The way luffy hugs jimbei gets me for some reason. He was there for luffy In his darkest time and finally seeing him part of the straw hats is amazing. The respect they have for each other shines through

The scene where Law and Kidd pull Luffy out of the water and throw him ahead, was one of the most symbolic things I have ever seen!

Absolutely stunning opening sequence. Crazy how the quality of the animation has suddenly skyrocketed in the past few years.
I mean it still has some flaws like there some kind of stiffness in every shonen anime that I have seen which one piece older animation style didn't have
@@bloodninja2517 yea, One Piece is now optimizing animation for specific fight sequences like Oden's retainers vs Kaido while sacrificing conversational and other types of animation. Personally, I liked the old style of One Piece animation better where they made everything just as fluent.
@@zanwithaplan whenever I re-watch old one piece it feels so natural all the conversation seem so lift they make fun of each other laugh at each other even in backgrounds which the latest one doesn't have things seems super stiff but no one rly complains since all ppl want are crazy fights personally I would say I prefer the older one as it seemed more natural the recent conversations feel scripted and takes the enjoyment out of it
Toei pulled the stick out of their ass and let webgen animators onboard. This is a very new-age production now. There have been little hints of them since marineford, but never to the degree they're in now. Also One Piece is animated by an international animation staff now. French, American, Chinese, and Japanese animators are on OP. Bahi_JD who does the first 2 shots and the run sequence at 0:49 is an Austrian animator. Henry Thurlow is from Delaware etc.
We were informed before Wano that they had started a phase of preproduction specifically for Wano. so this series has basically been rebooted.
The massive critics for the clusterfuck that was Dressrosa animation payed well

I didn’t realize how much I needed to see Luffy fly until this opening but I’m glad I did. Absolutely breathtaking.
I like when the Thousand Sunny burst out of the clouds while he was flying. Made me remember their lovely ship.
Law and Kidd sending him flying also gets me. Luffy's someone who naturally makes his rivals be his best supports.
He does in Hard Knock Days tho.

@@matrix91234 what I love about One Piece is the worldbuilding and political plot. There is a shit ton of characters, and more often than not they all have weight and development in the story. The world is dynamic and there are many parties with different alliances that drive different plots that are great stories on their own, but which come together on a grand narrative that is frankly one of the most exciting things I've ever read.
But the presentation is very cartoonish, as you might know, and that will drive some people away, to whom this aesthetic isn't appealing. Also its comedy is very divisive. Some people love it, other think it's cringey. But if you like anime and manga, especially shonen, I seriously couldn't recommend it enough. The story is superlong for a reason, you'll find it's exceptional.
I recommend reading over watching, for the anime is very dated today and might feel overstretched sometimes. But that is a personal matter. I love a lot about the anime also.

why? I am obsessed with One Piece, I litteraly spend time every day for it, yet this OP is absolutely the worst Opening I have ever seen in One Piece. I watched it after getting up and it made me want to sleep, both in terms of music and visuals as well. Plus, it absolutely spoiled Kaido's hybrid form. Myeh.
By the words of Tommy Shelby: "I can't write it down, cause they haven't invented the effing words." to describe how I feel being a One Piece fan at these times. Manga or anime it doesn't matter, it's simply beautiful.

@@josemourato8979 i stopped after the countdown for his haki vs Doffy and just kept going with the manga(pretty sure it was at dress rosa the pacing started to really hurt the anime as the manga was just a zou when the fighting started).
I remember when I read the countdown and it was like 2 pages of just "10....9....8" and different faces (as always in shonen) being in shock and counting lol.. and I said to my friend "this is gonna be 1/2 episode of faces going "😱😲😯😦" and well it was like 5 minutes.. So without the sarcasm i implied with it being 1/2 episode, it was still sooooo long to prolong the countdown as much as possible 🥲

I'm not even joking when I say that when Luffy hugs jinbei it almost made me cry. Seeing jinbei finally be part of the crew and be treat like with nothing but respect and love by the other straw hats makes me so happy!! Jinbei is the best most pure boy and always has Luffy's back when he needs him the most
luffy does owe him alot after what happened with Ace, he was the one who protected him, who saved his life yk. Jimbei does deserve a spot in the crew, and who knows maybe Yamato might join next..?

I have been watching since I was in grade 6 now it's been 7 years accompanying this great anime. When I am old and get married, I definitely tell my kids about this masterpiece

The whole opening was beautiful from beginning to end. The part that gets me the most is seeing Yamato and Ace. Yamato's struggle against her abusive and oppressive father and her fight for freedom. Ace being the flame of freedom that sparked in her heart and Luffy being the light carrying the light from that flame. One Piece is beautiful.

