My food shopping has improved significantly since watching your videos. Eating better food for less. Also finally started cooking more. Spent years looking for a cookbook of Simple recipes, but everyone seems more interested in showing off than helping people like me learn basic cooking. I wanted simple recipes with no fancy ingredients to help me start, and learn seasonings and such later. Your shopping/meal videos have finally solved it for me after far too many years. Been cooking more, cooking things I've never tried before, and eating way better and more healthy on far less money. I just love seeing how good a meal could be made with few ingredients and "cheap" food, and it gives me the starting point I've been looking for.
A few years ago I would watch makeup hauls by Jeffree Star and then get excited for his tutorials... now I get excited to watch Frugal Fit Mom’s grocery hauls and anxiously await her food prep Olympics... man times have changed 😂
I just put them on and let them play, even if I've seen them already. So calming and fun at the same time. I also love when she kind of measures. I do the same thing. 😂
As a non American watching you do your extreme grocery and clean out challenge I often see the ingredients and think off traditional or local cuisine as that’s what I’m used to. So that got me thinking maybe that would be an fun video idea. Trying cheap and simple meals from other countries.
I remember when grocery pick up started, I wanted to hug every shopper that brought out my groceries. I always told them how much I loved them.... most of them looked at me like I was crazy. But three small kids it has been such a BLESSING!
Italian viewer here! Love your videos! It’s actually spelled arrabbiata. It is a spicy sauce made with dried hot chili’s so the name literally translates to “angry”. So good! 😋 would love to see a taste test! Great idea!
You are so inspiring and down to earth. I'm in my 50 's and work at a Walmart (24 yrs.) in Colorado filling orders for online grocery, it's hard work, so glad you love pick up, I use it myself after shopping for everyone it's the last thing I want to do for myself. I also follow your newest channel. You're Amazing!
I've always wondered this, I've worked at WalMart before, but not in grocery. Do you get interrupted a lot? Or do people actually realize what you're doing? Since the online grocery thing is sorta time sensitive are you still expected to help every person that asks you where this is, or if you can see if this is in stock or you know... all the usual customer inquiries?
@@andrea.rivers Yes!! We do get interrupted a lot! I enjoy helping people find their merchandise and most people do understand we are up against a deadline.
As a mom with almost 3 kiddos(two of them will be under 1 when baby arrives), I can’t even begin to tell you how much I appreciate grocery pickup! Thank you for your hard work, especially during these times💜
One thing... if you use can beans consider changing to raw beans they are much cheaper oer pound. Soak overnight. Morning rinse, simmer for a couple of hours. Rinse. Wait till cool, then put 1 cup or 2 into sandwich bags. Freeze. Keeps forever. Just as convenient as canned, no salt, etc.
Good morning you're such a breath of fresh air I want a drop of your energy it's 63 and a half I try but that energy that you have is a God's gift thank you for sharing💜💚❤💙🧡🧡🤗🤗
I really appreciate that you put the time stamps in your description. I will be coming back to your channel just because I know I can do that. Thank you!
I just want to say thank you for finding time in your life to share your videos. I am a 26 year old married mom to 2 boys and your content and you as a person have helped change my life so much 🖤 your positivity is so infectious!
I also wanted to mention but of course hit the “post” to quickly, I have twins who are now 26, and I would have LOVED to shop the way we can now! I remember the days of pushing one cart with a baby seat in front AND back, and then pulling another cart for the food! I lived up 33 steps. I used to carry the seats half way up to the landing. Run down, grab the groceries, bring them to the landing, carry the kids seats up the rest of the way and bring them inside, leave them in their seats, run back down to the landing and get the groceries then run back up. It was crazy!!
Single mom to twin boys, that was me before the pandemic. Car seats, strollers, groceries, extra carts etc. I'm glad I no longer have to go inside Walmart. I still do the running back and forth getting everything and everyone inside lol great workout though.
no kids but an 8 lb of chihuahua makes who goes grocery shopping with me way too much I'm still wonder how parents do the whole grocery shopping with a stroller thingI have tried everything from putting the stroller at the bottom of the car to stacking groceries on top of the stroller and cujo winds up riding with the sodas before anyone asks why don't I put my groceries in the bottom of the strollerwe had a little incident with the feral cats in our yard and ended up having to remove the bottom basket I wasn't a fan ofusing it since it's a City mini and for one reason or another it's a pain in the ass to get things in and out of it
Why did you have to do my like that by starting the video say “I hope you’re having a productive day”? 😭😭 I just sat down to watch this and procrastinate 😂💕
Video idea- 10 things I didn’t have when I had kids, but think Mom’s should be doing and using now to save money, e.g. grocery pickup/delivery, Craig’s list for baby gear, etc and why😀
I’m late to the party here, but I have to tell you the best deal I ever got from Walmart pickup. I ordered the 13 pound bag of dog food, they were out and substituted the 40 POUND bag for the same price!! I was thrilled!!!
