How to shoot in harsh sunlight (or fix it in post!)

Shooting in the midday sun can be a challenge - but if you have cheap diffusion tools then you can create some absolutely beautiful looks on a shoe string budget.
Even if you don't quite nail it - I have a handy technique you can use in DaVinci Resolve to tweak the exposure between subject and background.
