There is also a site called Kisscartoon that has both seasons.
this was probably the best episode of the whole series.
one of the best things in all of star wars in my opinion
It truly was. This was also the sad ending to Ahsoka and Anakins story from the Clone Wars.
best in starwars period , this and world between worlds , and finally
it is
Shabaka Smkss pretty sure everyone knows that already...
What got me was Hera rushing to Kanan and embracing him...
then Rex realizing Ashoka was gone...first Anakin, then Ashoka...
+Andrew Vert Plus Ezra knows Anakin is Vader. I hope he doesnt tell Rex though
+Minlech_67 Yeah...Rex should at least have the memory of his General and bestfriend...
+Andrew Vert 😢😢
Ahsoka didn't die just pay attention to after the bird flies into the darkness she's just walking into the temple
Allexia Faustino maybe it's her exile?
The hit in the music where Vader is limping away from the decimated area is utterly epic.
And a musical detail. In season 4 when ahsoka goes back they play the same music.
I really didn't expect music this good to come from an animated "kids" show. But I shouldn't be surprised. This is star wars after all.
A mighty cadence indeed.
I feel like Vader is feeling a mixture of sadness and hate leaving that ruin.
Hatred for everyone involved with the ordeal but more so sadness that once again...
... *he survived*
That's because the Force won't allow Vader to die until he fullfilled the prophecy. Even during Legends Vader attempted to commit suicide several times, but survived miraculously every time.
Vader Is actually Reiner😂
@@Ale-dd3ek nah, Reiner is *VADER*
@@Ale-dd3ek brb I’m put a musket in my mouth 😂😂😂
Sadness because he survived and he thinks Ashoka died
The music was epic when darth vader came
Yep
How it is called?
@@alexmihai5508 its called "its over now" :)
@@Vuel79 still the best
The Music and vader are Both cool in this scene
I felt that rex was trying so hard not to cry :'(
I know I feel so bad bad for him but if Rex is going to die I hope he goes out like a mandorlorean( how ever you spell it) he goes fighting and the way I want him to die is get killed by vader and when vader is about to kill I want him to say it was an honour working with you...skywalker
*tears*
TheFizsz the feels... the feels are real
Because Rex lost Anakin, now Ahsoka. He's lost the Jedi duo he fought with during the Clone Wars. From Rex's POV, we see the hardships a longtime fighter for what he believes in has to endure.
He's pretty much the only character guaranteed to survive the series. Dave Filoni confirmed that he was still fighting with the Rebels on Endor in Return of the Jedi.
I love how this scene shows everyone involved, no matter which side they're on, took a loss. Maul took a loss, Vader, Ezra, ashoka, kanan, the inquisitors died. No matter who's side you chose, everyone suffers because of Palpatine
You hit the nail on the head man
The only lose for the rebellion is Kanans eyesight, the empire lost 3 inquisitors, Darth Maul had nothing and left with nothing. Ahsoka didn't die since Ezra saved her in the world between worlds with guidance from Morai of course although they did miss out on her wisdom for several years. The Empire lost 3 inquisitors and Lord Vader limped away with a massive gash in his mask. Big L for the empire. No matter what Palpatine wins though because he doesn't care he's too busy enjoying being an evil bastard.
The part with Rex broke me. Especially given their history in the clone wars.
aderose boy have I got something to tell you

Before order 66 Ahsoka ,Bo kanan and I were On a Mission on Mandylor to free this planet I was taken over by Maul and the death watch. Before he made his escape just to regroup he mention a name of the Sith Lord who is responsible for the clone wars.

After that we were too late the Jedi council were extinct and Anakin Skywalker was no Longer the friend we once knew But I do know someday like Maul & count dooku. Vader Will soon be deceived .
Ezra: You mean betrayed by who.
Rex: I’m not sure yet but there is a slight chance we can redeem him if it means no cost our lives. But the only way to do that is to prove that Darth Sidious is the Deceiver I traded to the entire galaxy that he once Concord.

