Something that strikes me in this clip is how Eric was unable to stand by his wife even at the beginning of this tale. Stephanie ended up paying for Erics " mistakes" for 20 plus years. That is something I hate in this show. The men aslways get´s off, but the women ends up paying for all eternity. Yeah, Eric wasn't really committed to Stephanie in those years. Stephanie warned him about Margo and when he realized she was right he never admitted to her that her analysis was spot on. He didn't admit who he was having an affair with (Beth) and came slinking home after she and Stephen went to Paris. Eric was only with Stephanie (at that point) because he had no other offers.
Actually I need to correct my post after watching some old videos from '88. Eric cooled his relationship with Beth to be there for his family and Angela. Because of that Beth ultimately decided to head to Paris with Stephen. However, Eric made it clear to Stephanie that he was not ready to rekindle their relationship.

I appreciate susan flannery for not chasing the young look forever like, well, every othe female actor. She got fat, her hair had gone white and she had to cut it short - just like most women in their 70s. Stephanie is one of the most realistic characters on soaps
I think the point was that aging and health challenges are real and people don’t always look “young” and thin as they age. Stephanie did look very realistic. Interestingly she was the most polished of the characters in the beginning. We never saw her hair pulled back in a pony tail and she almost always had heels on even when she went to the hospital after Ridge was shot (heels and sweats, what a combo!) She always had jewelry and makeup. So I appreciate that the show didn’t cover up her aging.

and this is the moment brooke warned her.... shed make her pay... boy did she! these two were my favorites.. only actress id put in their league is the great Lucinda Walsh from ATWT :)
stephanie should've left brooke alone from the jump. she'd have stayed with ridge, had babies and settled down with him (like she did eventually in the end), but instead, brooke slept with all the forrester men and had babies with eric. accepting brooke in the beginning would've prevented a lot of heartache for steph.
@@darcellbenjamin that was the point, Stephanie did not orchestrate this. You see in fact she had asumed Ridge chose Brooke. She in this stage did not interfere at all. In fact she also did not would like Ridge to marry Caroline because she thought it would have a bad effect on Thorne. Even if there was no Stephanie Ridge would have dumped her. He only went after her because Caroline was unavailable anyway.
Eric only favor Brooke, because Brooke's mother is his mistress daughter and he wants Ridge to be like him and Throne lust and always in the middle of scandals; Ridge was born into good morals, because his parents are Stephanie and Mosimo Marone and Eric always hated Mosimo Marone, because he's a man with upstanding morals, values and a close friend to Stephanie father (Millionaire John Douglas) and it's the Bold and the Beautiful place to complete this storyline, because Stephanie said if Brooke marry Ridge she will tell Ridge how Brooke's mother pursued his father and she was his mistress for 1yr during the course of my marriage and Brooke knew all about it and you rewarded Brooke by giving her keys to my home to sleep with you and Brooke told me in my face not to ever tell you how she knew and encouraged her mother and your father's affairs.
I read these comments and it is ridiculous sometimes. I have watched a lot of these early episodes very recently. Stephanie did not know Beth, she had a vague idea that Eric had been involved with someone at college but when she started to go out with Eric he did not mention the other girl again. She was a teenage girl who obviously fell for Eric. I dont agree with some of Stephanie's manipulations but most of them were to try and keep her family together. Please rewatch some of the episodes. I know if my mother was having an affair with a married man there is no way I would be a party to that.
You have to say that the Stephanie and Brooke arguments were some of the best in bb history , especially in the early days of the show, hell Stephanie went after her so hard she made Brooke into a sympathetic figure ,that's why I think Brooke is still surviving...lol
I think Stephanie hated brooke because she's Beth's daughter she's afraid Brooke will entitle to the forester company and everything bt she wanted all for rich she knows that rich is nt Eric's son
That was a bad storyline and no need for it. It destroyed the family origins that the show is based on. Why they even brought Massimo on is anyone's guess.
