He needs the crutch of pre-established melodies and repeated chord that lies in and resonates throughout pop music. Raurys initial release had interludes that included fights with his mother being an independent struggling artist and more importantly a solo alternative songwriter. Sure what Kudi did was "different" musically in common terms when it first dropped but Raury will continue to progress as an artist and more importantly as an alternative artist. He has proved that in 3 short years. whereas Kudi has proved he really doesn't belong.

The guy was bringing something new to the table especially since it was 09. has he had set backs yes, but don't try to bash an artist just because another person doesn't agree with your opinion.
