A breathtaking trip 1st class on SBB’s flagship train Zürich Hb to Milano Centrale.

- Join me on board Swiss national operator SBB on an unbelievable journey from Zürich Hb to Milano Centrale in Italy in 1st class.
This is probably the most scenic journey taken this far as it offers city views, a number of lakes, beautiful countryside and the alps.

Brother the train was going through the Gotthard-Base Tunnel 57km. This was a new built fast line track for the train.

Nice video of a journey I know well. You didn't travel through the original Gotthard Tunnel on that service, but through the much longer (57km) and newer base tunnel opened in 2016 (I think)

I was looking for this information in the comments. Im in two minds about which train should I have to take to the trip between zurich and milan, the one through the original gotthard tunnel seems to be more expensive and takes about 4.5 h, do you have any advice about which one would you take?

Have not been at Zurich HBF since 1979 it has changed a bit on the inside!
It’s still changing now, lots of work but a very nice station.
@@TheGeordieTravels two years later, Zurich HB is a never ending construction site. I don't like it any longer.
