"The bomb's payload is exposed, I can use the Power Winch to trigger a controlled explosion." The first time the player is exposed to this line in Batman Arkham Knight is truly the most pivotal point in the entire franchise or maybe the history of gaming as a whole. The crisp enunciation of Man's delivery, combined with the triumphant and atmospheric tone, conveyed by the soundtrack, sends shivers down the spine of anyone who hears it. Truly an unforgettable moment. Dare I say, rivaled only by the Jonkler's shocking dialogue upon hearing "Officer Balls" in the Aslume, or perhaps, even the Bone and Killer Cock boss battles. No other moments in gaming before, or since, have had such a long lasting impact on the state of media or our modern society.
I agree 😂😂
it seems the aslume has an escaped patient. Better go back there willingly before it's too late.
Go back to your cell inmate
Stay back I have got a bomb@@nikopogo1
"Officer balls"
BWAHAHAHAHA
I would actually argue that in Arkham Asylum, its most pivotal scene was when Joker infected himself with the Titan formula as it became a catalyst for the events that followed in the next games. Sure the Titan already existed, but had Joker not infected himself what he did in Arkham Asylum would have just been a regular night for him.
Agreed! Wait... you are the guy from "I played arkham for the first time" videos
@@dukeslytalker1192he's everywhere regarding Arkham content on RUclips
I was just thinking about that
23:28 in the novel batman knew jason was the arkham knight but voluntarily ignored the signs in hopes he was wrong, thats why in the scene he isn't too shocked but more like disappointed
I didn’t know that? Do you know what issue by any chance?
@@GothamPaladin its a novel called "batman arkham knight the official novelization" it also confirms that james jr. exists in the arkhamverse
For Arkham Asylum, I feel like they are two more pivotal scene: Scarecrow is kidnapped by Waylon Jones, leading to Crane wanting revenge on Batman, leading to Arkham Knight and the fall of Batman and the rise of The Nightmare.
And the other scene is Joker shooting himself with the Titan, leading to his poisoning, the four jokers, the tiring of Bruce during the night of City of Fear, leading to him making the mistake of not activating the damn tracker like he did with Nightwing
Does anybody else love that he didn't even talk or mention anything about Suicide Squad? 🤣😭
what's that?🧐
Yeah because it’s just the league dying.
Arh brother, what's that
yeah cause batman wasn't the main character in that game 😂
What’s that
16:05 you forgetting that talia literally died for batman, plus she is the only one that bruce uses his normal voice to talk to as batman later in knight bruce does start speaking to selina that way too but imo its talia she's constantly in batman's mind to a degree that even oracle thought it was a problem
My favourite scenes include final confrontation with bane. Where they dive deep into Batman’s no kill rule and Batman has to overcome with shock gloves. It really ties up everything that Batman learned in the game. Alfred resurrection, medics in black gate and electrocutioners words in beginning. In that fight there are so many stakes. Joker, Batman, Bane and Gordon’s life. Kinda sad that it wasn’t included in video. Great video nonetheless
There is two major and pivotal scenes I love
The first is Batman finding out about, meeting and saving The Joker for the first time. “…Someone named, *The Joker* “ and “Who forces a man to kill the ones he loves? The Joker” those two sentences sent chills down my spine. Like at this point in the series The Joker is only a shadow or phantom and you can here how uneasy Batman is when he finds out why Joker killed Tiffany, not because she was in his way but because he wanted to, he wanted Roman to suffer. The Joker is a new type of enemy he hasn’t dealt with yet and I think it scared him a bit. And then Batman saving him, twice might I add, instead of letting him fall and stopping him from killing himself, that set them both on a path that defy the both of their journeys as archenemies, it would also seal the fates of so many innocent people but at the same time Batman can’t betray his code. It’s such great writing
The second is The Joker’s death. “You wanna know something funny? Even after everything you’ve done, I would’ve saved you”. That is one of the best moments in the series, deep, deep down Batman does care about The Joker, I think he’s the one villain who he wants to save but can’t, he can’t change him. He even CARRIES his lifeless body out of Arkham City, The Joker’s death changed him it left a gaping hole Im that couldn’t be filled. . Idk if I’m crazy but I cried when Joker died, am I wrong to feel that way?
Rha's, Mr Freeze and Croc's missions on AK were pretty pivotal for me since they showed a side of those characters that you dont see that much outside of comics.