According to an earlier episode I saw in '87, Eric complains that Stephanie trapped him into marriage via Ridge. Thus stealing Eric away from Beth who he was with during their time in college. BUT the truth is Stephanie was impregnated by Massimo!!! Stephanie was ruthless and Brooke was always right to stand up to her.
O My God, Yes! i remember this.... Thank tou for recollecting my memories. Taylor and Stephanie's fans are hypocrites... Brooke deserves the whole of Forrester Creations
Eric was dating Beth, 1st. Then Stephanie was pregnant after sleeping with Massimo and Eric. Meanwhile Ridge slept Thorne's wife, Caroline, Eric's wife, Brooke. 10 yrs later he slept with his half brother's wife, Brooke. 10 yrs later he was making out with Caroline, who was his step son's wife, Rick. Then 3 yrs later he is making out with his stepfather's wife, Quinn. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THE TRUE HOER OF BEING HILLS IS RIDGE FORRESTER (Marone).
And I love to remind you how Taylor and Brooke still differ. Brooke always went for occupied men, did purposely break up marriages, did if she had earned a right to a specific Forrester man and do not forget that Brooke was like this since day 1 and kept getting worse. Until Taylor's second comeback she never had another Forrester man besides Ridge not even Thorne in 1998 although they pretended it. And again the Forrester men she got were available at that moment. Brooke harmed people and never cared, when Taylor slept with the men nobody was really affected in such manner. This is the bottom line difference between Brooke and Taylor. No need to thank me for reminding you, I shall do that as long as I live.
@@Donderdrammels Taylor slept with men and nobody was really affected? LMAO she slept with Rick who was Brooke's son. Rick was dating her daughter Phoebe. When Phoebe found out about her mom's affair with her boyfriend (her enemy's son) she was tragically killed in a car accident. So don't try to paint Taylor as a saint because she's not. Had she stayed away from Rick Phoebe would still be alive.
@@JameseGray1991 it is not about sleeping with men, that has never been my point. It is about sleeping with men who are involved and doing that over and over again at the expense of other people. Like her own daughters. There is also a difference between dating at the same time and actively pursuing married and settled men.
Stephanie was pretty cruel to Brooke in this scene. We'll never know if this scene or the scene just before Caroline and Ridge's wedding motivated Brooke to seek revenge through Eric or if she would have done it anyway. The funny thing is Stephanie didn't seem worried that with nothing to lose Brooke would tell Eric the truth about Steph manipulating Stephen and Beth to Paris.
HunterWrangler Stephanie had no right to treat Brooke this way. She insulted both Brooke and her mother as if Brooke was responsible for Beth's affair with Eric. She even had the nerve to say that they had no respect for fidelity. Stephanie seemed to have forgotten she slept with Massimo and passed his child off as Eric's.
Pretty cruel? Brooke wanted Eric to end up with Beth and put Stephanie in the cold. According to you Stephanie should have accepted that just calmly? Furthermore Brooke schemed with Thorne to keep Ridge and Caroline apart and Stephanie knew this. In Brookes ideal world we would have Eric and Beth, Brooke and Rigde and an unhappily Thorna and Caroline and no Stephanie. Imagine somebody would interfere in a family you raised and kept together for over 25 years. That gives her reason enough to at least dislike Brooke. And sure Stephanie became pregnant when Eric was with Beth. Read that good: Eric was with Beth, not Stephanie was with Beth. He betrayed her by sleeping with another woman, he was the one unfaitfull. The last point: if Eric had indeed stayed with Beth: Brooke herself would not even have existed. Each time she blames Stephanie for luring Eric away, she is wishing to delete her own existence.
Donderdrammels what I mean is, she could have just let Brooke leave. Stephanie was leaving after realizing Brooke was headed out, but then came back in to stick the knife in. I love Stephanie and I know why she hated Brooke. Fully understandable. But I can still point out when she acted cruelly. :-)
Didn’t they use hairsprays and rollers to achieve the volume in their hairs? That was like so fashionable during the end 70’s - 80’s but yeah hair does naturally thin due to aging and going into menopause
@@bibtii9691 I think her hair was naturally fine, not from aging or menopause. You can tell in this clip and she was in her 40s then; and in photos from when she was much younger you can tell she had fine hair.
