- Un gran clásico para la cantante galesa Bonnie Tyler seguramente en su faceta más rockera, canción perteneciente a ella misma, incluida en el album del mismo nombre, "Hide your heart" de 1988. Como autores de la canción aparecen Desmond child y Knight Holly y como co-autor el vocalista de KISS, Paul Stanley; el mismo había querido meter la canción en el disco de KISS "Crazy nights" de 1987, incluso la canción estaba en los demos del album junto con "Sword and stone", pero ambas fueron rechazadas por la disquera; entonces Paul había cedido estas canciones a otros artistas, Sword and stone a Paul Dean de Loverboy (aunque la versión mas exitosa vino un poco mas tarde con la banda alemana Bonfire), y ésta (Hide your heart) a Bonnie Tyler, la cual tuvo un reconocido éxito; sin embargo, Paul Staley había presentado la canción en su gira solista de 1989, y cuando notó que tuvo una buena aceptación del público, decició sacarla en el siguiente disco de KISS, el "Hot in the shade" de 1989; a partir de ahí la versión de KISS opacó a la de Bonnie Tyler, llegando a ser mucho más exitosa, incluso a nivel mundial...
Más allá de las historias, una muy buena version Hard/AOR (la primera) de este clásico de clásicos interpretada por una de las mejores voces del Pop/Rock femenino...
Revisando RUclips encontré el video pero una calidad bastante mala, así que quería compartir con ustedes esta versión con mejor sonido; la imagen puede ser resaltada hasta ahí, es lo máximo que un VHS de hace más de 20 años puede brindar...

Wooooow no me puedo decidir en ninguna de las versiones existentes, a Ace también le sale super y a Paul no se diga otra mujer cuyo nombre no recuerdo también increíble, definitivamente esta canción fue hecha para prevalecer y dejarte sin aliento al ser escuchada.

Hide your heart was an album where other artist versions did better than Bonnie's, first The Best a massive hit for Tina Turner, Don't Turn Around Aswad and Save up all your Tears which became a huge hit for Cher
Philip Watson ...and yet it is a sensational album. Crazy that it didn’t become a huge hit album.
Paul Stanley wrote this song with Desmond Child; it was on Kiss' "Hot in the Shade" album. A lot of other artists have covered this song.

@@orielterminator Tá certo, entendi. Parece que o Ace e outros intérpretes também seguem o tom original da Bonnie. Se não fosse a internet, acho que eu só conheceria a versão do Kiss e equivocadamente pensaria que fosse a primeira. Mas cada um tem suas preferências, pelo que li muita gente gosta mais da do Ace. Em relação à personalidade do Paul já li algo a respeito de um livro que cita as tretas dele com alguns ex-integrantes da banda por problemas com drogas e outras coisas, mas não lembro os detalhes e não posso opinar sobre os acontecimentos.
