Absolutely yes, especially with the twist of a grin you can see behind the respirator. You have gotta give Hayden Christianson credit, with a good director, he is not a bad actor and his facial work, even mostly covered, it extremely well performed
The technology keeping Vader alive is archaic and crude, at least compared to what else is available. It has been said that its installation was deliberate so as to inflict nothing but unbearable anguish onto Vader so as to keep him in a state of pain and suffering, thus enhancing his connection to the dark side by denying him any peace. However, I also think another reason it was used was because the components were redundant in most of the galaxy, and thus suppliers for replacements and technicians able to work on them were few and far between. It meant that Vader could never leave Imperial space, as there was nowhere out of reach of the Empire that would have what was needed to survive. A truly cruel design.

Even though canon demanded it, it still bugged me that Obi-Wan would choose to leave him alive again. But the more I thought about it, I realized that just adds to the trsgic nature of the whole thing. Even after learning and understanding what Anakin had become, and knowing the evil acts he might commit in the future, Obi-Wan still couldn't bring himself to kill the man who had once been his brother and friend. This battle also gives an in universe explanation to their final fight in ANH. Vader was holding back because he feared Obi-Wan was going to whip out his full Force powers at any moment and beat the crap out of him again, while Obi-Wan was simply buying time for the others to escape and preparing to sacrifice himself
Idk why, but I think it would've been really cool if Vader kept his helmet broken following his defeat from Kenobi. Like they fix all of the components of the suit, but keep gash opened up to just have at least one of those piercing yellow sith eyes staring into those under his command which in all honestly they are terrified of him with a complete helmet.
Well...I would argue that he was mostly angry and hated himself as Anakin. Vader thought Anakin allowed himself to do all the unspeakable things in ROTS. He hated Anakin because he was weak and deeply regretted for turning down this dark path. Therefore, he (Vader) tries to leave anakin to die and be forgotten by destroying anything and anyone who “knew” him. But, Vader could never fully destroy anakin as long as padme and his memories still remained deep within his heart and one day unlocked by Luke.
I like how they hint at the conflict within Anakin/Vader. It's very subtle, but in both Kenobi and Rebels, you can tell that a small portion of Anakin remains. I also think Anakin genuinely respected Obi-Wan for apologizing to him and Vader respected Obi-Wan for having the upper hand once again. When Obi-Wan leaves you can tell how Vader completely reverts back to padawan Anakin, with his impotent rage unable to act against his master.

Something I always wished they did in the conv between obi wan and Vader was that when Vader is saying obi wan didn’t kill anakin, that he did they should’ve switched the voice to vaders to imply that the persona of Vader was the one that “killed” anakin, something like this, “you didn’t kill anakin skywalker , (switch to Vader) I did”
He also has eyebrows...which doesn't make any sense, but star wars rebels seems to be aimed towards a younger audience, so that's probably why vader doesn't look as horrible as he should. I prefer the scene In obi-wan way more.
Filoni isn't afraid to disregard small details to tell his story (I personally really dislike that). Also rebels is aimed towards a younger audience, so they made vader less scary looking.

Its honestly the best live action star wars scene ever created. Before this, my favorite scene was always when Luke surrendered himself in ROTJ. It showed Vader as Anakin and wanting to be a father figure. He was human again. But this scene. This gives closure on Anakin dying and becoming Vader. There is still a little bit of Anakin in there, and you see his face. This scene is by far the most important star wars live action scene.

Its honestly the best live action star wars scene ever created. Before this, my favorite scene was always when Luke surrendered himself in ROTJ. It showed Vader as Anakin and wanting to be a father figure. He was human again. But this scene. This gives closure on Anakin dying and becoming Vader. There is still a little bit of Anakin in there, and you see his face. This scene is by far the most important star wars live action scene.

Those are the ones I’m talking about, Obi Wan beat him almost easily, with much effort. Ahsoka was sorta beating him, she was able to cut off a piece of his mask so that sorta counts if she was able to land a hit. Then there’s the video game characters that fight him and technically win if they got out alive. And then Luke.