Flawless, regal, beyond gorgeous. It would be great to see more of these old episodes with Stephanie. As far as morality goes, I always thought Stephanie believed Ridge was Eric's son until DNA proved otherwise. Stephanie will fight for what she loves, but it's not the same thing as letting her marriage be built on a lie, which I can't believe she would do. It just doesn't track with the character to me. She's controlling, yes, out of fear, which goes back to her monster parents, and given them, makes sense. For Beth Logan to seduce Eric is the same thing; her daughters got it from her. Take what you want, steal it through seduction, sex, and manipulation, and for money, social status, and all that goes with it. But for Stephanie Forester to let her marriage be a lie purposely, for years, doesn't make sense to me. There has to be more to the story. Off-topic, I don't get the attraction to Masimo, either. He's a ruthless, crude, evil pig who's seen better days. Even when he was young, I'd bet he was a snake! Why would she even want to lower herself...? Weird unlikely storyline. Maybe Brad wrote it. 🤪
You evidently didn't see the very first original episodes. Beth Logan was was a woman of integrity and morals. She never had a sexual relationship with Eric even when she was going through the process of having her husband declared dead and was starting to make plans with Eric to be together as he was separated from Stephanie. Those were the only times they would meet for dinner or in a public place to talk and reminisce and she allowed herself to even think they might have a future together. Before then she looked at Eric as an old friend that she loved. She wouldn't even allow herself to think about him in that way. Brooke was raised in a good home. She came from a good family. She was just an innocent college kid until she met Ridge. Even though in the beginning, she made some poor choices she never was evil or devious, that's just not Brooke's character.
You are contradicting yourself. She did not better, he did better. He gave her that house, dependently as she always is she let him take care of it. Probably also he bought if for only her because Brooke was fond of material matter, his love for Caroline and Taylor was beyond stuff like that.
i thought it mean packing as in heat, i watched all this and why o why! i was 4 in 89 then i read some comments from such devoted fans youtube has changed us all a lil wondering why this is connected to yu yu hakusho music
Eric has always been a pig and hypocrite. He has cheated on almost every wife and he's doing it again, sleeping with Donna after everything he put Quinn through. He's too old to be playing these games but he always played games. I just can't imagine why everyone thinks he's this honorable and stand up guy. He's a decent person and he deserves to be alone.
Watching this scene, I think it is so funny. Stephanie had the last laugh?? Only after Brooke had her husband's baby, Ridge's hand in marriage, and Eric and Ridge's other child. Stephanie shows her cruelty in this scene. Reminds me why I never like the Wicked Witch from the West.
Statefarmfan21 it never occurred to Stephanie that Brooke would become involved with Eric (though she has a short memory - she momentarily believed something was going on between Eric and Brooke in late summer '87). She believed that Brooke and Ridge were over and Brooke would fall out of their lives. In a normal reality that's exactly what would have happened! But in soap opera reality, we knew better. How many times did Brooke vow revenge on Stephanie? I can think of at least three times between '88 and '90
+DcD Stephanie didn't TAKE Eric from Beth, he CHOSE to be with Stephanie. You can't TAKE someone away if they are not WILLING to go. Brooke and Sheila can go to Hell.
FutureGirl2033 so if Stephanie didn't take Eric from Beth that opens up a whole new world. this means Brooke didn't take Eric from Stephanie. Brooke didn't take Ridge from Taylor. Thank you, I need to post this on every page calling Brooke a whore.
FutureGirl2033 but you just said you can't steal something from someone. and why don't anyone call the Forrester men whoers? Ridge has slept with his father's wife. Ridge slept with Thorne's 1st wife, Caroline. Ridge slept with his half brother's wife, Brooke when she was married to Nick. Then less then 2 yrs ago Ridge seduced his step brother, Rick's wife Caroline. Now granted, Ridge didn't phuck her but still. but who do B&B fans hate: Brooke. so before you call characters name be sure to add Ridge name as head whore.
