According to the manual, the two controls are both volume controls, one for the pickup and one for the mic. I had the magpie air with the same control setup. The microphone in the magpie was very weak, unusable actually. Have you tried turning the pickup all the way down and using just the mic? The controls are not volume and blend according to the manual. I'd like to hear if the mic in the trio actually functions.
No matter which way you used this pickup, it sounds synthetic. Even at 100 percent mic it doesn't sound natural to me. I couldn't live with it. Just my preference, but I want an amplified sound that is more true to the unamplified tone. Have you tried this system with the Tonedexter? Curious if it works well with it.
I have tried it with the Tone Dexter. For a recording like this it would sound more natural but I like a little quack live as it can add presence and definition.
Ken Carr The Anthem has an additional mic gain control which I have at maximum so there is definitely more mic there. It would be great if Misi can allow the mic level to be increased.
Aaron Short Music If I’m reading the mi-si manual correctly, both of the wheels are volume wheels, so you could turn down the pickup volume and that would make the mic louder in comparison to the pickup, and increase your channel volume to make up for turning down the pickup - that would give you a more mic heavy blend Great videos thanks for the reviews
Really interesting video. Well explained again.

I believe they changed the design at some point..
Nice pickup but I don't think it would be for me great video dude

It does work well if you disable the mic and only use the undersaddle. Did you feel the same about the Anthem demos that I made? I’m just curious...

@@aaronshortmusic I watched one video you made with the Anthem. It sounds pretty good to me on the 100 percent mic setting. Much better than the Misi.

Did you ever try the Mi-Si Magpie Air?
Hi Morgan. I just received one this week. Review coming soon!
Does it works with wireless?
I am not sure. I would ask MiSi.
@@aaronshortmusic ok, thanks
