ডা. সেলিনা হায়াৎ আইভী, দক্ষিণ কোরিয়ার প্রভাবশালী সাময়িকী দ্য এশিয়ান’র চোখে এশিয়ার ক্ষমতাধর মেয়রদের মধ্যে অন্যতম। জনপ্রিয় ও ক্ষমতাধর আইভী নারায়ণগঞ্জ সিটি করপোরেশনের আসন্ন নির্বাচনে মেয়র পদে আবারও লড়ছেন।
ডাক্তার আইভী ১৯৬৬ সালের ৬ই জুন নারায়ণগঞ্জের একটি রাজনৈতিক পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। মাতা “মমতাজ বেগম” ও পিতা সাবেক পৌর চেয়ারম্যান “আলী আহাম্মদ চুনকা”।
চুনকা পরিবারের পাঁচ সন্তানের মধ্যে ডা. আইভী হলেন প্রথম সন্তান।
তিনি নারায়ণগঞ্জ সিটি কর্পোরেশনের প্রথম মেয়র এবং বাংলাদেশের প্রথম মহিলা যিনি কোনো সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মেয়র হিসাবে নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন।
Salina Hayat Ivy is a Bangladeshi politician, physician and the first and the incumbent mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation. Ivy has been given the status of Deputy Minister on 7 November 2017. She win third time as a Mayor in the 2022 of the Narayanganj city corporation election.
In 1993, Ivy was the health and environmental affairs officer of Narayanganj City Awami League. Her active political career began in 2003 by participating in the municipal chairman election. In 2003, she was elected the Chairman of Narayanganj Municipality and elected the first female chairman of Narayanganj Municipality. Presently she is the vice-president of Narayanganj City Awami League. She is the founder president of Ali Ahmad Chunka Foundation and Narayanganj Heart Foundation and she is in charge of the convening of Narayanganj district of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad.
