I was literally JUST starting to type out “Also, a reminder that there’s no ‘right or wrong’ to makeup! Whatever YOU like how it looks is beautiful.❤️” as she said that there is nothing wrong with other types of makeup. Not even exaggerating.
I followed the advice and was just a little more careful with my concealer shade (I mixed 2 to get the exact match), softened my eyebrows, eyeliner and blush. I had never felt so effortlessly pretty !
You completely changed how I view and apply my makeup 💝 three years ago I think, I found your channel and it really opened my eyes to makeup for my face 💗
As someone who wears natural makeup, my biggest regret was buying that red Rare Beauty liquid blush 😳 I knew a little went a long way, but DAMN it's even more noticeable on a natural look 😂 so THANK U for sharing the foundation hack 'cause I never thought about that 🤦& I almost gave it away!
Being comfortable to see your face without makeup is so hard i always think of starting to wear less makeup but somehow still have the urge to wear at least a lip gloss and concealer my face feels so incomplete without make up haha
OMG I love your videos so much, your channel is like a breath of fresh air in a consumerist focused space on the internet (beauty Industry and influencing). I like how you’re actually giving realistic advice and hacks that can be done without needing to constantly be purchasing products (like the mascara hack) ❤️ I really like that + you’re teaching us really good techniques 😊 much love xoxo
I never really wear makeup (proud to say I've mastered that first tip haha) but watching your videos made me want to! Your videos give me just the right amount of ~coverage~ 😅 thanks, Haley!
I'm glad u posted this . Haley, it hasn't been long since I started watching ur videos and you have helped me improve my relationship with makeup and self acceptance. You have completely changed my perspective about makeup and my approach towards it. Thank you so much.
Omg this is the first time someone has said what I always tell people. I get so anxious when I go to put makeup on because I feel like I’m putting “makeup on a pig” so nothing will come out right. So when I start I obsessively over apply. The mindset is a huge change I’ve had to learn to make
Your advice is so valuable. ❤ Maybe you could make a video about wearing bold lipstick/dark lipstick colours in an opaque way without looking like it's "too much"? I know, you're more into the natural style and I love that on an everyday basis. Sometimes, playing with other colours can be fun though. 😅😊
I have pimples and i just started doing my makeup same way,i apply tinted sunscreen and it does a pretty good job evening out my skin then i spot conceal my blemishes with nars soft matte concealer and that’s it my skin looks better without looking full face of masked makeup, took me years to figure out this technique i used to apply concealer all over my face and it looked flat so i add more and more product ! I’m amazed that you’re sharing techniques I’m following,I thought tinted moisturizers are for people with clear skin but i was wrong
I have been pointing my daughter in the direction of your of RUclips videos as she becomes interested and wants to learn about make up! She will be a world ahead of me when I was her age. Excellent content, especially this video! One tip I have found also is to dress a little more elevated and my best, have my hair done and skin care before I ever sit down to look at my face for make up application. I ALWAYS apply less this way because I feel better. Perhaps this goes with the mindset also. I have also found that in years past, we typically equate good quality, make up with having high coverage and good texture, but this just isn’t the case. High coverage products are not all where it’s at especially for those of us wanting a more natural look. I have actually found sheer make up products that I don’t have to blend to the nines the best! I more recently discovered Revlon’s classic Super Lustrous Lipsticks in sheer shades (online only) and find them to be comparable to high and products! The shades are so elegant and I just can’t believe they’ve been around for a long time! And they are so inexpensive. An alternative way I have found do use my eyebrow pencil is to brush my hairs, straight down and fill in only the areas with gaps. When I brush them back up and place, it diffuses the color and looks perfectly natural. I get compliments on my brows when I do this! Also, if a lip color looks good on you bare faced, no color, it’s a keeper.
