ABG Interpretation: Application For Practice

Name an over-ordered study and I will raise you an ABG. They do have their place in the world though. Using them to identify immediate problems and help drill down to the most likely diagnosis based on the acid-base disturbance is key.
You've probably had a lot of ABG lectures over the years. This one breaks down the step wise approach to discovering the primary disorder and how well the pt is compensating. Beyond that it teaches how to derive a list of differential diagnoses and develop a plan of care.