But I'll keep the the ending of Rha's as the most important one
Its always good when gothampaladin posts
The thing with Batman and his love life, in my opinion as a long time comic book reader, is that his love life is and always has been the least interesting thing about him as a character and just drags immeasurably and only just bogs down his stories. The reason why in my opinion Andrea Beaumont is the best love interest for Batman is because in the film it ends with them accepting they can never be together and in my opinion even if they did, Batman is not completely able to accept something like that. Or at least I don't think there has ever been something in the comics so far that would convince me otherwise.
If bro don’t hit 100k soon I’m gonna personally make 100k accounts to sub to him
19:20 the Jonkler 😂
These games existence is pivotal
GothamPaladin please never stop hiding random stuff in the subtitles its hilarious

@@jimbobkevin 16:23 "We need money Dutch." I saw another one elsewhere, but can't remember where
At some point there was a bat daddy
I think the reason why batman was upset about jokers death is because he knows that the joker is a crazy guy with mental issues and a obsession with batman and batman wanted to fix him and the joker dying hit batman hard because he thought he could redeem the joker and help him
Nice takes! Those are all great moments from each game, well done bro!
Your videos are always the best🦇
I’m excited to watch this video

Great video BUT, you missed one MASSIVE MASSIVE thing in Arkham Asylum. The most pivotal moment in that game is Croc capturing and mauling Scarecrow. Without that scene, Arkham Knight would never have happened the way it did, the entire Scarecrow plot of that game wouldn’t have happened. It would only have been a Jason revenge story, thus, Batman wouldn’t have actually been able to use Scarecrows fear toxin to fake out the Joker by letting him take over and then locking him away from the inside of his mind by letting Scarecrow accidentally exploit the Jokers fear of being forgotten. Batman would have actually succumbed to being the Joker if not for Scarecrow.
Let me elaborate. Scarecrow perceives what happened to him in Asylum as Batmans fault for not backing off and letting him go when he asked him to, leading him to feel that Batman backed him into Croc who then obviously mauled him greatly.
Scarecrow touches on it briefly in Knight but you can tell by how Scarecrow returns that the Croc event made him snap.
He went from being a scrawny B list scientist with an obsession with fear and its power to control and torment to prove a point; to someone who had to dropped the silly crazed scientist persona and take himself and his scientific talents seriously, and to really focus on making an example of Batman in a serious and impactful manner, and in a way, he actually won. He successfully exposed ‘Batman’ as just a man and causes Batman to activate nightfall. But back to Scarecrow, had he not felt that Batman caused his mauling by Croc, he wouldn’t have had a reason to gain that sense of grander purpose and go from just spaffing Batman with scary gas now and then to making the entirety of central Gotham a hellhole not only to expose Batman but to spread fear and terror on a city wide scale for the whole world to watch. (which originally was supposed to be literally the entire East coast of the USA but Batman managed to reduce it to just central Gotham)
The fact that Scarecrow managed to pull himself together enough and be resourceful enough to be literal seconds away from completely caking the entire Eastern coast of the USA in gas says something about how much he had to reevaluate himself, his persona, his methods and goals after Croc almost killed him because of Batman.
No hate on the video of course, this is just my personal opinion
I love the captions on this channel 😂
10:13 does this trolley go to tahiti?
scarecrow getting slayed by croc is literally a pivotal moment js.
One pivotal point in the games is when killer croc attacks scarecrow leading to his transformation in Arkham Knight
I think for the rest it's generally pretty subjective, but for Arkham Knight, the Panessa Studios Mission with Robin is the most pivotal in my eyes.
This is the mission where you see the devastating effects of the CJD Joker infected his victims with be fully realized, where we first get hinted that Jason is the Arkham Knight with the Scarecrow-induced Joker hallucinations with Batman losing it more each time, and where we get to fight alongside Robin for the very first (and only) Dynamic Duo appearance in the series on three differently-styled objectives. The betrayal of Henry is also an insane twist that, while retrospectively you could've seen coming, makes it way darker, especially seeing how he "handled" the other Jokers.
Most notably though, of course, is that it's where it is first explicitly acknowledged by characters other than Batman that Joker is taking over Bruce's body, that he's a bigger menace to the entire city than he is an asset in saving it. The thing where he doesn't really go into the cell and he has to do it all over again after another brutalizing Jason Todd torture scene (bringing back the theme of Arkham Knight of bad things happening to those who work with Bats) is already hefty, and THEN he goes and slams Robin into the cell, which, holy hell dude, the first time I played through that I was left dumbfounded because it was the first real time it felt like Arkham Batman was making the wrong choice. After that it feels like you're really on the brink of losing control to Joker again, and that Batman may just fail at his task. And then when you finally leave Panessa, you have to go after the Knight again? Just like that? Jeez.
