Good day Mr Jay and Miss Vicki Amazing video and awesome information about history and words. Happy Independence day to all Americans God bless the United States 🙏🏻❤️🇺🇲
Hi Swed. Great to hear from you. Here's the difference between historic and historical. While both are adjectives, they have very different meanings. If we had produced an historic video, it would have been important in history; likely to be thought of as important at some time in the future. But this video is historical - it explains history or is connected with events in the past. So while some future historian may look back on our videos and say this was so good and so important it is historic, the fact that it describes history makes it historical. :-) I hope that's useful information.
I’m from Egypt. Thanks so much for this video. I loved your way in learning. Since a long time I have never enjoy a learning video like that. And also you pronounce the vocabulary in a clear way so I can easily understand. Really I love it many thanks from Egypt 🌸🙏🏻
Where I live in South Jersey I get to see lots of the entertainment you spoke of from Philly on TV. One of my favorite memories is going out to the bays around me and watching the fireworks that some of the casinos in Atlantic City would put on.
Yes, Pamma. It's kind of sad this year not to have all our regulary celebrations. But we did watch the televised New York fireworks that were held without crowds. It was pretty exciting.
Because some English words and idioms are closely connected with UK or US history, learning them is very helpful for English learners. I love this video!
You are a great couple. I love all your videos.🤩Thank you for the English lessons.❤Can you make more pronunciation and grammar videos? It helps me a lot...😀 Thank you Vicki and Jay!

@@SimpleEnglishVideos I will! Be safe you too! God bless you!🙏 One more thing Vicki and Jay, I don't know if you've ever made a video about that, but there's a topic in English I've ever found a little tricky, since I started studying the language: the order of the adjectives. For example, when you want to describe something and you put a lot of adjectives one next to each other in a sentence, what's exactly the order I should put them? It'll be awesome and very worthwhile for me and a lot of your youtube viewers if you make a video about that. Thank you so much! 😘
Amazing video, thank you. In Russia we have the 12th of June, it's "Day of Russia", when our country had become separated from the Soviet Union. But it's not commonly celebrated. But we have another day with parades and fireworks, it's the 9th of May - Victory Day, when the Soviet Union won the Great Patriotic Ear in 1945. We have a parade of millions of people going with pictures of their family members who died in a war. And it all happened online this year
Yes, those of us who are concerned about COVID-19 are celebrating on line too. But unfortunately there are too many people ignoring the warnings and COVID-19 is spreading fast in America.

You're simply fabulous. It's a pity the parade couldn't have been the usual though. But I hope everything will be OK until the next July 4th. Greetings. :)

They are very similar. I hope that clear things up for you Emy.

@@SimpleEnglishVideos I feel that we need more people teaching English like you...especially people with more experience...you have a different point of view and light our path in English language...it would be nice you plan a live to be more in contact with your audience...answer some questions...etc... I'd be one of those who would attend...congrats
This video had to be without Viki, hhhhhh because today Viki is be betrayer of UK hhhh
No Nushar, she still maintains that the American Founding Fathers committed treason :-) This is Jay writing back to you. Some years ago, we visited Williamsburg, Virginia which is atown where all the inhabitants are paid actors and living their lives in colonial Virginia from the just before the revolution. Vicki had an argument about taxes with a famous American patriot who was trying to make the case that 'taxation without representation' was a cause for revolution.
@@SimpleEnglishVideos hhhhh Thanks a lot dear Jay, I see. By the way, for the fist time I saw the Patriot film of (Mel Gibson), I truly hated the UK through this film in 2006, and later I visited UK and studied MA in the Uni of Nottingham in 2014 but they are well people now hhhh.
If the others countries knew, the monster that was being born, they would have supported the British. They weren't far-sighted 😉
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, Emil. But there are certainly many who disagree with you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and thanks for watching.
