I just go with the straight X-02 with the Onyx paint job, as an aesthetic touch, and Devil's Inferno with tesla parts. At Level 41 I make a jetpack, and the look is complete. I honestly don't care about a teeny tiny amount of armor. Gimme the cool pointy look of the X-02, instead of a mish-mashed look. In my opinion, the Hellfire set looks like what I envision what Eric Cartman in Power Armor would look like. :)
The last time I played vanilla FO4 was in 2016. This week I picked it back up since I bought a new GPU, figured I'd try it out without mods since the update broke many anyway. Right after the prologue mission I got a quest to "Kill Pyro", no info, nobody that gave it to me, it was just there. Figured it was some radiant side quest and waited until I was level 12 to go and find him. The fight was surprisingly easy and I had no idea what the Hellfire Power Armour was, the only set I had come across so far is the scripted one, so I couldn't really compare either. On the way back to Diamond City (I play without fast travel) I randomly got ambushed by The Enclave, which I didn't even know were in the game. The fight was a bitch at this level, but by using a building with rooftop access I could jumo off off I managed to beat them. Thats how I got a full Hellfire set before even finding a 2nd frame.
@@aaronlaughlin2389 Definitely. Because of that armor I ended up with the Tesla Cannon at level 15 and by then nothing was a challenge anymore. Whenever a fight was going the wrong direction and the Deliverer and Overseers Guardian weren't enough, I'd just spam the Tesla Cannon and all problems would be solved.
Great vid. I always looked at the health of a torso and an exremity armor piece to see which set was the best one therefore I always thought the best set out there was the X-02 Mk VI. And btw much respect to all you guys able to make videos on RUclips I jst tried it and it's HARD.
I have both and had no idea they were added in. I'm rocking the Tesla set with the Tesla gun for trash mobs and Rightous Authority for stronger enemies.
I play on the Very Hard setting and even on that setting I don’t use the armor with the highest armor rating because between my regular armor and power armor, I never seem to get killed or anywhere close to it in battles. Even if I’m just standing still. So I pick the armor that can upgrade to carry the most stuff, and for me that is the X-02. For when it is fully upgraded with calibrated shocks, motion assist servos and painted for strength it can carry 632 pounds without a companion and 532 with a companion. If anyone can beat that carry weight please let me know! :-)
Yea i managed to get 580 kg carry weight, by using unyeilding armour +3 for all stats when at 20% hp, and rads armor (more strengh when u have rads). So in total i have 20+ strength, at the cost of having 75% rads at all time. If you get nerd rage this build is really fun, cos u slow time basically all the time
@@BigPloopy Oh wow really? 580 with a companion or without? Cause if that is with a companion then you’d be able to carry 680 without and that is crazy awesome. But I always have a companion.. I roll around with my Robot you can make form the Automaton DLC and with all the right legs they can carry another 400 pounds for you so taking a hundred pounds away from me because I have a companion is WAY better than without. BEcause you can just drop all your stuff into the robot’s inventory and can almost carry twice as much. Thats how I basically never needed to farm for caps because I would just sell all the BS I found while out in the world. Never needed caps for anything I bought. Even the legendary armor or weapons that costs tens of thousands of caps lol.. But ima try that setup you have.. See If I can squeeze some more poundage out of my character! Thanks for the suggestion parter!
@@BigPloopy you said it brother! I’m doing my third play through now after I got all the DLCs I had no idea they had lol. I did like everyone else and started playing it again after I watched the news series that came out on Amazon prime. 😁
Way Damage reduction works in both Fallout 4 and 76 is Dmg incoming is reduced based on DR. Remember back in day was worked out a 300 dmg shot in T45 would take 67dmg based on X01 would take 64dmg, due to severe dimining returns after about 300DR/ER is achieved. So in these armor cases with 2000+ DR would go with more health than DR/ER. Either way you got a new sub.
To be honest armor value at that level so high it makes no difference in gameplay, you likely kill yourself or you don’t, not enough difference to be noticeable
T60 and Overboss look the best imo. The X-01 and 02 look dumb and clunky. If I didn’t play in 3rd person it wouldn’t matter I’d be more focused on stats. But I wanna look pretty dang it! 😅
X-02 for me, Hellfire for my companion, T-51 for the Sentinel Power Armor. All in Minutemen paint, but Brotherhood, Enclave, and Atom Cats are fun too.
Here's my perspective: X-02 has the same armor ratings as X-01, but has more durability and can be equiped with the tesla coil attachments that deals energy damage around it by around a meter. But the damage it's really low, being useful in encountering hordes of ghouls, small and medium sized animals. There's also the devil's coil mod that comes with an aditional 5% movement and AP regeneration from damage. The Helfire power armor has 60 energy resistance more than X-01/X-02, but also the durability of the T-60. In terms of upgrades or special attachments, the Hellfire offers nothing in particular. Both can be easily aquired in quests like "Pyro" or "Speak of the devil", no matter what level you are. In conclusion: Hellfire beats X-02 only in terms of armor rating by a small fraction of energy resistance. But X-02 compensates with a higher durability and a few more customization options, making it more versatile. From what I heard and read about the lore, it sugests that the X-02 was a more exclusive Enclave power armor, meant for their commandos. Meanwhile, the Hellfire was pretty much the latest enclave power armor that was meant for the more common enclave troops. And due to resources shortages the enclave sacrificed some of its durability in order to make it viable for mass production. Also, the fact that this power had been named 'Hellfire' and is more effective against energy damage might sugests that it was meant for troops armed with more volatile energy weapons, like the incinerator, that could put the users themselves in danger. So I guess the score is 2-1 for X-02. I hoped that there could've been more specific upgrades for both armors, especially for the Hellfire since it has nothing in particular to stand out, except for that energy resistance. They could've atleast gave it more ER or more energy based weapons with large AOE that could easily harm you.
The Hellfire armor has been my favorite suit since Fallout 3's DLCs. While there's a truly negligible difference bewtween their HP, it's that Black Devil mod you want. I don't like the idea of mixing up the power armors, I'm a collector and not really into it, but that mod is most definitely worth it just for the torso.
@@FastTipsGaming think you mean the dev of the creation? I could possibly fix it myself using blender but I need to know how to extract the file meshes of the hellfire power armor. Dunno how nobody can notice it but only myself.
