Just bought a town home in the city of Washington just off exit 13. Love watching your videos about all the growth in the area. I love the St George and Hurricane area.

The one he announced is Costco. Manager told us it's not if it's when they get another location here about 3 months ago. Also Sprouts is supposedly the LOI in the River Crossing development. Dont know about Winco but that'd be nice.
Genuinely wild to see how this southern end is changing. I built a house on rimrunner drive in 2017, but moved up to salt lake recently. WILD to see how much is changing in the short time i've been gone. I'm grateful white dome is protected land, there's a lot of beauty in the area i'd hate to see get dug up/covered.
I was a Land survey for about 18 years in St. George. I got there in 1991. I believe there was 75,000 people in the whole county. My first big job was Redcliffe mall my last job was where you are at now. The highway going to the airport. I left in 2009

@@macraeheppler if your all for watching our city crumble then your not right for Washington county. We need something to help with property taxes, but growth isn't it. I don't want more people to move into our county and cause more crowding we are stretched to the max and are ready burst at anytime now. We are like a fragile bubble and will pop at even the slightest touch.

The people moving in now are making changes to our traditions that have stood here for a good century. PLEASE DO RECONSIDER AND MOVE ELSEWHERE. WE ARE FAR TO CROWDED.

They don't take in consideration the water. Before to long we will all be like the dinosaurs, dead from lack of water. Our politicians are not thinking. More growth just equals more money to the higher ups.
Our politicians are not thinking about the future so much as they are thinking how can we make Washington County worse. I don't like this growth and hate that our water is getting worse to drink and becoming non-existent.
I-15 is getting ready to be widened. However, the area is growing in the direction further away from I-15, so getting to the freeway from outlying areas (such as Ivins, where the new resort is located) is a bit of a commute, because Dixie Drive is only 2 lanes either side (in most places) and getting very overcrowded, not to mention in need of another resurfacing.
I doubt another Costco will come to this area until it grows a lot more. It would make more sense that Cedar may eventually get one if it continues to grow, but that's probably still a few years away.
@@rrbbb1180 Actually it is in the talking stages right now. They are considering building another costco. It will happen it's just a matter of when it will happen. Washington County will get a Costco.
All this is great, but without that airport increasing its flight volume and offer more nonstop locations it’s going to be hard to continue this scale without collapsing.
There's major expansions in the works at the airport. I did a video about it a few months ago and there are more plans in the works over the next couple years.

Rather see a Sam's before another Costco. Need more variety, not more of the same, which seems to be the trend here.

And still appears I-15 is only two lanes in each direction. Looks like congestion from the AZ border until you get past St. George.
I-15 is getting ready to be widened.
