I love videos like this where you show the progression of a tree over time! Thanks very much for the shoutout Nigel. I hope the cut putty works well for you and Jay! 🪴😊
Good Morning. Nice shaping and pruning; looks good! Your Franken-Ficus is looking quite ready for Halloween today. I can imagine a skeleton coming out from in between its roots !👻👻 As they say, it’s Bootiful 👻👻 Thanks for🎃 the treat!!!
Hi nigel. Am glad to see the progress of ur fusion ficus. Few days back I too did an experiment of fusion ficus by taking inspiration from urs. I am basically trying to fuse ficus benghalensis on top of ficus religiosa. I am so happy to share my progress with u. Today I noticed my fusion experiment is going all good, it has started to develop new roots eventually anchoring the other ficus aswell. Am so happy to see the progress on both mine nd ur bonsai as well. Thanks for always inspiring newbie gardeners like us to try new experiments in bonsai hobby. Happy gardening Nigel! 😇 Love from India 🇮🇳
Well done Nigel, your bold moves are certainly starting to materialise. @franksivilli6269 makes an interesting observation of the tree at 7:02 there's another interesting view almost at the back at 6:49. You've created great possibilities and I look forward to seeing the progress. Making this great progress is a compliment to the health and vigour you maintaining 👍
Ooooh, I definetly see the tree on the right path now!!! Also, I love how I understood how accents actually sound in English from You and the Notion Bonsai 😃 (I'm from Poland and what I mean to say is that I spend more time listening to the two of you than any other English speaking person 😅)
I knew your Ficus b. were vigorous but holy cow! You've been pruning that sucker multiple times this year. I'm impressed, my favorite tree of yours I think or close.
Nigel, this format with flashbacks is quite helpful, thanks. I'm much encouraged by your hard pruning of a Benjamina! Mine gets a first potting this morning (Thailand). Hoping for back budding 🤞
Wonderfulness..I really enjoy seeing the videos with the history of the tree...for some reason, my ficus benjamina will back bud nicely after pruning. But the too little ficus doesn't 🤔🤷♂️
Franken-Ficus has really come along Your "vision" is coming true...How do you do that? Its such a unique style and shows so much vigor...The areal roots are amazing...It's like looking at a jungle tree right in your front room...I'm now the proud owner of a pair of variegated Benjamini ficus(two from same pot) which I hope to grow using all this information from your videos...Great background music by the way...Thanks for sharing...
Saludo amigo, creo que el árbol ahora tiene una buena base, lo siguiente es crecer en las ramas!! ¡El árbol está creciendo bien ahora y parece que estoy poniendo una rama justo donde la quiero!
I always thought it would be hard to get the graft point to blend in but my benjamina sprouted a ring of aerial roots about half way up the trunk and it’s slowly looking like it was grafted too so I guess it’s a pretty natural thing too. I’m just gonna leave it and see how it develops later on

The view of the tree at 7:02 is very graceful. It keeps looking better and better Nigel
Really amazing transformation in just one year!