Absolutely amazing mission, definitely the turning point of Knight for me and one of my favorites across the whole series.
"We are going to taste Dutch 😂" 10:14
16:19 “we need money Dutch” my favourite aslume moment
21:38 don’t forget the fact he’s literally tearing up in this scene when you look at his eyes in photo mode
0:33 bros got some lofty Twitter goals
I think the most pivotal moment in aslyum is scarecrow getting mauled by croc, it sets up his character in arkham knight
I think that jokers backstory in origins was one of if not the best
Another W vid from the goat.
If i had to choose some of the most pivotal through the series:
ORIGINS
1) batman saving joker - leads to jokers obsession with batman and FINALLY someone else brings up how joker causes chaos because he has nothing else left and doesnt want to live despite not planning to kill himself. He looked at that missile from bane like a release from life and when batman saved him, everything changed for him
2) batman and gordon after firefly gets captured - they are able to acknowledge that they are more similar than they thought and kind of sews the seeds for their relationship later
3) batman saving alfred - allows batman to see how he neglects his allies and that he cant do everything on his own and allows alfred to see what the citizens of gotham feel like and how important batman is
4) HM would be vicki vale getting batman on video since it confirms to the world that batman exists and forces batman out of the shadows a little bit
ASYLUM
The one i think of is just joker injecting himself with titan because it sets in motion everything in arkham city and knight in a way too
Edit: someone here mentioned scarecrow getting grabbed by croc and i totally agree. It tears crane apart and leaves him how he looks in knight and makes him fiend for his revenge on batman that he gets in knight
CITY
1) Joker infects batman - sets in motion the main plot of the game and leads to batman's state in AK
2) Joker dies - changes batman completely going forward, shows that he wouldve saved joker (and anyone like him) if given the chance, also impacts batman's mentality/state in AK as well as lastly ruining harley basically forever
KNIGHT
1) Joker takes over batman in staggs airship - shows the power joker has and that not even batman could hold him back at that point. Batman wouldve killed had he been given the chance there which shows how broken he is and the look batman gives joker after he snaps back into control is very telling
2) Batman gives himself up to scarecrow - batman kind of accepts that he needs to sacrifice himself for robin and gordon and shows how despite his controlling actions towards the bat family in this game, he wants whats best for them and it helps jason see that batman never left him
3) Batman unmasked - effectively kills off batman as we know it and changes bruce's life as he can no longer live in the public eye
Pivotal moment in Arkham was GothamPaladin joining RUclips and being a mvp of the community🎉
My favorite Batman: Arkham moments was Alfred and Bruce argument and Joker being saved by Batman I love both theses scenes bc it represents the dynamic between both of the characters Batman interacting with and I love that about the Batman: Arkham series but man I wish we had at least one or two more games of this series but I’m still glad we got so much during the Arkhamverse era which I really do miss.
Gotham Paladin is a pretty cool guy
The most pivotal points to me are: Batman saving joker from falling in origins, scare crow getting taking by croc in asylum, joker injecting himself with titan in asylum, jokers death in city, and Batman letting crane capture him in knight
Yes
"We need money Dutch" 💀
Love your videos. Also are you going to make more Spider-Man vids ??
people dog on origins for the black mask stuff too much, black mask would be nothing more than a generic mobster batman needs to take out. with joker they actually do something interesting. it would be nice to see batman go after other villains, but this game has some of the best joker stuff ever, better than anything they could've done with sionis
Two moments of Pivotal dialogue in Arkham Asylum for r/Arkham was when the Joker suggested he drop his pants and be imagined wearing a thong
The most pivotal moment in the entire series is the officer boles scene.
Keep it up on your work and this video and channel
I love this video and channel
Thanks you for your video and channel
I love Batman Arkham All franchise
"Got that,Mr. Cutioner!?"
The scene where she dies isn’t where Batman meets Dr Young. They meet in the medical center before the first scarecrow encounter
I like how they reused Origins' line in Arkham Knight "You know there's only one way to stop me"
What’s this protege from?
Batman meets doctor Young at the Intensive Treatment hallway when escorting Joker, not the mansion.
I think Croc mauling Crane is quite Pivotal too
I would say: Batman saving joker from the fall. (That when their relationship really starts)
Gordon kidnap to black gate (starts the almost obsession between joker and the Gordon family.
