    Can't point fingers, as a teenager on a bike I was reckless my self.

      I can honestly say that as a kid, I was very aware of the dangers of the road. Golf courses, and benches hiding behind mounds? Thanks a different story 🤣

      Well yeah, you can. Especially if you recognize now how reckless you were then. That's called growing up.

    0:17 I was thinking, what if there is someone round the corner?
    And then there's two people - that pillock might run out of luck at some point.

      That was stupidly dangerous as well as breaking the law. It's not a very well-policed law. I often ride my bike on pavements when safe-places-to-ride have gaps in them that need multiple right-turns / lane-crossings to navigate. I ride at no more than walking speed, and if there's someone walking towards me I jump off or stop and lean on something if it's narrow, while apologising for breaking the rules. Pavements should remain pedestrian-only so the law's easy to apply when a bicycle's involved in an incident.

    You should come and visit us over here (The Netherlands) and you will never complain about such cyclist behaviour. 😂

      We did a cycle holiday in the Netherlands( i am a trucker) can i just say the whole cycling logic over there is set up so well,no 4 wheel drives parked at the school gates, respect from other road users, kept away from other road users where possible you have got it spot on one of the best holidays ever ❤

      I loved cycling in Netherlands and (the north of) Germany. Being a pedestrian was annoying though. My German friends in particular seemed to think they were at the bottom of a hierarchy when walking - I think pedestrians should be the top as per UK rules. We just don't seem to be as good at following rules as we think we are!

    Can't see anything he did wrong as a cyclist. While him cutting you off was rather rude, you were going slow and not a danger. Otherwise you can tell he is an experienced cyclist. The rules aren't made for bikes, so you gotta do what you gotta do, and I say this as someone who is now a driver, but I remember what it was like riding a bike, cheers!

      as a cyclist for 20 years a motorbike for 2 years shut the fuck you moron he gets hit its your fault regardless you can now cross in front of a car or motorbikes path get hit and its the drivers fault there's enough to be aware of driving any vehicle without having to look out for tits like that

      I'm a cyclist and through videoing myself on my commutes, i realised that we should go a bit further than just safety ... I used to be able to spot students cycling to the uni who had only ever ridden bikes off-road...

      @@stanley3647 being prohibitted ! does that stop a driver/rider going through red lights, parking on yellow lines or even parking on the pavements AFTER they have drove on the said pavement.

    The riding on the pavement nearly into the couple is indefensible, but from the rider's perspective, you're all just blocking the road with your cumbersome rolling armoured people-squashing lounges. Cycling is awesome when you're that person's age. It's pretty good at any age, but I might not take as many chances as that one did. I'd quietly envy youth while waiting slightly irritably behind all the ridiculous sheds getting in my way.
    It's a nice video - wish you'd cut it shorter, I waited for the punchline of you turning to show him squashed in the road.

      Why is everyone so tribal these days he was on two wheels this guy was on four and so what, it does not make either any more superior to the other. I even know some people who do both do I hate on them when they drive and laud them when on the pushbike? The sudden unpredictable movements is the issue and those drivers in their 'sheds' have the right to be on the road as much as he does. A legitimate posting by the youtuber here not tribal. If we all get on bikes who do we hate on then? Is life so boring that we get to this point we get wound up by peoples modes of transport?

    • @trs4u
      @trs4u 3 месяца назад

      @@issigonis975 I also occasionally drive a people-squashing, traffic-jam-causing, armoured lounge around. It offers considerable comfort and isolation. I also occasionally ride Shanks' Pony too, sometimes long distances (20+km?) *for transport*. I'm not being "tribal", I'm as conscious of the merits/drawbacks whichever mode I'm employing - both for me and for others. The flavour of my OP was largely determined by the title of this video post. It doesn't exactly invite even-handed discussion of the content?