You all are forgetting Ridge Forrester is not Eric son Massimo was the joke was on Eric who was in love with Beth and only married Stephanie cause she was pregnant with another mans baby
"You stole my son " What :D :OCringe... Stephanie proberly always want Ridge all by her self. Taylor and Caroline were totally Stephanies dummies, she know how manipulate them but Brooke was wildhorse . Maybe Ridge should marry Stephanie, maybe she want that :D Just like Jackie and Taylor hinted. But Stephanie never get rid of Brooke. Maybe Stephanie never even wanted full control because Brooke make Stephanies life interesting and also if she would get full control on Ridge what would happened between Stephanie and Ridge .
Wrong! Taylor and Caroline were never Stephanie's dummys at all! She just liked them better and treated her like daughters, since they were NEVER as cheap, desperate and manipulative as Brooke! As simple as that really!🙄🤷
Eric treated Stephanie like crap.

and this is the moment brooke warned her.... shed make her pay... boy did she! these two were my favorites.. only actress id put in their league is the great Lucinda Walsh from ATWT :)
And the great Beverley McKinsey as Iris Carrington and Alexandra Spaulding
stephanie should've left brooke alone from the jump. she'd have stayed with ridge, had babies and settled down with him (like she did eventually in the end), but instead, brooke slept with all the forrester men and had babies with eric. accepting brooke in the beginning would've prevented a lot of heartache for steph.
Femi Beauty Ridge loved Caroline not Brooke
I agree with Femi Beauty. The more you resist something/someone the more the thing you're resisting will occur!
Steffy acts just like her grandmother 😐
"Your Son Loves Her & That's Her Only Fault." - Eric telling the truth & everybody said that stephanie's relationship with Ridge was unhealthy.
The men like Eric, Ridge & Victor Newmen been with more women than Brook been with men. But yet brook let's put down by Stephanie
I was wondering if you happen to have anymore clips of Ridge and Caroline when he asked her to marry him.
I'm going to make you pay....I swear it. And then she gets pregnant by & marries stephanie's ex husband.
Does anyone have a floor plan of the upstairs of the Forrester house?
And after all this caper it turned out Eric wasn't even Ridge's Father, it was Massimo! :o
That was a bad storyline and no need for it. It destroyed the family origins that the show is based on. Why they even brought Massimo on is anyone's guess.
@@awm8221 - yeah that was dreadful. I consider it non-canon. B&B from 2003 on is just fan-fiction.
Susan Flannery ❤ such a Great Actress
I love Stephanie’s Coat
Stephanie failed to realize the big date for Brooke is with her soon to be ex-husband Eric. She should have never goaded Brooke like this.
IF ONLY STEPHANIE KNEW THAT BROOKE IS NOT LIKE HER MOTHER BETH FYI BROOKE WILL NOT JUST GO AWAY LOL😂
Beth slept with Eric...Brooke slept with Ridge....Like Mother, Like Daughter!!!
Actually Beth and Eric were together before Stefanie
Brooke made her pay alright!
I hate Brooke she slept with and married eveything in pants.
HunterWrangler Exactly. Probably , although immoral, out of revenge for Stephanie, Brooke married Eric
the story was different
And in the end, Brooke outlasted & outlived stephanie.
No fair Stephanie retired. Brooke should retire too
@@juliapalomo5139 No she shouldn't.
I think her hair was fine and thinning, so keeping it low, when you want to look like you have a full head of thick hair, is the only option.
rachybaby72 you can really tell Susan’s hair thinned out during 1989. Comparing it to 1987, it really looked thin.
Didn’t they use hairsprays and rollers to achieve the volume in their hairs? That was like so fashionable during the end 70’s - 80’s
but yeah hair does naturally thin due to aging and going into menopause
@@bibtii9691 I think her hair was naturally fine, not from aging or menopause. You can tell in this clip and she was in her 40s then; and in photos from when she was much younger you can tell she had fine hair.
