You run a great informative channel ... been following for a while. Always clear and concise, well explained with good pictures .... great work keep it up!
Do they ever sell any sort of custom kit for that connector goes into back of the fusebox? $50 per wire is a total robbery although i know companies loves making these highly specified tools/connectors to gain extra cash.
So whenever I bring up about updating the lights on my 986 to more modern led's.. and I particularly love the look of these and the 718 style rear lights. People always say, you should keep it original, mostly because of the look, but I keep hearing these aftermarket lights are no good, and can cause problems for the car. So I want to hear your opinion. Are these actually good?
+Janez Pungartnik there are some cheaper drop in Chinese made replacements that I have heard die pretty fast. The ones I got have better reviews and I really like them so far. More expensive course. I always say do what you like for the looks, it’s your car, but research which parts are good.
Maybe I missed it but I didn’t see how much you paid for those lights that would be very helpful if you always go through cost breakouts of things and choices that you thought were the way to go appreciate it
+Sean Denny here’s a link to the video where I installed the lights themselves. In the description is a link to them so you can see costs. I’ll try to mention it, thanks for the suggestion! ruclips.net/video/WuquQDSe-hQ/видео.html
So beautiful for sure ! but so complicated to do.... Hope to find mechanic expert in France (Lyon) to do this job, your Boxster is so nice with all lights that you add ! Next step te steering wheel ? ;)
+Forrest BREJON thank you! It’s a little complicated, but I show you EXACTLY what to do so you can tackle it! I already have a video for changing the steering wheel too 😉
Thanks for your posting Boxster projects, you’ve been a great help in upgrading and maintaining my car.
+Kenneth Pitt love that I’ve been able to help along the way!
I definitely have to say thanks! Without your videos, I would not be as confident as I am now with working on my 2000 Boxster!! Keep up the good work!
+Lawrence Kok you’re welcome, I’ll try 😉🍻

I have a question. Can I have these porsche daytime running lights installed on a 2007 Mazda cx7 or basically any other car?
+1959_caddillac_eldorado I guess so? Might look weird but if you can make them fit they would work.
@@HelpMeDIY ok

+Raymond Mumford thanks man! 🍻

@@HelpMeDIY I saw some 991 steering wheels on 987, do you think is adaptable on 986 ?
@@forrestbrejon5041 hmm good question. I’m not sure I haven’t researched that

Nice video. I personally used the dumb guy way to hook up mine. 😁
Where did you pickup the kit from ?
+Frank Leonard there is a link and more info on the lights in my video on the headlight upgrade, but they are from RetrofitLab.
