Union pacific No.119 and Central pacific No. 60, or better known as the "Jupiter" were put nose-to-nose at the golden spike event to mark the completion of the transcontinental railroad at Promontory, Utah. Back in 2009, the government built replicas of the locomotives for the anniversary of the event using the original diagrams of the locomotives.

It's called Hafenbahn Frankfurt (in english Port Railway Frankfurt). That was best trip ever.

Being a Brit I have a preference for British steam engines, but I do respect what the American’s have done, I mean if it wasn’t for some of the innovations made in the US a lot of British steam engines wouldn’t exist
I rid on many steam engines, one was a mine train called Eureka Nevada #7 and i THINK it was used on silver mines...? It has a 2-6-2 wheel arangement, made in 1915. It now runs at silverwood theme park in athol, idaho.
Yes, I’ve seen a steam locomotive. But only on static display and couple occasions where I saw 4014 and 2816 both in the same state, I just I had to travel to Louisiana from Mississippi, so it wasn’t a big burden. But they were during different years. One in 2021 and the other earlier this year.
Ya I’ve seen the kettle valley railroad before in British Columbia ca if you can I highly recommend it and if you can do the train robbery as well there is a huge trestle bridge and the history is great