My Walmart was out of the 8 oz. cheeses I ordered from grocery pickup and since they were out, they offered me the same cheeses in the 16 oz. size for the same price as the 8 oz. 😲 I've never purchased two pounds for 3.96... SCORE!
I ordered a 32 oz bag of meatballs and since they were out, they gave me an 80 oz bag for the same price of $4.82! 80 oz bags run 12 bucks! I love going there. Other places just wont get it for you at all. I've had many awesome substitutes. Highly recommend!
That's awesome! If you find a Walmart in your area that gives good substitutions just go there! I have a lot around me but most of them just mark stuff as out of stock instead of offering substitutions. But there are some good ones!
That happens on each of my orders! It’s really nice and of course when I tried to plan ahead and order two brands of items in case they were out of one I got both 🤦🏻♀️
Sometimes they mark things out of stock that cant possibly be(and arent when i walk in) and other times they give me gigantic upgrades (one pound of GV butter sub for 2 lb of land o lakes).
Mine allows shoppers to use their own. I spread out plastic bins in my trunk. Takes them almost no time to put everything in the bins. I don't worry about them mixing items up. I need to sanitize it all when I get home, anyway.
Thank you so much for the advice of looking at the ads! By just glancing at the local store ads, I, too, took some things off my grocery pick up order, ran in for the specials, which took 10 minutes, and saved over $40.00! Thanks again! Every penny counts!
Showing my best friend ur videos cause she has three kids and a husband and her father. She's in aww of how u can make this last 30 meals!! Cant wait to show her that video
You are an inspiration! I went thru my freezer and frig and made up some meals for my family for the week. Using up all my forgotten groceries. Even made cookies for dessert tonight. I also reorganized my spare room and cleaned out my frig. I am on fire today!!!! Bring it on laundry next!
Butt roast comes from the shoulder of the beef, which explains seeing both terms on the package. I'm interested in your taste test of pasta sauces. I use Rao's because it's one of the cleaner sauces (fewer ingredients, no preservatives on regular marinara). Enjoyed this video.
Another recipe I bet your kids would like is a Cavatini. It's pasta, spaghetti sauce, hamb or sausage or both, green olives, onions, peppers, mushrooms, spices/garlic and pepperoni. Stir it all together together and bake it in a dish w/a bunch of mozz on top. YUM!!!!
You will love the garlic in the paste form. I don't buy bulb garlic, chopped garlic or garlic powder or salt anymore. I simply use the paste. And it stays good much, much longer than the date on it says. I like the idea of paste form herbs, too. I'll have to look out for that. I can't buy bagged potatoes anymore; with just me and my husband, they end up going bad. I try to buy them loose a few at a time because I love my homemade mashed taters, but sometimes I just give in and do pasta instead. And I have never bought bagged onions, either, for the same reason as the taters. I just don't use them quick enough.
I used to online Grocery shop back in the late 80's /early 90's . It was not popular back then, and I never could figure out why not! So glad it is popular now.
I just discovered on Amazon you can set up monthly delivery for the ICE drinks and save much more than my local grocery store. Also you can order the flavor you like and skip the multi packs because there is always a flavor nobody cares for in those. 😂 Set up five monthly items and save 15%
I’ve found it isn’t worth it in low cost of living areas. Amazon will temporarily set the price to a bit more than the local sale price, you sign up, and the next month the price is raised to 80% over the local non-sale price. Worth it in expensive cities but not in cheaper areas.
I absolutely love your channel, you are so inspiring. I deal with anxiety & ptsd, and you make me think more positively daily . Also I made homemade pizzas with the Naan...game changer! Thank u so much
Here’s a challenge for you. We live in an RV and have little storage, no oven, and a small college size refrigerator with a tiny freezer compartment inside it. We have an instapot, air fryer and a two burner propane stove How would come up with food for a month?
I love watching these videos. When I was a kid, we went to the commissary for most of our groceries. We'd get two over-flowing carts for much less than $100. It amazes me how prices on some things, like groceries and gas, have gone up while other things, school supplies and plastic storage have gone down.
My dad wore suits all his career too. My mom had 2 closets full of them, for when he needed a size bigger, smaller, etc. The ironing that went into that, though. LOL! She was always at it, it seems, having a full-time job and doing almost all her household as well, as well as taking care of a kid. Moms get severely underestimated, especially those that try and juggle it all.
I just have to say I absolutely LOVE how you always quote shows and movies. You are just like me! I do it all the time and get such strange looks lol 😆
Yes. Please do a taste comparison of all three sauces. I’m not a fan of the spicy sauces but it would be fun for you to do a test comparison of all three marinara sauces as well. I’ve always wanted to try the Rao’s sauce but have a hard time spending the seven dollar price tag.
