So many patients end up with teeth that will fail long term due to the design of the all on 4 implant bridge. Dental implants need daily cleaning and hygiene attention but because doctors get work back from technicians that don't have the proper education, patients leave with dental implant bridges that will have problems and ultimately fail.

You can get the bad teeth pulled. Google low income dental care the town you live in. There should be clinics near you to call. The cost of treatment is based on your income. That’s how mine are getting pulled. My husband is sick. So we don’t have much money. I had $100 from babysitting. So I ordered top and bottom set of veneers. Extra fitting beads. I hope to have temporary denture made. I won’t be able to eat with it but. I can wear it so I can smile and not be embarrassed. You are so young honey the implants will happen someday. But enjoying your life now needs to the most important thing.
Holy Merde! This is exactly what I needed to see. Long story-short, I have been in the implant process since early 2020. Yes! It seems like a long time. COVID screwed me up. I had it a few times and I was not a fan of spreading it. So, I postponed my appointments. I also had a bad implant that abscessed and needed to be removed and re-implanted with all the bone chips and associated wait times- 6 months. So, here I am ready for my final teeth after living with the temporaries for over 3 years. They are not designed to last that long. So, I have had numerous trips back to the Dentist to repair broken temporaries. We took the impressions last week and I am so excited to get the final teeth. Glad to know that I should ask the Dentist to see my new devices before he installs them and look for depressions between the implants, protruding gum material and implant fixtures below the surface of the fixture. This hygiene issue is so important to me because I know it’s going to be a challenge regardless of how perfect the devices are.
I have a general question about preventing all on four surgery failure and doing whatever is possible to ensure success.
Is it better for the surgeon and lab team to design, build and implant/install both arches at once? I mean to ask, if it’s possible to hold on to a natural lower arch minus a few single implants should a patient do so?
(ignoring cost for sake of the question)
Is it “easier” for the team to really nail the surgery, bite, device design if the patients whole mouth is pretty much wiped out…”blank canvas”/“scorched earth”/ “complete tare down” “nuclear option” “stripped bare” 💥?
Hello Joe, It is nice to start out fresh. Both arches at the same time. That being said, having the zirconium bridge on top, and natural teeth on the bottom, you will have a higher possibility of wearing down the natural teeth quicker. Especially if you are a grinder. Due to the zirconia being so strong. For those who aren't able to go with the full treatment for upper and lower you can opt to choose the treatment in stages. Thanks for your questions!

Lets have a look at the models and surgery before we start commenting on labwork. A lot of stuff labs are forced to do is because of inadequate clearance due to poor positioning and planning.

Are these zygomatic implants ? Are all on 4 always zygomatic ?
I have a horrid nightmare happening now. I have never in my life wanted to just never wake up. I am there at this point. I am in pain, I don’t recognize my own face in the mirror anymore. I am no longer employable . This surgery has ended my life as I knew it. I am now trying to figure out how I come up with $70,000 for facial reconstructive surgery now. That is literally the quote I have to rebuild my jaw bone and get facial structure back. Doctors can not be sued for any of this. When something goes wrong the patient is always going to be financially responsible for the correction no matter who was at fault. PLEASE NEVER GET THIS SURGERY
I am sorry for your experience, no, zygomatic implants are only used when the patient has very little bone on upper jaw. Thanks for watching!
This is the type that someone like myself would need. Because I lost my teeth due to advanced tooth decay. With infection in the bone. Along with gum disease. Since my husband is disabled. I decided to go with removable dentures. Because they fit my budget. I feel so bad for her. Why would anyone do implants when you don’t have enough bone ?? You should be honest and do what is right. For your patient tell them. They are not candidate for implants. Recommend getting high quality nice denture made. This poor person should never have been put through this. It was entirely avoidable. Now more surgery for something that wasn’t their fault.

My all on 6 all on 5 are the most beautiful teeth ever.. they were done by a professional implant surgeon.. not in one day, week or month but a year. I wore temps for 6 months, they look beautiful and it cost me less than 9000€! Sofia implant centre. I have no bulky pink gums or resin, they are tight to my own gums. I cannot believe these teeth are mine !!! wish i could show you all. ❤ if i can do it, you can.

Damn those are some hideous looking restorations.... What kind of lab would ever want to associate themselves with that work? Also, the last example is the surgeon's fault for not putting the implant post subgingivally enough. There's nothing that can be done about that... It was a failure from the start. Also, the first example wouldn't be a problem to floss because tissue goes into the concavity and the floss glides up against it. It would only be an issue if the concavity created a void between the tissue. And a water pick will definitely get whatever is in there even if there was a void. I've made hundreds of these in my career thus far. None were ever as ugly as either of the 3, however. Cheers!

I have all on 4 and my gums still receded after two years to the point where the device is uncomfortable and the gaps are to big. And I can’t tolerate all the airflow and gushing. I’m starting all over with a new mold now 😞
