italians say that in Italy, vegetables and fruits are big and beautiful, but tasteless.
In Albania fruits are fresh, seafood is fresh and pizza`s in Albania, are delicious.
Prices? Cheap for an europian.
Yes, there are some amazing quality and organic fruit and vegetables in the Balkans. Really love the region.

@@StevenHeapRecipes Well, I am sure you're a pretty tough critic then. I'm on a somewhat rigid diet and so I've only eaten out a few times in different cities while in Albania. Every time has been an awesome experience !
They cook healthier too. Less salt and sugar. Cooked thoroughly but not overcooked. Better prep, more fresh.
Healthier foods in grocery stores compared to other global cities....at least one fresh fruit and veggie stand on each block. Big juicy melons, etc. Great prices.
I could tell you some stories about other cities I've eaten in....whew!
Been in Tirana few days ago, came back to Croatia. Very pleasant city and very well behaved and friendly people. Still not spoiled by capitalism. We walked around with almost motherland feeling. Nice memories from capital city. Too bad it was covid time. Gezuar!

A MUCH overrated experience,having been to west Europe before you quickly realize east Europe is very different, a feeling of gypsy permeates the senses. Leaving is a big pain as well,always need to hop across to a connecting airport to get to anywhere else besides the immediate surroundings.

There's hundreds of youtubers that have been in Albania and every single one of them have only said good things about the people. It's a one in a million to have your phone stolen, so either you have the worst luck in the world, or you are lying. Even solo female travelers say they were very safe and that's unusual in the world.
