    If you go on the official french website & order your sticker you'll get email proof and you won't get fined... it's a bit time consuming but quite straightforward.

    Great video Kat. One thing I don't think you covered is what to do if your vehicle is unclassified i.e registered before 1997. This applies to our 1996 Hymer. So far in France we have avoided places like Rouen by taking the free ferry at Quilleboef or one of the road bridges to the west of Rouen. We've also just heard that Rouen is about to suspend its Crit Air zone as of July 2024. Had you heard that?

    Informative video, but I can't find anything about Spain's clean air passes or websites to apply for them .

    Thanks for this. Another possibility for Germany is to buy the sticker at a branch of ATU (which appears to be an equivalent to Halfords in the UK). We picked up ours a couple of days ago at the branch in Wesel. The assistant was extremely helpful. All we needed was our V5 document and it cost €6.99. We may not need it but we felt it was better to be safe than sorry. Thanks again.

    We were in Southern Germany and Austria 2 weeks ago. Our Sat Nav (using Apple Maps) warned us when we were approaching Environmental Restricted Zones. These were around small towns in rural areas around Black Forest and Achensee. The first time we followed the Sat Nav suggested detour, but that involved a very twisty, steep, single track road that was tricky in our Campervan. After that we ignored these warnings on our Sat Nav and stuck to the main route. Definitely not through Cities, not even large Towns. Haven’t had any fine through yet.

      There are all sorts of zones springing up. Interesting about the Black Forest- we were there a few weeks ago and didn't see any. But very useful to have a sat nav which warns you!

    Super informative…. I have just been all over France ‘sans’ one of these in my gc600… I skirted Paris thanks to a navigation error! Say I did go into the zone, will they ping me automatically thru number plate recognition? Or does it take a the police to notice you in the zone? Thanks in advance?

    Fairly new to motorhoming chatted with you today at campervan camp out event. Do the UK do stickers like France or do we just have to avoid low emission zones in the UK I notice the London emission zone is expanding end of August this year and will be overlapping M25 at a few points
    Looks like it could get complicated in the future to avoid emissions areas around London and other UK cities with these schemes
    Any advice helpful, thanks

      Great question! As far as I know, we don’t have a UK sticker yet. Also, I’ve just checked my motorhome on the gov website & there’s currently no charge in any zone except London. But I’m sure that will change soon! www.gov.uk/clean-air-zones

    Thanks, i got my crit air sticker for Paris in 2 weeks, slightly off topic, do you know if you need a motorway vignette for Germany? i'm getting conflicting stories online, you do for Switzerland, just not sure about Germany, Thanks

    • @WanderingBird
      @WanderingBird  2 года назад

      Nope. Germany uses tolls (although not as many as France!). You do need a sticker for the pollution zones if you enter one.

    Hi Kat, thanks for info, do you know if these stickers are required in Belgium and Holland?

    • @WanderingBird
      @WanderingBird  2 года назад

      Yep- there are a couple of schemes in both countries. Check out the Urban Access website (link in notes) and you'll see what you need to do.

    great video thanks. I have both a german and French sticker. Both are stuck in the top right on the windscreen. Pretty sure that is incorrect. Hey ho.
