I was charged $426 by a local mechanic shop to replace ONE. I bought 4 NEW OEM replacement sensors set on ebay for $28 (2 front, 2 rear for all four wheels). And you didn't even disconnect the battery. Thanks.
Thanks for the quick & easy video. The OEM wheel speed sensors are incredibly expensive for what they are... between $120-180 EACH. Just insane. A lot of aftermarket manufacturers are making these sensors for $15-30 each and they work pretty good according to other consumers. So I'll give the aftermarket a try before shelling out over $100 just for one. My factory sensors went over 172,000 miles and I hope the cheaper parts last half as long.
Great video! So what happened? Did it overheat and warp? What do you think would cause it to disfigure like that? I am going to take my sensors of and inspect them. I assume its a magnet that registers if the CV shaft is turning? Could this mean a burr formed on the CV shaft that caused it to disfigure like that?
Yea i wish it was as easy as changing the sensor out all the time.. i got codes 33 and 34 meaning both rears are not reading. When i test their resistance both sensors are right where they should be, when i test with multimeter with ac volts and spin the wheel one reads almost a volt when spinning by hand the other reads .3 or .4 at most.. both tone rings feel like all the teeth are there and not loose, resetting dtc’s doesnt do anythibg.. both do have leaky seals because both had grease on em when i removed em. But even after cleaning they both still read the same and ecu still doesnt like em.. the hell? Could it be the circuit? Ive checked damn near the whole wire from nuts to butts and continuity with no short.. i dunno wth the abs module looks like under the dash cuz every wire on the truck passes right there where all the modules are inside the truck.. fuggn stuck on it.. dunno what else to do other than replacing tone rings and seals but thats a hell ofa job.. without abs tho the rear diff lock wont actuate and i need that to be at the ready.. might just hard wire it and take the abs bulb out.. lol
Me marcaba sensor de velocidad malo llevé al taller me cobraron $1000 y otra vez igual y me dice que la computadora ahora por qué dicen eso después que el módulo también qué

This has got to be among the most helpful repair videos I've ever seen. Thanks!
uhm, that grease in there probably means you have a bad bearing and bad axle oil seal. I hope you got those replaced too.
