She has the spiritual revelation!! His holy and pure voice comes from the heaven!! Praying for her longer life!!!
She's always had a beautiful voice, but she was in her prime at the time of this recital -- a gorgeous tone with ringing high notes like crystal chimes. Absolutely out of this world. I think she's the best soprano America has ever produced.
I totally agree with you, Pius Twelvetrees!!! She's the BEST in my opinion, too!!!

Simply beautiful and magnificent!!! Praise be to God Almighty!!!
I was able to hear her live in 2006 in her hometown or Portsmouth Ohio and was AMAZING...once in a lifetime event.
So glad this is posted. I taped it off the radio and my cassette died.. this is so much better than the commercial recording of the same!

If you like this, you should hear her sing "Didn't Hear Nobody Pray...." That made me weep when I saw her in person singing it in the late nineties.

La Battle is one of the greatest opera singers and singers in general. Her technique is beyond perfection and even nowadays her events are a sold out for sure.