At my local grocery store the sales start on Thursday. So late on Tuesday night just before they close they slash prices on a lot of their meats to get them moved out of there before the new sale items come in on Wednesday. If you look at the tags, often the meat was only put out that day, so it's not even old. I always make sure to go there on Tuesday night to pick up some good sales. By noon on Wednesday all the markdown meets are sold out.
👍👍 on things being easier these days. When I had my first two in the late 90s all we had was thrift stores or the newspaper classifieds to find baby gear from. Then in 2010 when I had my son we had craigslist which was so much better since you could actually see pictures of what you were looking for but kinda weird cause you never who you were dealing with till you met with them. Fast forward to my last two kids and the options are overwhelming. Offer up and fb marketplace are my go to to sell the outgrown stuff and find new.
I agree with you on Albertsons pick up. Ours never seems to be busy, and I love that! I’ve even had them call when an item I had ordered was out of stock.
If you have an Asian/Indian section of your Wal Mart (I know UK supermarkets tend to) there tends to be cheaper tinned or jarred things like beans and tomatoes. Only mentioned because I can usually get a fairly cheap, jam jar sized, jar or garlic, ginger, or garlic/ginger paste. It works out really well and keeps for ages in the fridge. :)
Hey Christine! I love your videos! But, I have IBS and I was wondering if you could do a low fodmap diet grocery haul? That would be awesome 😎, so I can get some ideas for meals and stuff!!! Thanks for all you do!
I do Instacart. Because I don't drive, and sometimes I need stuff when my dad or uncle can't take me to the store. There is a monthly charge for express membership (no shipping cost for over $35 order), but I recommend tipping the shopper. She was great today. She got me everything I ordered, 2 substitutions though. But she didn't mess up at all. Sometimes they will leave an item out (and I have to report it), or sometimes they will give you an item you didn't order (because they might be shopping for two people at the same time.
I started using Fetch Rewards at the beginning of the year, so far so good. I like it shows how it breaks down my spending. For 💩 and 🤭 I decided to scan my receipt for my car registration. Fetch things I spend $110 at the liquor store. I wish! Ok not really, but it gave me 25 points 😊
Yes I totally agree none of these convenient services were available for me and my four kids 2 with disabilities so going to the store or anywhere was hard. But I was very thin so that’s good. I have one teen left and life is easier 👍
That’s a great value. That is just the food for what goes in the freezer, not any sides you might have added, right? This isn’t me complaining, just musing, and making lists and preparations and budgets :) The COL is higher here, but still...
I would have paid almost any amount of money for grocery pick up when my children were small. My son would scream from the moment I put him in the cart until the moment he got out. I used to go grocery shopping at 8am on Sunday as to not bother the other shoppers.
Pork butts are the shoulder of the pig. Not sure what the back end of a pig is called, but that roast is labeled accurately, even though it seems counterintuitive.
I use poshmark to buy and sell items we don’t need anymore and stuff for my nieces and nephew great side hustle also 💕 so strange all the ways we can just get things delivered, advancements are so odd to me still lol but I am 41 world is so different now.
Your videos are very inspiring! Especially your budget friendly grocery hauls and large family meals. We are currently a family of 7. I work full time, and have an hour commute too and from work everyday, so having meals like these are such a blessing to have on-hand on nights I'm too exhausted to come home and cook.
I have a FB post that pops up in my memories every year, where I said that it would be great if stores like Walmart had a drive thru where you ordered what you needed, someone else shopped for it and you just picked it up. It was probably about 8-10yrs ago when I posted that. Now my kids are 10,12 & 16, so I can shop without them but I’m so glad other moms of young children have this option.
It’s so good for kids I agree u do online shopping especially grocery I agree I struggled with a crying 2 month old baby I had to take her I had nobody to watch her Even now I go inside the store sometimes I haven’t tried road side pick up but I have done pick up inside Walmart and target
I said the same thing about WM grocery pickup: “where was this when the kids were babies?!” 😂 I have also not seen WW rotini at Walmart. There used to be a GV brand...wonder if it’s a COVID manufacturing casualty. 🤔
Great video! I find it's easier to budget meals for a few weeks at a time versus one week only (the savings are realized even more over time). This is great!
I absolutely love the blue raspberry sparkling ice, I was not a caffeine consumer until covid and I was at home with my kids all the time, and having to do E-learning.
Also a great tip...those coin star machines take a percentage from the amount redeemed BUT you can get a gift card and they don’t take anything!!! And there are tons of gift card choices including Amazon 😉
You and I are kindred spirits! I almost always know where you're going with your movie quotes and I love love love a good discount sticker and my discount grocery store. I also always take advantage of the bulk meat sales, then split it up for the freezer. I recommend your channel to all my mom friends that are trying to find ways to save money.