Hey Hailey! I love your content, being an asian with dark circles I always struggled with concealer but your videos helped me alot. Just a lil request please share your skincare routines too. Lots of love ❤️
I was watching this randomly while washing my dishes and i had to stop and restart the whole vid because the more i watch it the more i realize this is golden!!! Thank you for sharing all these tricks❤❤❤
Hey Haley, Love the video. Can you please use one of your dark skin friends/subscribers to show your version of natural makeup on their skintone? It is rare to find truly natural version of full makeup on brown skin. In most videos, they end up adding a lot of foundation/concealer and rest of powders. Ends up looking very made up. Also cause brown skin usually has uneven tones on different parts of the face.
I went to school for musical theatre and got into the habit of wearing too much makeup- kinda like stage makeup. A younger friend hinted this year that I don't need that much makeup and I didn't understand until I saw this video. Thank you love!
Yes good intro. I like your examples of do and don’t. I only wear makeup for special occasions but still like the natural look. My job is in a sterile environment so no makeup allowed since particles might shed
I just want to say, thank you Haley for your videos. After a lot of trial and error, I have found a good makeup set for me. Your videos are so encouraging. Please keep it up.
can u please explain the purpose types applications and effects of powder? i love natural makeup and it always looks good right after but then a few hours down the line some of us look like oil balls! powder is needed for longevity but not a lot of us know how to use it 😅
Loved your video as always !!! ❤ It would be great too if you mention the product name on the screen. Some of the lipshades you used were just so good!!!
I love this video hayley! Im pretty new to makeup and i prefer a natural look. I always feel clownish when i have to wear full glam for weddings and such, so this video is great advice for me. Do you have any tips for getting make up to stay on oily skin? I find at the end of the day the makeup just disappears. 8:04 8:04 8:04

Hi Haley, I have been watchin your videos for around an year now. I really like your focus on natural makeup. The outer part of my eyebrow is very spare and hardly able to seen. How can I fill it while looking natural? I have tried both brow pencil and brow powder. Both of them looks like coloring since I don't have much hair to start with.
i almost never take photos of myself nor allow my friends to include me in their pictures because of my face. I don't like how I look and do feel insecure. But recently, I've gained an interest in makeup because I want to highlight certain features of my face and maybe, I could overcome that insecurity of mine and discover a new side of me. Personally, I'm not a fan of heavy makeup and would just want to learn how to do everyday, natural type of makeup. So your tips are very helpful. I think the mindset is the crucial part in this process. (btw, im new here :D)
Hi I love your video! 🥺❤️ But is there anyway you could share the all the products you used with us? I especially love the blush and concealer that you used!!
I loved the tips and subtle ways to apply makeup I am going to apply natural makeup forever. Or not wear makeup at all. I used to put foundation a tone paler when I was in college and it was ok until I went in the sun and then my skin would get taned and it wouldn’t match anymore I think I also never had a moisturiser to look natural and even it out. Thank you the tip for the eyes Hope you can make a detailed video for lips.
omg i love your video so much. lots of useful information and tips without unnecessary talking. would you mind recommend some lipstick for natural coverage? it would help us a lot.
I just love your videos! I have light to light-medium olive skin tone. Can you recommend a concealer for spot concealing on the face? I don’t wear foundation. I spot conceal and cover a few hyperpigmentation areas or slight redness on my nose and chin with a concealer. I have dry skin. Any recommendations? Thanks so much!
my forehead area is the darkest area on my face, i have used the match shade on my skin, but its still looks darker. can you give me any tips to overcome that? i would like to know it🤩😁
What was the lip color that you used? I am having trouble finding the exact lip products you used in two of your other videos (could be discontinued). Thank you so much!
I always love your videos! I’ve been following you for a while now and I can confidently say that your videos help me wear less make up and appreciate my natural beauty. Nowadays I only wear concealer on some days and curl my lashes and brush my brows. I’ve come a long way thanks to your help Hayley 💖
Do you like the intro ? 😅🤣
Loved it.❤❤
Completely relate to the intro 😅
Yes!!! Loved it❤😊
Yup 😂
yeahhh❤️
I love how she directly goes to the point without any unnecessary talking.
Those little tips are really helpful
This is the first tutorial that I’ve seen that really helped me understand why my “natural” makeup wasn’t creating the effect I wanted.

when should we add that if we have oily or combination skin