This hits _so_ differently after "Victory and Death". When their lives - the Republic, the Jedi, everything they'd known - fell apart, all they had was each other. Then they parted ways, but they did so knowing someone made it out, someone lived - survived, and _would_ live - and eventually, they reuinted. And here, Rex truly believes he's lost her. There's no words; just an exchange of looks and the fact that she didn't come back.
She saved him when he needed it the most. But he wasn't there to do the same in return.
watching rebels after clone wars gang
This music was even originally scored for the clone wars too, victory and death.
But hell imagine Rex with Ashoka fighting Vader and him finding out about Anakin's fate. I don't know if that would have hurt him even most
This episode was super emotional, and after watching clone wars...
I was so damn angry for Ashoka coming back in the Clone Wars, but man, it was perfect
This bloody music gives me too many feels
the soundtrack this season was really good

This is a Close Second...But I think we all know what No.1 really is
@@whitemat76 This is better imo.
See, this is why I don't get why people say this series is shit.
Because most of the time, it is. Hell, this episode was a near masterpiece. Except for helicopter lightsabers. It's not even that terrible it's just incredibly mediocre and annoying a lot of the time. And then we get episodes like this one, that tap into the potential the show has. That's what hurts the most.
The reason people sat it's shit is because of episodes that focus on fucking chopper with bland humor. You can't have one or two great episodes and the rest suck and say it's a good series
+ajbolt7 Because every episode needs to be heavy and dark to satisfy your need of a good episode. I actually enjoy some of the light-hearted episodes, but hey then again keep getting salty. This show is fantastic.
+Bane Knightfall Wowwwwwww.

1:02 best part..Darth Vader..the powerful sith lord having survived another all out battle and having defeated a skilled fighter and survived a huge explosion, injured and limping away, no emotions, valiantly, like the cold calculated murderous machine he is, cape flapping in the wind..plus the music

+twmcgraw303 if they don't show her death, that would be sooo disrespectful to the fans, and the amazing character that is Ahsoka Tano! we deserve to SEE her die. they showed Obi-won's death, they show the important characters deaths. Ahsoka deserves for her death to be shown.
maybe she's not dead
The soundtrack, the beat drop, Ezra crying, Morai squealing, Darth's walk out, and Rex's face. Absolutely incredible scene. Dave Filoni is a genius.
No words. Just loss, pain, suffering and Darkness with a flicker of hope.

Years later and this hits me...Rex's face, Vader limping away and Ahsoka in the darkness....
Even now, with Ahsoka being alive, this still hits you in the feels.
Yup, this scene and the music gets me every single time, even knowing the outcomes.
TBH this episode was so perfect I kinda dislike the fact that they brought Ashoka back. I get Filoni wanted to do more with the character than make her another martyr, especially after how clone wars season 7 developed her character to even higher levels, but still.
This episode was too good.
This ending was perfect.

When rex walks up i got chills all over my body, just the memories of The Clone Wars are so amazing, i grew up with the series and the characters, i watched every episode of it and i loved it. That this show shows Cap Rex so many years later, its just so satisfying to see that he actually lives and that they brought him back, he was one of my favorite characters from the CW. 0:43 Now this all makes sense, after the last season of The Clone Wars and after everything Rex and Ahsoka went through, it makes this scene heartbreaking
probably one of the most emotional moments in star wars history that I've ever seen
Vader limping out of that temple to the musics crescendo is absolute cinematic art, it implies so much so little actually happening and the set is glorious. I absolutely did not expect this from 'rebels'
And this is why I love this show. I'll be proud to say I've watched it since the start when everyone realizes how good of a show it is.
+PiggyInTardis 101 It is getting really interesting now! And we may have more episodes about Maul in the next season. I am so excited for that :D

And you were all right. All of your words still hold up true to this very day. People may not like this show for their reasons, but especially now almost 6 years after it’s ending, people are waking up and starting to realize how good of a show this really is. I am not a huge fan of Rebels, but NO ONE can deny that this scene and the music used were MASTERPIECES.

