@Gadaffied Hey, thanks a lot for the comment. The guitar is in fact a fender, mexican made, but definitely not a squire. Sure it's not the best guitar in the world, and it might not be typical for metal, but it's all i've known. I personally like the feel of strats. With that said though, I do have plans to buy a new guitar soon. As for the pod, i made the tone in this video when i was new to it. I feel i can come up with something much better now. I think the pods great 4 my purposes
@markingfeat No, it is not in standard E tuning. Dimebag himself played it in Standard D tuning with an extra 1/4th step down. However in this video I am just playing it in normal Drop D tuning. Either way works.

@RyanzGuitarz is should still work for metal because of the humbucker near the bridge. I love fenders because I feel comfortable playing them. plus they never let me down so I stuck with them. but thats just me.
This pitcluar song in is D standard as you can see if you watch Dime play it live in all of the videos on youtube, but with that said, I have seen a lot of covers with people playing it in Drop D and it doesn't sound half bad if the person that is doing the cover can actually play as seen here.
The Pod X3 Is not my amp, it's just a device that i use to record demos/youtube videos with and practice with late at night because I can plug headphones in and not bother anyone. I have an Egnater 4100 Tourmaster for my live purposes.
I know that, because some people say "half-step down" is the way to go for this, but it sounds wrong to me. I have used Drop D for this, but D standard sounds reasonable for this.

I agree with him, your tone is nothing compared to Dime's, plus I think in the ending it's not just 0-0-0-1--0-0-0-0-1--0 etc., I think it's 0-0-0-2/1-0-0-0-0-2/1-0 etc. Look up "Pantera Walk Guitar Cover" on RUclips and look at the first result, he does the outro excellently. Other than that great job man!

Not so bad. Try to work on your bending technique though. And maybe you can look at your handposition while your soloing. Your hand and wrist look really awkward when your playing. Keep on practing your technique and you will be fine.
i'm 14, and I used to play through a line 6 when i was 8..... i had atleast 2 years of experience with that piece of shit. then i realized it had no tone, no power, decent bass, shitty gain, and shitty effects.... everything about that amp is shitty, i hated it!. ----- convenient and simple is right, that's why 6-8 year old beginners use it. You can play pretty well though, i'd trade your amp for a fender amp or something that has tone..
