How is this the first I'm hearing about this? I watched this video yesterday and bought an Awair immediately. Today was my first day using it from morning until now (around 5pm.) My CO2 levels went from 497 (8am) to 1147 (4:40pm). I noticed it around that time, opened the door for my home office and started the fan. Looking at the drop in cognitive capacity that happens, it's wild that I've been experiencing this probably daily without really knowing it. What!!!???!! How is this so unknown?
Given that this talk is now 5 years old, has anyone done their homework to know if there's better consumer air monitors on the market that aren't very expensive? Or is Awair still one of the best?
Just when we need something like that! Another thing of importance are mosquito screens. Helped a lot with pollen. Insects are not a nuisance anymore as we fitted all windows. Air filters make a difference indeed. We have cats and dog. What helped is a bunch of roombas running around as well. Two dehumidifiers (bathroom, laundry) made a huge change (45 pct humidity). I also have allergies but all this helped a ton. Reduced the need for medication like you mentioned. #airgeekdom Bought two Awairs after this powerful infomercial :-D I work from this place most of the time.
I feel that everybody underestimates negative effects of dry air. Dry air can increase amount of small particles in the air. Dry air causes skin irritation (from my personal experience).
California. Ventilation regulations there only cover exhausts. So you must exhaust in bathrooms. But there are no regulations, sadly, mandating that fresh air is supplied to the house (beyond opening windows).
Did they place the microphone in the snacks-corner?
Undefined Podcast brought me here
Man if you would do a second episode of this it will get so much attention

Hey this is SUCH an awesome video. Did you ever test IQ air and Austin Air units?

Have not given much though about this, then bought a house fitted with an MVHR system. Can't recommend it enough.
Here is another idea. You can breathe out bubble foam your breathe of CO² and you can get rid of it that way.
1:02:25 "never been a better time to make that argument (to move to remote work)", I guess 2020 hasn't happened yet.
Thank you for this informative talk!
Shout out to everyone who wanted to suddenly talk about house plants at 33:00
Would be nice if you could link to this Air Quality monitor.

God damn it, I have to take out the CO2 generator in my grow tent that's in my room I sleep in every night.
WTF do you live that ventilation is not regulated?
