I graduated high school in 1965 ... Same year I lost my '54 and bought a used '64 to replace it ... these are great guitars and this one is gorgeous. A real time machine example.
How did you lose a 1954 Strat? 64 is arguably my favorite year! I love those mid 60‘s target bursts and the transition logo. Also, in 64 the pickups sound better in my opinion.
Fantastic Demo, thank you for sharing this and thank you for giving Aaron the opportunity to play for us. Love the neck pickup on this Strat, just beautiful.
Well, I guess I expected something a little better from a “1965 Stratocaster”, joking. That is unbelievably astonishing. What a masterpiece. Thank you guys so much for showing us these gems.
Aaron. You burn! You have become one of my favorite players. That Strat? Aside from being stunningly gorgeous, it’s the other cleanest vintage Strat I’ve ever seen, along with its red mate. Y’all just kill me. 🎶🎶🌻🌻🌈🌅🎶🎶🌷🧡
Love these! And love all the demos y'all do!! Oh, and when I buy one of these vintage strats, I need one of those bad ass e.c.g hoody's mr h. always don's!
Man if I only had the money to buy that beauty 65 was the year I was born I would have you send it to me today or I would come get it. Great playing Aron and the Blondie t shirt was great Trevor👍👍🤙
Anyone buying a vintage guitar Strat especially w/o playing first needs to know they all have little idiosyncrasies Not all but some will have an E string that will slip over the board Just little things that you adjust to Like I said not all but being literally hand made they are not going to be perfect but some are But we'll worth the extra effort from a tonal point of view Dip your toes in the water w a player grade pieces first and definitely play a vintage piece first or you might get a surprise The 7.25 radius is something to consider as well because the action has to be up a little for the major bends on those small original frets And why the builder's went to 9.5 radius and flatter Huge price tag on something you might not be able to get used to AND never rush into a purchase unless you're absolutely sure it's the one Good luck LoL I remember buying a lovely 59 strat w an awesome 58 V profile neck for 3K Mmmmm those were the days
Anyone else feel same as me ? I like me vintage gear to look and play like vintage gear….no vibe for me on things that look like they could be hanging on the wall of Guitar Center….
Thats the problem with a vintage guitar that still looks like show room new. If it already had the vintage scratches and dings you don't feel guilty playing it live giving adding more scratches and dings. If its perfect you don't want to put scratch on it.
Sure sounds like a strat lol I'm partial to the L series because I own one Much better than my 72 The 65 pickups are just magic Not as quiet as my CS stuff but well worth the bit of extra noise but if you don't high gain her up All good That's rock n roll

A very nice looking guitar that sounds like it needs playing in.

Creased the manual by sticking it in your back pocket?