I'm literally watching this while my baby is in his jumperoo. I love doing curbside pick up for groceries. I started doing it while very pregnant because I couldn't walk very far. I do my shopping from home while he plays and then pick it up during nap time, it is so convenient.
When I was on a restricted cancer diet, the only spice I could use for meal prep was the ginger paste type as fresh and dried spices contained ingredients I had to avoid. I made it work. And Seeing that tube of ginger paste brought back memories.
Butt roast actually comes from the shoulder area, but, yes, they are actually two different cuts, just very close together on the pig. I wonder if this is all three (shoulder, butt, blade) in one roast?

My favorite is always going to be the Trader Joe's Arrabbiata. yum and inexpensive.
Excited about the 30 freezer meals! Where are you gonna put them?? I know you have 3 freezers but that’s a lot!! 😄
I love fetch!! I got receipts off the floor
Your personality is awesome! It kept me watching lol
As a mom of two with a baby due in a few months, grocery pick up has been the best thing! I haven’t stepped foot in a grocery store in months!
I agree with you on Albertsons pick up. Ours never seems to be busy, and I love that! I’ve even had them call when an item I had ordered was out of stock.
Loved all the wedding singer clips.. golden!
LOVE wedding singer. thank you for giving it the honor it deserves :D
Grocery pickup is so good. When it’s cold and snowy I hate doing groceries.
I'd love to see a taste test. I always buy the cheapest red sauce i can because i end adding a bunch of garlic/ herbs / veggies anyway
Great haul video.. I miss having an Albertson's.
Awesome video Christine! 😊🎉
I can’t wait until the freezer meal video comes out!🥳🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊
Fetch Rewards is good but you can only scan receipts once because I switched with friends and they said already scanned. But it is definitely good.
On the Safeway Just4u, the pasta sauces were only $.19 each with a limit of 2, in Colorado. Can't beat that!
Love taste tests! Include your kiddos and hubbie! Please!
Pork butts are the shoulder of the pig. Not sure what the back end of a pig is called, but that roast is labeled accurately, even though it seems counterintuitive.
Okay, I have to say. The ending was the best! Seriously, do that more often. So funny. God Bless
You don't have to scan your receipt with Ibotta if you use their app/ extension when you check out at Walmart. They've made it so easy!
I use poshmark to buy and sell items we don’t need anymore and stuff for my nieces and nephew great side hustle also 💕 so strange all the ways we can just get things delivered, advancements are so odd to me still lol but I am 41 world is so different now.
Yes PLEASE do a taste test of the sauce!
Your videos are very inspiring! Especially your budget friendly grocery hauls and large family meals. We are currently a family of 7. I work full time, and have an hour commute too and from work everyday, so having meals like these are such a blessing to have on-hand on nights I'm too exhausted to come home and cook.
Hysterical ending!! Can we be best friends?!🙏🏻😂😂😂
Of course!
I have two kids and I LOVE pickup options. It's definitely a lifesaver!
It’s so good for kids I agree u do online shopping especially grocery
I agree I struggled with a crying 2 month old baby
I had to take her I had nobody to watch her
Even now I go inside the store sometimes I haven’t tried road side pick up but I have done pick up inside Walmart and target
I said the same thing about WM grocery pickup: “where was this when the kids were babies?!” 😂 I have also not seen WW rotini at Walmart. There used to be a GV brand...wonder if it’s a COVID manufacturing casualty. 🤔
Maybe so!
Chuck roasts are best. Good buy.
“Nope not my turn yet”. So relatable. Haha
I love flavored water as well. I make a quart out of one of those drink powders
Check the added sugars in the spaghetti sauces. I do not think Rao’s had added sugars
Love taste test comparisons
I'm literally watching this while my baby is in his jumperoo. I love doing curbside pick up for groceries. I started doing it while very pregnant because I couldn't walk very far. I do my shopping from home while he plays and then pick it up during nap time, it is so convenient.
Best movie ever! Hey Linda...
The right spelling in arrabbiata with one T! Cheers from Trieste, Italy 🇮🇹
I love your little movie quotes. My children do it all the time to me. Lol You make me chuckle😂😂😂
When I was on a restricted cancer diet, the only spice I could use for meal prep was the ginger paste type as fresh and dried spices contained ingredients I had to avoid. I made it work. And Seeing that tube of ginger paste brought back memories.
Wow your so busy and it aint noon! I just posted my haul .. But your hauls and meals gives me ideas on what to make...thank you for your videos...
Oh look.......a new video ready for me to enjoy at lunch break! Yay for me!
Butt roast actually comes from the shoulder area, but, yes, they are actually two different cuts, just very close together on the pig. I wonder if this is all three (shoulder, butt, blade) in one roast?
Anyone else patiently waiting for tomorrows vid!!! Girllll you give me so much meal planning inspo
Your videos always bring a smile and highlight my day. Love your energy.
