    What I like on your videos is that you take the trouble to find out if parts are swappable with other guns. For the professional viewer, ( I’ve been a smart repairer for 25 years) who has a collection of different guns , that is valuable info as being able to swap out certain parts and the flexibility of different spray pattern etc on guns means you can use some to repair or refresh others and it’s often the case that buying a gun is much cheaper than buying individual items . Thankyou.

      Hi Mate, Thank you for watching 👍
      I really enjoy looking at the interchangeably of different components on gun's, often things like tips are marked differently but are, in fact, the same, I think it's sometimes a way of manufacturers being able to sell the same thing twice 😂, cheers buddy 😀

      Hi Mitchell, we don't get that in the UK, we only get 2080 or 2081, there is a new one out called Maximum but i haven't tried that yet, I suspect the 2084 will be one of them but under a different code. The Upol clears I've used have been good for gloss retention and durability including UV protection, there is no doubt they are harder to spray, i have used them for years so get on well with them but recently i have been trying others and they are so much more forgiving

      Thanks Andrew, no I haven't, the LPH50 and F55-G share the same bodies as these two in this video, it's only the tips, air cap and marking that are changed so build quality will be very similar which in the case of the Meiji is the best there is from an engineering point of view, as far as i know they do a 0.5 and 0.8 tip, I suspect it will be very similar to the LPH50 in performance, which is very good indeed

      It depends what the size of furniture is and the recommended tip sizes for the products you use but i would say you wouldn't go far wrong with a Iwata LPH80 1.2 E4, your compressor will run it ok, they atomise really fine, low overspray and well made

    If you was to buy three dedicated guns for smart repair jobs which three would you choose for primer base and clear coat. Just would like to know your options seen as you get a hold of almost every spray gun known to man lol. Thanks Pete.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  2 года назад +1

      Hi mate, yeah, not far off it these day's 😂, If price was no object I would have a cheap ANI GF3 in 1.2 and drill it out to 1.5 for primer, I would have an W300WB 1.0 for base or small clear jobs and a Devilbiss DV1s in 1.0&1.2 as it comes with 2 tips and use the 1.2 nearly all the time for clear, if there was a fair number of full panels involved regularly i would drop the W300WB and replace it with a Pro Lite S (sri pro lit) in 1.4 TE5 cap as it a good clear gun which delivers a good amount of material so makes full panels easier, DV1S is a bit slow, or a full size gun for bigger jobs for clear like the Sagola Xtreme 4600

    • @ForwardMovingDesigns
      @ForwardMovingDesigns 2 года назад

      @@peteshobbies5383 nice choices it's my 40th birthday soon and I fancy a few new guns the dv1s is a definite for me but have been sitting in the saddle when it comes to a base and primer gun. I was thinking devilbiss flg5 for primer but I reckon its probably going to be a too wider fan. I own a ANI gf3 and have drilled a 1.8mm hole in a nozzle as I bought every tip size they had and spraygunsdirect sent me a extra nozzle tip out. not had time to try it yet though its been sat in its box since. The 1.2 tip does spray bang on for that gun. I'm currently using two sri pro's old ones one for base one for clear both in 1.0's one with hv5 and others got te5 on it. Also use the 3m accuspray in a 1.8 for primer its served its purpose but old now and not a very good gun. Also have a gti pro lite with that I use for bigger jobs with te10 and t110 air caps. Glad you mentioned the guns you did though the iwata may just be the final gun I decide on. 👍 thanks for the reply and the videos you upload.

      Your welcome, I really enjoy spraying so to share it with others is enjoyable for me and hopefully all you as well, and because it's not a pressured work environment i can experiment to my hart's content which I know many can't
      The FLG5 in a great workhorse, reliable, good finish and not expensive, I used one for 5 years and was very happy with it, it's got a relatively small fan for a full size gun so probably wouldn't be too much overkill in most situations, as far as full size guns go the Devilbiss Gti Pro lite with the TE10 and T110 is a lovely gun and would be my choice if we were thinking about budget, particularly the T110 with a 1.2 tip, really good for a flat finish if that's what's required 👍