Asylum: Scarecrow loses his face. (Basis for asylum)
Joker transforms into that monster and gets poisoned (the bases for City.
Jokers death (kinda obvious)
City of Fear (the city will never be the same)
Batmans identity reveal (that's how the batman died)
the pivotal moment in origins and knight for me is when they let batman beat deathstroke and it doesn't make any sense but maybe the devs did it because they don't want their main character of the game die so early on in the franchise.
Where did you find that arkham font for the titles?
Arkham Origins has been and will always be not just my favorite Batman game but my favorite single player game
"bruce can't choose happiness" and now imagine if we had mask of the phantasm
Dr. Young’s death scene was not the first time Batman met her in the game. Also, what about the Croc attacking Scarecrow scene that set up all the easter eggs and events of Arkham Knight?
8:59 ayo “batdaddy???”
Retitle: why Paladin thinks Origins is importantly
I would argue that in Batman Arkham knight, it’s the scene ending scene, because my man Batman just will powers his why out of fear toxin, which mind you cause „long term physiological damage“ and even physical damage, I think this is peak Batman.
I was not a fan of batman before playing the arkham games, and i didn't follow super hero content at all, but after getting the trilogy minus origins on steam for 9 bucks it gave me newfound appreciation on the characters and how they are written
10:14, We're going to Tahiti Dutch?
I respect you so much more for not including, “squad”
What you just said is you respect him more for ignoring things he doesn’t like
@@Speak22wastaken I’m saying that because of how disrespectful it is to the series
@@Joey-vs4fr and that makes it respectful to ignore? I get that it has many impossibilities but ppl are hating on it too much, it has a fun game play loop and the devs specifically made sure not to kill the justice league
@@Speak22wastaken I guess it is fun to play but even if they were clones they shouldn’t be able to kill them
It’s still disrespectful to the characters
@@Joey-vs4fr they beat a batman under a small dose of a special fear toxin (likely not enough to cause full scale fear but enough to distract, probably a similar dosage to what killer croc got when he ate scarecrow based on fighting styles), it’s reasonable, and the used special tech for all other league members, they also had access to extremely powerful guns and had their neural chemistry altered
When gothampaladin posts, I instantly click
I thought that Gordon always knew he was batman
We need money! Arthur!
At 12:46 I would have to agree with his statement about arkham origins being a prequel since first people would say it isn't considered an arkham game since rocksteady didn't make it but, it would be considered the start of bruce becoming batman and dealing with all these villains and since he has already figured out how joker ticks in origin, he isn't affected by it during the rest of the arkham games like how he stayed calm when joker inflicted himself with titan but it's just a theory
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
A GAME THEORY. Thanks for reading 👍
Another thing I would add is that Arkham Origins would be the start of Batman of his whole doing things by himself while in Arkham Knight it would show how far he has come like keeping his allies safe like locking Robin in the cell and not telling Gordon that his daughter is still in Gotham and more stuff he has improved on which further more supports his statement about Arkham Origins being the start of the Arkham game even if it wasn't made by rocksteady
8:57 Batdaddy? Excuse me? 😳

If i could start a Arkham RUclips i would.
But i dont wanna seem im copying lol..

I'd say batmans death in ssktjl was pretty pivotal in batman's ark
Ayo, at 8:52 it says Batdaddy!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why there are polish subtitles in catwoman cutscene from arkham knight ?
As someone who played these games in order and boy dose origins when you play them in order because you don't if alfred is alive and other things
22:24 what the ost in the background?
Batman Arkham City - A History of Violence (OST)
The most pivotal point in ss kill the justice league was when nobody bought the game proving it to be non canon
Arkham Origins is underrated and I loved it more than Arkham Knight....there I said it!
19:19 BWAHAHAH
it's not pivotal i prefer it as a easter egg but actually the scene when Batman was holding Joker at the end of Arkham City it was based on the painting in the very beginning of the game where catwoman was opening the vault

I disagree Talia is Batman real love interest. He literally set catwoman aside at the end of knight. And Talia literally says she had to save him In City showing she cares for him too
There were no impactful moments in trash Arkham knight the worst Arkham game and one of the worst sequels I have ever played.
Wow whats your problem
The game is not flawless but it's still great
I understand if it's not your favorite but it is still a lot of fun and has great moments
its also my least favorite arkham game but it was still really good imo
I love Arkham Knight. It was the first Arkham game I ever played and it’s the reason I fell in love with the series. After playing Arkham City I agree the story isn’t the best, but whenever I replay the games I always enjoy knight the most.