I teared up a bit at the end. I came from despising Ashoka at the beginning of Clone Wars to adoring her by the end. And to see her go out by Vader is just heart breaking.
I know its ambiguous and they hint she is alive, but I hope that isn't the case. This was such a fitting end for her character in my opinion.
I mean you can see her walking through a doorway at the end. Lol
Bro she didn’t die lmao pay attention
This had to be one of the top 10 best episodes of the series.
does anyone think when kanan turned around was because he sensed ezra opening the holocron or was it just a cinematic view.
been wondering myself,i think he would have shown more alarm
StarWarFan maybe its like a symbolic meaning
It's probably both
Remember Kanan is a Jedi and he is kind of strong with the force so he could sense Ezra opening it and Kanan might try to stop him somehow
SerbianBeast535 i actually believe he would not stop ezra and let him choose his path
Maul: You can cut him in half, drop him down a shaft, kill everyone he cares for, torture him and throw him off a giant temple, but he's still gonna live to nick your TIE-fighter.
Do you remember the pain not knowing if Ahsoka was dead or alive? And now she has HER WHOLE ASS SHOW!! #AHSOKALIVES
Malachor really was a loss for everyone. Kanan lost his eyesight. Maul lost the holocron. Rex lost Ahsoka. Ezra also lost Ahsoka and Kanan as well. Vader lost the holocron

Damn, this ending and the music was such a punch in the stomach for me.
This one one of the first clips of Rebels that made me start watching in earnest. I first watched someone's reaction to the Ahsoka Vader fight, which included parts of this ending cut up, but this was a large part which stuck the hook of Rebels into my gums and made me first watch the whole episode, then watch the whole show. 0:41 Probably the saddest moment in the entire show
To me one of the most emotional parts of this finale was seeing Hera's face as she gazes upon the man she loves, realising that he'll never be able to reciprocate that again. At the time it was such a bitter ending
This still gives me the same feelings for back when I first experienced this as a 10 almost 11 year old, 7 years ago. Rebels is such a good show and it gets so much flack because it’s in-tuned for a much younger audience and that the Rebels just "win way too much". But THIS ending here really solidified my love for Star Wars as a 10 year old all those years ago. A tragic version of Ahsoka’s theme, the Sunset, Rex’s face, Hera embracing Kanan and Kanan embracing Ezra, Vader limping out of the Temple, god this show will always have a special place in my heart.
that music was so epic I got chills from that ending

The good guys won but at such a great cost, (Ahsoka for SW, Pyrrha and Beacon for RWBY) it might as well be considered a defeat.
I love how rwby made it in the comics. Good comparison btw. :)
+No one Someone finally understands the term
David Mobeck The hell are you talking about?
The Rebels won jack shit this time.
Alex Greaney they got the Holocron, which was their objective. They won.
David Mobeck They only went to Malachor to learn how to defeat the Sith.
It didn't help much.
Wow Rex lost so much. Nearly all of his brothers, Anakin and now Ahsoka
This score is beautiful! I want to hear it live played by a symphony.
What makes this such an ending is that every party at the Sith temple lost:
Rebels: lost Ashoka, Kanan lost his sight.
Empire: Darth Vader lost his Padawon and what he believed was the last evidence of Anakin Skywalker, inquisitors’ deaths.
Maul: Lost Ezra as apprentice, lost Sith holicron, couldn’t kill Vader, returned to having nothing.
Does no one obviously not see Asohka walking at the end into the darkness. I mean, she was the only one that survived besides Vader. The inquisitors were all dead. Who else would it be!
0:09 ezra is me after seeing "Victory and Death"
That was a fitting ending to TCW, but this is more devastating, even knowing the afters. Its perfection, the drama and that music.
The soundtrack is so impactaly, it sounds as when you lost a good and old friend, and when you sacriffice some things for make a future for you and all your dear beings so good. There is always a truth in legends!!!
This is the best ending to an episode of rebels
in the HD version you can see Ahsoka going down a couple steps right before they cut to the Ghost Crew (sadly you can't see it here).
And that smile on Ezra's face when he opens the holocron... This is by far the best episode.
That wasn't a smile.
+Rogue Pylon @ 1:34?
It looks like a smile because of the angle of his face, but he isn't smiling.
Also you can still see Ahsoka.
+No one you can see her walk in and take a single step down only. But in the HD version you see her take 2 more steps down before cutting to the ghost crew
Where men cried
+DarthSquidward This is how it happened. This is how the Batman died
Rex’s frown gets me every time
0:44 that part hits hard
The music........ my god, the music.
Yes, indeed. Its astonishingly good.
"There is no way a jedi can open that" confirmed Ezra turned to the dark side to open it
snek "You have to be a sith, or at least think like one"
I remember watching this two parter on TV as one whole episode. It was fucking crazy.
