Trish, both my parents and Aunt and Uncle are gone at this point. My Mom’s been gone about a year. I think it’s fair to say, more than almost any other person, I just love to hate you. If there were just something I could do.
    “Lyrics
You ask me if I love you
And I choke on my reply
    I'd rather hurt you, honestly
Than mislead you with a lie
And who am I to judge you
On what you say or do?
    I'm only just beginning
    To see the real you
    And sometimes when we touch
    The honesty's too much
And I have to close my eyes and hide
I wanna hold you 'til I die
'Til we both break down and cry
    I wanna hold you
'Til the fear in me subsides
    Romance and all its strategy
Leaves me battling with my pride
    But through the insecurity
    Some tenderness survives
    I'm just another writer
    Still trapped within my truth
    A hesitant prize fighter
    Still trapped within my youth
    Sometimes when we touch
    The honesty's too much
And I have to close my eyes and hide
I wanna hold you 'til I die
'Til we both break down and cry
    I wanna hold you
'Til the fear in me subsides
At times I'd like to break you
And drive you to your knees
At times I'd like to break through
    And hold you endlessly
    At times I understand you
And I know how hard you've tried
I've watched while love commands you
And I've watched love pass you by
At times I think we're drifters
    Still searching for a friend
    A brother or a sister
But then the passion flares again
    And sometimes when we touch
    The honesty's too much
And I have to close my eyes and hide
I wanna hold you 'til I die
'Til we both break down and cry
    I wanna hold you
'Til the fear in me subsides”

How can you "love yourself" if no-one else does? I've been rejected by women all my life. I'm now 75. Rejection saps confidence, induces resentment, jealousy, bitterness, low self esteem - and loneliness. Rejection affects every aspect of one's life including working life - as it did in my case. I feel worthless. For me it's been the worst thing in my life - and I've had cancer! "Self Love" ? For me - it's just Nonsense ! Other people make you what you are !

Does being on screens in general produce screen brain, or does it depend on what you’re doing on the screens?

Well, when you do this, your body will say: ahh nah, you're not, stop it.
To get past this analytical mind, you need to reach a state. That's pretty much possible only during meditation in the morning/at nights. That's when you can reprogram yourself, and tell yourself you're awesome. Otherwise whenever you do this in the mirror, you hear the voice in your head. For example: I'm the best! (There comes the voice): Are you?

What role does trauma play in porn addiction? Some people see certain traumas as the root cause of a porn and/or masturbation addiction. Practical tools of quitting this addiction are good and helpful but I wonder whether treating the root problem (trauma) has an important role to play as well. Can conclude that if there’s an addiction there also must be a trauma that triggered that addiction? Does a porn addiction always mask unhealed emotional wounds? What are your thoughts? Thank you, Dr. Leigh!
