogues who sometimes suggest that these Forms are the only objects of study that can provide knowledge.

@@skinsfanh88 "A chair is a non-living piece of furniture." Not really. A tree can be carved into a chair without killing the tree, so your definition fails.
Chairs do not have standard definitions. Beanbags, recliners, benches, couches, stools, thrones, are all chairs, yet they do not all have the exact same features that the standard chair has (seat, back, 4 legs). A chair may have 3 or 4 legs, or may have none. A chair may have a back, they may not. A chair may be made from plastic, or can be carved within a living tree. A short table can be a chair for a tall person. The definition of a chair is based on its utility, which is a subjective definition. Same with jar-opening machines.
If a rocking horse or a taxidermy horse chair can be considered chairs because we sit on them, then a living horse can be considered a chair because we sit on them as well. The same way a man can be considered a jar-opener since they can open jars.
Horses and man/woman do have descriptive definitions though. So we can accurately define what horse and woman is.

Exactly how do you think the "large strides in the areas of industry, transportation and education" were even financed?? Money made off the backs of slaves. Same in Western Europe and the UK. Why do you think these areas of the world are still so well off today?!

"I think the definition of feminism has changed over the past 60-70 years, I've seen it move towards being hateful towards men and their ideals of what is/isn't masculine"
That statement struck a chord with me, since that used to be my exact opinion on feminism before I had somewhat of a paradigm shift right when I finished high school. I think that idea/that mindset is a root cause of perceptions of feminism being warped in the minds of impressionable men, particularly teenagers/youths.
Generally, from what I've observed on the net (and from personal experience/reflection), someone will make a misandrist tiktok, then one or both of these will happen: some internet influencer people are subscribed to will either react to clips of that 1% of misandrists in some kind of compilation video/just a clip on a platform somewhere expressing how cringe it is, or algorithms will recommend edgier and edgier content to people due to an overlap in audiences. As a result, there's some sort of idea generated that 'This is Feminism, this is what the Liberals want you to believe people are fighting for when they identify as one' and that seed is planted. It's a dangerous climate and a big issue: it's how conservative grifters get traction, leading to impressionable fanbases (specifically young men like the beanie guy) getting these dangerous ideas and beliefs planted in their brains.
Something I really hope to see in the future is more clarity about it, and that the misconception that feminism = misandry = toxic can be nipped in the bud.

    • @bitchd7839
      @bitchd7839 Год назад

To be honest, feminists are doing a very poor job at fighting misandry. They rather bitch about misogyny on situations where it isn't present rather than actually fighting obvious misandry.
And apart from that, feminists are making certain beliefs mutually-exclusive to feminism like being pro-choice or believing that transwomen are women. That can be true if they can somehow prove it, but their arguments fail to do so.
For example, when it comes to abortion, pro-lifers genuinely believe that the right of the fetus exceeds the right of the mother in normal situations. If they have the same stance if men are the ones getting pregnant, then it means that feminism and pro-choice are not mutually exclusive since they hold men and women to the same standard if both genders could get pregnant. It just so happens that women carry the burden of getting pregnant. It's also not sexist to say that men should be prioritized in the draft because men are the physically stronger sex. Men are lucky to have stronger bodies, so they have the burden of fighting in combat. But if women and men are equal in strength, then both genders should be drafted with no discrimination.
Same with the trans topic. If people believe that men and women deserve equal rights, what has recognizing that trans people are the gender that they identify as got to do with it? The terms "man" and "woman" (both cis and trans) should be based on biology, which feminism has nothing to do with. Feminism should strive for equal rights and privileges for both sexes, regardless of whether the gender ideology is true or not.

Proud of my people (the feminists) for being so calm and patient in explaining things. I wouldn’t have been as patient. I facepalmed a hundred times

Why becoming a feminist didn´t give you zen level patience and virtues?

@@PROVOCATEURSK that’s not what they said lol. stop trying to twist their words. they are very evidently talking about how the anti-feminists were so out of touch with reality that it was frustrating to watch. they applaud the feminists for being patient. not that it was frustrating for someone to become a feminist in general lol??? that literally has no relation to their original comment.

You can't explain away Amber Heard, discrimination against males in education and schools, feminism being started as a supremacist movement for white women only, Roe v Wade being a lie women doing less work than men, male cancer patients being ignored, men commiting suicide at higher rates, 70-90%of criminals being from single mother households, the lynching of black men who were falsely accused of rape, courts being paid to find men guilty of abuse even if they were innocent.
You and your people are nothing more than gaslighters.

“I do not hate women, every woman is beautiful in her own way” ok thanks I guess, but feminism has nothing to do with women wanting to be called beautiful, it’s about all genders having equal rights.

@@SosukeTYBW a woman is anyone who identifies as a woman. And women, non-binary people and all other genders, “need” (deserve, are entitled to) the same rights as men. The goal is for gender to not play a part in how people are treated in the world. How is that not clear?
