They should have a desalination plant ASAP to prevent future cases such as this.

You can have equality but you may not get water.

"Day Zero" is going to be a ploy for the bottled water companies to make huge fortunes.

Talking about water usage. We all need to conserve water. Your video shows that this water is free flowing. What about waste at that point

Solar steam desalination. Magnify the sun's rays onto a heating element, transfer the heat to salinated water, both combustion & contraction are forms of clean energy. The condensated water is potable water.

Kubz Cadman it's not that hard to take a magnifying glass magnify the Sun's Rays onto a heating element and transfer the heat to salted water which combusts at 212 degrees Fahrenheit

The blame and responsibility lies squarely on your government! Hold them accountable.

Life is unfare. The drinkable freshwater on my swedish private property contains enough water to keep 2 million people alive for 5-10 years. I am trying to figure out how to build a cheap wooden stow with a heatchanger and boiler. And some saltwater to boil.
    I don't have enough buckets...

Using planes to spray salt in air will help but it's expensive.

And in this case a GE desalination system would help reduce demands from fresh water sources! I also find it funny that my dads old work "Peerless Midwest" is now owned by Suez, the same name of GE Desalination systems!

This has nothing to do with drought. Look at Israel. They hardly get any rain and I have plenty of water.

    • @MattBiden

Droughts are natural. Also you forget about ground water. Ground water isn't effected by drought. Mis-management is common among the mud races. See Detroit, Haiti and Chicago for a similar scenario

I think what he means is the crisis wouldn't have been left this late if a white government was running it.
The ANC has made it very clear that they will only take action on the matters that strengthen the ANC and Cape Town is of no concern to them. Poor Mandela is turning in his grave. =(

What a load of bolloxs. This is nature and the natural circle of life. The earth changes and we should too. But we build concrete towers and dams. Nature will win. God is real. Jesus on his way.
