The starting areas are packed with new players. The world feels alive. There's no need for a fresh server. Anyway, this has been tried before. Tel'Albim never really got off the ground. Maybe when 2.0 comes out.
Nice to know that Turtle WoW is still going strong. I've never played on that server, but I've always kept it in mind if I ever wanted to dive deep into nostalgia. As for a fresh server, Warmane does that from time to time. They'll have a rotating server that recycles from vanilla all the way to WotLK. They're usually not nearly as popular is their main dedicated server but do see some play.
A tons of new players come and go everyday, low lvl zones always feels like a fresh. And new end game content just released. I don't think we will see any fresh soon, and I think the most important thing - we don't even need this.
Turtle wow is great as is. There are always pugs for all content so you can start fresh and there are guilds starting all the time. FRESH when will come and go, turtle has had its success and longevity by doing what they have been. Let's not kill this great project by catering to the come and go in 3 month crowd. Just the thoughts of a need that loves turtle wow
I see the desire for it, but I also see big risks and problems. In a world where everything is going well and endless stream of players I could see it. Question how many long term players are there? The "fresh realm when?"-group of players are coming in fast and leaving even faster. They have a dream how their journey goes this time and it realizing after a couple of months that it is not like they imagined it and quit. If we want a merge after X months, the devs would have to make char slots combined with the old realm. Or does somebody with full char slots have to create a new account for a realm? Does the name db for the player names be linked from the beginning? Or do people have to rename their char their were raiding on when the merge hit? Realistically, does Nordanaar need more players? It's not an easy decision. And I think the fate of the PvP server is not very encouraging. What if next time Blizzard pumps out their Vanilla+ idea.
The "FRESH" crowd leaves after 2 months for the next Fresh... As always. It's not worth it, turtle's unique selling point is it being one long established realm.
Way back in the day I played DAoC and they did a 'hardcore' pvp server that made only your group/guild/alliance (they had a system where guilds could ally into alliances in game, like a super guild) was friendly and all others even those of the same 'side' were hostile/attackable and you got direct xp for kills. Obviously no perma death otherwise no one would survive. Want to do something different? maybe that. Have not seen that in wow as far as i know. MAYBE adjust the hit penalty for pvp so at least low level players could mob high level gankers when that happens... Otherwise Twow seems quite vibrant, ive had no shortage of groups at all levels so far as I approach 40 and i see lots of things going on in the 50s, at 60, and raids.
The spanish and portugues speakers feels amaZIng with the new servers with a full y language support n them, so Even some.people.dont like it because of fragmentation, we love it
wasnt actually worth splitting the playerbase just for lower ping. It's not pvp sweat arena server anyway where you need to perform pro tricks that rely on ping. And language support? bruh english is used everywhere. And you can speak your local language inside your guild
Would like to see PvE with warmode like it has been suggested, but what I would really love to see is more incentives for world PvP beyond the 20% xp boost. Leveling with world PvP is the best way to experience WoW imho.
Lets take it up a notch, not just world pvp lets make only guild/group friendly and all others targets and give xp (diminishing returns per target probably a good idea to prevent brawl levelling)
Fresh is going to kill Turtle, the good part of Turtle is that the server is old and you know there will be no fresh you can log in play some weeks go out and the server is here every one is here you can commit to it you can comming to having all chars at 60 with BIS gear and so on. The best part of Turtle is there is not going to be fresh. Fresh is just dopamine rush the same as the PVP server you get a lot of ppl at start but after few weeks it dies, this is not a good long term strategy. Seeing some top geared ppl in the world is soo epic is so motivating like oo i wanna be this geared too, and now the server is pumping with new ppl the zones as full, with ppl. My idea is to get separate HC server like HC only server, and when you hit 60 you can choose to stay in the HC server forever till you die or go to the normal server with the immortal Title. I don't rly like to wanna do some quest and cant inv a HC player.

it had alot of players at the lunch, but then SoD came, thats why the server never really recovered

fresh is overrated
fr, never understood hype about it

I respectfully disagree that we dont need this, i think this is excatly what turtle wow needs, but i definately see what your saying :)

I agree, the FRESH!!!! crowd will leave in weeks or months to the next FRESH!!!!! thing.

Very valid points!

100% leveling world pvp is peak vanilla content.
leveling world pvp is best experience? you like being corpse camped?

a fresh PvE server (with warmode) would be awesome

I’d play on a hardcore pvp server!
1.12 engine is shite... too bad, but thats what it is
