- Clip from the soap opera 'The Bold and the Beautiful'. In 1990, as Caroline's leukemia storyline neared its end, Brooke told Ridge of Caroline's disease. Taylor was also at hand to further inform Ridge of his wife's condition. This was also Ridge and Taylor's first meeting. So, sit back, and let Dr. Taylor Hayes take you on a walk down memory lane in this installment of my 'Taylor Hayes' clip series.

Ridge's reaction is heartbreaking. I feel so sorry for him. I hate the character he's become - but during his short marriage to Caroline, he was wonderful.

This soap opera is the screwiest, weird, twisted story line. They ran out of plot lines, they ended up sleeping with each other. It started well, as the years passed the writers were running out of good stories.

I dont think she was ever an oncologist, she was a therapist working with cancer patients who are dying.

She's thinner, as you get older you have less collagen. I think overall Kelly has aged very well and is still very pretty; has probably had minimal things done compared with Hunter who well let's just say went a bit too far and it shows. She was pretty here but compared to now it's scary.
Minimal compared to Hunter, but Katherine had work done around her eyes and now they look squinty and weird. If I had met her post-surgery, it wouldn't bother me so much too look at her, but I know what KKL used to look like and it's noticeable and off.

It was very unfortunate because Caroline was so loved from many, me included. Then seeing the protests from the audience for this ending for Caroline, Bill Bell try to convince Joanna to come back and he succeded in the end. Karen was then created.

Brooke might have looked sincere, but she was a golddigger from the start so it wasn't too hard for her to break the news to Ridge and replace Caroline in his life, cause that was her golden ticket out of the Valley. I'm sure she was couting the minutes to when she could give him a shoulder to cry on and start bonding with him. I was blindsighted at first thinking Brooke was a sweet woman, but knowing her and everything she did over the years, everything I just said is exactly in her character.

This makes me cry I'd seen it elsewhere but watching it again you just feel Ridge's heart break and Ronn just portrayed it so excellent here of a man on the edge of losing his love. Thanks heniroos for posting this clip and to carolineal for making me aware of it.

The worst part is that none of it had to happen. This storyline would of been perfect if Val and Dr. Taylor Hayes told Ridge that Caroline is dying, because Caroline and Brooke was NEVER best friends, but perfect strangers!

I think we should understand that Ronn Moss was more of a singer than an actor. He only had one acting gig before he was offered the role of Ridge Forrester. He was the bassist/singer for the band "Player" before that. I'm sure there was a lot of better actors they could have chosen, but his amazingly handsome appearance made him the perfect choice to play Ridge. I agree with their choice.

Now, an oncologist might want to have some sort of background in psychiatry don't you think?? It's actually quite a good combination to have.. Like say if an English teacher also teaches French or German or Spanish... Doubling up on your educations as a doctor is a good thing, especially when dealing with patients who are terminally ill...
Actually it's still rather common with the overburdened system that oncologists have psychological training to help deal with end of life issues, geriatric medicine specialists as well.

BT why are they living in these big mansions we always see in opening shots and never leave two rooms like a living room or in best case a sleeping room! Never ever do they go to the pool outside or kitchen or any other rooms! Very claustrophobic show!
