Hi Jamie. Great tutorial. How do I do to capture vidoes from inside Premiere Pro with my webcam? Earlier versions had the ability to capture a video but I don't find it in 2024. Or do I have to use another program? All the best. //Jörgen
I'm not sure how to do it in premiere pro. I've always used OBS for recording. You can setup scenes for near enough everything and it can also be used for livestreaming

I use a 3rd party plugin called autopod. That cuts up foorage and removes all empty spaces. It does cost money though. You can use the Premiere Pro text tool to transcribe your content. This transcript will show the dead air in the video and you can go through and delete these which will then delete the footage.
If you double click on a video, it will open that individual clip in it's own timeline. If you're not wanting to do anything to that clip, you can close it down by clicking "x", just above the timeline.

Great tutorial! The hotkeys/shortcuts were helpful.
Glad it helped! Hotkeys are a time saver. Whilst editing, it's worth learning a new hotkey every time. Eventually you will be an editing wizard.

The editing software doesn't matter. Select what you like using and just get good with it.

There are no files. This shows how you can get started with your own footage.

i clicked and it pops out another video in source, how can i fix that