@@HunterWrangler Yes, it had thinned out during that time. It didn't help that she also had fine hair.
And Susan wore the wig in 2003-2005 to hide her thinning hair before the crew cut appeared
Stephanie spoke too soon... Unfortunately. She greatly underestimated Brooke's lack of morality.
Queen Stephanie knew best, especially when it came to Brooke.
😂😂 she thought she fooled Stephanie
Is it after this row with Stephanie that Brooke made a play for Eric?
Eric was so hot.
Brooke looked like Hope so much.
Stephanie always was an evil witch.
You should have known it was going to be ridge and Brooke always going to be ridge and Brook Stephanie likes it or not
And Brooke would never move back to the Forrester home again after this.
You are contradicting yourself. She did not better, he did better. He gave her that house, dependently as she always is she let him take care of it. Probably also he bought if for only her because Brooke was fond of material matter, his love for Caroline and Taylor was beyond stuff like that.
@nadine müller you are entitled to that opinion of course
This entire family is just creepy! I’d RUN!
i thought it mean packing as in heat, i watched all this and why o why! i was 4 in 89
then i read some comments from such devoted fans
youtube has changed us all a lil
wondering why this is connected to yu yu hakusho music
YT transcription is so bad, what was the point of yt adding it? "When is the big date Brooke?" = 3:30
Poor Brooke is in so much pain yet Stephanie keeps at her.
Stephanie just had to keep twisting the knife, that’s why Brooke always won 😁
Eric has always followed his anatomy. To this day he's still a liability. Please stop writing him like that
Eric has always been a pig and hypocrite.
I stopped watching this show about ten years ago and I don't miss it, at all! I hope it gets cancelled soon!!
Eric always been a fool for Brooke! OMG just gullible! Thats why she entitled now!
Is it just me or did anyone else notice the blooper. "When is the big date" ...pause.... "Brooke"
So does that make Brooke Stephanie’s step daughter??
You all are forgetting Ridge Forrester is not Eric son Massimo was the joke was on Eric who was in love with Beth and only married Stephanie cause she was pregnant with another mans baby
"You stole my son " What :D :OCringe... Stephanie proberly always want Ridge all by her self. Taylor and Caroline were totally Stephanies dummies, she know how manipulate them but Brooke was wildhorse . Maybe Ridge should marry Stephanie, maybe she want that :D Just like Jackie and Taylor hinted. But Stephanie never get rid of Brooke. Maybe Stephanie never even wanted full control because Brooke make Stephanies life interesting and also if she would get full control on Ridge what would happened between Stephanie and Ridge .
brooke make the same with rick she is a mother ,and stefanie is a mother ,all mother protect your son from a bitch
Actually Stephanie's dying words to Brooke was basically saying their fued is what kept her alive... that's when I started crying
Wrong! Taylor and Caroline were never Stephanie's dummys at all! She just liked them better and treated her like daughters, since they were NEVER as cheap, desperate and manipulative as Brooke! As simple as that really!🙄🤷
when did Brooke and Ridge first met? in which episode?
It was in 1st Season when her Mother Beth catered for the Forresters Brooke help her.
Brooke was a cancer on that family
Stephanie was so cruel. No wonder Brooke ended up stealing her husband and eventually her sons.
Stephanie the hypocrite
Es australiana esta serie. Creí que era de eeuu.
❤😊😮💛😺💖
And she did make Stephanie pay for this , stoling Eric , getting child Ridge but it was Eric child , Thorne and the list keep continu lol
30 years later...she's Mrs. Ridge Forrester!
Sharon Joi absolutely. Now, with everything that is going on now, let’s just hope that it stays that way.
Brooke did pay Stephanie back. She called it revenge. The legal name was eric Forrester jr.!
That was a promise Brooke execute as the best. Stephanie always think that she has won from Brooke, but Brooke always come back stronger.
Ginoto We used to burn our food while cooking just to watch this series

absolutly, that is why I love Brooke. Her lack of morality is like a mirror to Stephanie.
Brooke was a cancer on that family