@@KittSpiken I think it is fine for a One Piece song in general. I think it’s perfect for showing off the light hearted interactions between the Straw Hats. But it’s an odd choice for the climax of one of most important arcs in One Piece. It doesn’t have the intensity you would expect.

@@puglife2773 Yeah a lot of One Piece openings are like that now that I think about it. Like remember when the singer of opening 12 says yay while the impel guards have that Nazi style salute? That was pretty wild. The opening that was in the thick of Impel Down and showcased Marine Ford was super happy and up beat. I guess One Piece openings don’t want to take themselves too seriously, despite the subject matter they may cover. The only really sad ones I can think are the last two before the time skip and that was extremely warranted.
I swear to god, this opening is too beautiful. The visuals, the song, the characters...The FUCKIN' PAIRINGS AT THE END!!! AAAAAAAA!!!! Also, Law and Kidd...Supporting the bro and pulling him out is the most beautifully symbolic thing I've ever seen in an anime opening.

This opening hasn’t even been out for that long and I’m already so nostalgic. I remember seeing it in my recommended and falling in love with it back before I was even halfway through one piece (I’m only now just getting to whole cake island). Even though I don’t know much about wano this op just fills me with such excitement. I have listened to this hundreds of times, I fall asleep to it often, I listen to it on the car ride home from holidays, just in my normal playlist. This song is brilliant and really special to me, and in my opinion truly encapsulates one piece as a whole. Anyone who says this is not a good one piece opening need to get their eyes checked.

@@ReiseLukas the events of Chapter 1000 and beyond deserve a Wow factor. Everything from the manga past this beyond is just a giant ever escalating battle. Nothing other than maybe Marineford deserves a WoW factor more than this section of story.

There's an edition called "One Pace". It takes away plenty of filler, so you can get up to speed within this decade
The length may seem like n issue but once you jump in your amazed at how much of it you’ e covered in like a weak. And yeah it’s amazing seeing how far the animation has come now.

It has a Full metal alchemist vibe to it you can relax to the melody and the animation! Whitebeard Roger Shanks and all the strawhats in the end! Law and Kid pulling him up... beautiful and suiting for the end of Wano.
I need to see this series end. For the last 20 plus years I grew up with the straw hats. I almost feel like a part of the crew. Maybe one day in the future I can stand up and say i want to be apart of something bigger....I feel like one piece as well as dragonball have made me the man i am today. If not for manga and anime I'd be dead or worse off than I am now. In my life i have seen heroes come and go but I will forever be a hero to the eyes of my heart as no one gave me a chance. Now I sit proudly and humbled by the comments of many all around the world. I am a straw hat!!! even if its only vicariously thru my favorite character Zoro!!! i love you guys man and hopefully Mr. Toriyama is watching from above and beyond saying " you made my work people of earth but now its time to show evil what we got!!! SPIRIT BOMB!!!"....amen
Kaido qui engloutit la lune, lune qui représente le clan Kozuki. J’aime bien les quelques symboliques cachées dans cet opening. En plus ça se finit dans les cieux, nous arrachant à l’obscurité d’onigashima, ce qui fait du bien puisque on y baigne depuis trop longtemps à mon goût. Hâte de découvrir les prochaines aventures au delà de Wano !

This man can't catch a W anywhere. Bodied in the manga, bodied in the anime, and now completely skipped in the last TWO openings. I feel pretty safe in assuming that this OP is going to carry us through the rest of Wano, or at the very least up until the end of Jack's relevance so he ain't making a come back any time soon.

I think the visuals are great but I think people were expecting a more hype song since this will probably be the last OP of Wano. Like they are teasing some stuff in this OP that's only about 20 or so chapters behind the manga. Chapter 1044 seems to be marking the start of the final part of Wano. With a pretty crazy twist and probably one of the best chapters in the whole series. The anime is about to hit chapter 1000.
I think it'd make people happy if there is a new OP to mark the change at 1044 but I think this will be playing to the end
@@TNTspaz Wano isn’t even done in the manga yet, and the anime is about a year and a half behind the manga(the hiatus is extending that too). There’s gonna be at least one more opening for Wano in 2023, they change the opening every year.

at 1:42 Robin looked like a younger character. I like how they did her fight in this arc, its at the moment my favorite fight in Wano.
