This is the lost tape of Fond My Mind and this is my version of the whole story:
About two weeks ago, some people started contacting me through social media, asking for information about a mysterious and unidentified song. I'm not sure how it got to me, but the story is that this song was performed on a radio in the early 90s. Someone recorded this radio broadcast at the time it was happening and years later published it on the internet.
From then on, a growing group of people, organized on forums such as Discord and Reddit, began to review the internet in search of information about this song. They say the search has been going on for over ten years, and the song could be over 30 years old.
All these people had was the recording of the radio broadcast, where the song appears with the beginning cut off by a transition sound effect. This broadcast was posted on RUclips and the song was called "Fonf My Mind", as no one knew its real title.
By mere coincidence, I had contacted the author of this song back in the late 80s or early 90s, as we are both keyboardists and music producers in the same city. I even went to his studio once, and I remember seeing there a 4-track k7 tape recorder, a Yamaha SY77 synthesizer and another Technics synthesizer, perhaps. And through a mutual friend I got a copy of this mysterious song, which spent 30 years stored in a drawer in my studio until these people started looking for me and asking about it.
The real name of the song is Feels Like a Wish, from a project called Station K. The project was formed by producer Edde Edman, who at the time used the name Edde Walcan (or Valcan, I don't know for sure) and the singer of this song was a guy called André Nóbrega. I don't know if another tape exists with the entire song, uncut, so this might really be the only recording we'll ever see of it.
My name is William Paiva, I have nothing to do with the production of this song, I have no rights to it, but apparently I am the only one who has a complete recording of the song. The decision to release Feels Like a Wish officially rests solely with its author/producer: Edde Edman.
Technical notes:
The tape found is a Sony EF60 K7. The tape deck used was a Tascam Portastudio 424. The tape was digitized through the preamps of a MOTU UltraLite MK5 interface, at 24 bits and 48khz.
No audio processing was added so this video sounds as close as possible to the K7 tape.
The original audio tape is preserved.

"Feels like a wish coming true" sounds so fitting as an ending to the song that was being searched for so long
I think it’s safe to say this is the better version. Sure there may be more noise, but I think the noise reduction took out a few frequencies of the song. Thank you so much for posting this!

Well William, I guess you did make my (and many others') dreams come true! I hope Edde releases this on Spotify or something, it would certainly be much more popular than 30 years ago. He might be a bit of a jerk, but this song is just amazing.

Raw audio sounds so much nicer, this full version just sounds incredible.
This is way better than the 'restored' version with plugins. Please, you have more chances to get in touch with Edde so tell him to release a remastered and official version man!

I knew it was “fog my mind” instead of fond, felt like I was going crazy
this version sounds more similar to the radio recording we had, with the reverb of the drums and overall sound quality but it is a much higher quality. Sounds really good 👍👍

I’ve seen many people out there who withhold their archives from the public, do poorly in preserving them, or get rid of them altogether before realizing that they had something special. Eu nunca imaginei que Recife fosse forte no cenário de música eletrônica, ainda mais nos anos 90. Eu nasci em 1996, e me lembro quando eu tinha por volta dos 5 anos em 2002, de ter visto bailões aqui em Fortaleza-CE com os funks da Furacão 2000 dos anos 80 tocando em toca fitas da Gradiente e de ver aqueles racks com enormes aplificadores de potência (HA-II, PM 5000, A - II) todos surrados pelo tempo de uso, mas ainda tocando bonito caixas de som com falantes Snake de 15 e os gloriosos Selenium WPU 1509. Legal saber que o nordeste, e em específico, Recife era forte nesse movimento!

you should probably try recording this using a well-serviced HiFi deck to get rid of any imperfections caused during playback by the tape deck
that should help with restoring it to its full quality
