Great video, very informative. I am just converting from iPhone to Android. This is my first one ever and I actually have both the S5 and the S6 Edge. You have definitely sold me on the S6 Edge especially with the camera. I also have an iPhone 6 and the camera on it is great, but when you went over the specs and I could actually see the differences and compare them, it made a huge difference. If you could, can you possibly make a comparison video between the iPhone 6/ 6+ and the S6/S6 Edge? I think for more people like me coming over from iPhone to Android, it would be beneficial for them to see what they are actually getting just like in this video. Just some thoughts, don't know if you have done it already. Fairly new to this You Tube thing. Thanks Dan
Dear SuperSaf, I guess you said it all. I just have to learn listening faster. You did IMPLY very discretely that Samsung gave in to the anti-plastic lobby. From the previous comments you hear the clear message from everybody's lips that Samsung should not have discarded the interchangeable battery, memory card option and the IP67 waterproof certification. I would gladly go for the S6 if it had all the advantages of the S5 plus a variation of non-plastics to please the yuppies. But I'm not stupid. I still like what I hear about the S5 so I will go for it. Right now I'm using my 4 year old Galaxy S2. There is no problem with it - I love it. I will keep it as a back-up if I need that for some reason. Otherwise I will keep it out of pure nostalgia. It has served me well. I am sure the S5 will do the same for at least some four years. So the next one after that will probably be the Galaxy S11... Yeah - if it materializes in the right materials with all the smartness of the S5 as a base!

yair1010 yep I totally hear you. Ok the s5 wasn't great but all the others from the s range and note range of samsung have been great especially with these features. Most people would rather have a mirco sd slot n store stuff on that than to upload it onto online storage places especially after the hacks n all. And the removable battery was key for alot of people especially people on the go and travelling etc. I am so not impressed. Would rather buy a iphone plus than a s6 :/ end of day if your gonna copy someone then I might as well go for the original. At least then I ain't disappointed.

I picked up the S6 Edge a week ago. I love it it's super fast. As far as the camera it makes the S5 look like a turd there is a big difference in picture quality. As far as the battery is concerned it may be smaller but with power save mode on I get around 30 hours of battery life and ultra power save gets 40 hours. in all I'm really pleased with the S6 Edge. The only issue I see is even with 3 gigs of ram 90% is always used up leaving me 600 MB left. Samsung has made the UI with less bloatware so you'd think less would give more ram !! Not the case. The S5 was no different. Samsung has said they are aware of the ram issue and are working on a patch for the ram issue. I would highly recommend anyone to take a look at the Edge it's premium build with aluminum and glass are beautiful to look at and hold.
I recently just lost my phone and was contemplating whether I should, or shouldn't upgrade to the S6.. I'm just going to get another S5. It didn't really run all that slow. I could swap my batteries for long trips and the fact that it was waterproof was pretty dope. & Honestly, who cares how it looks if you're just going to put a cover over it.
Yes the s5 didn't feel premium without a case. However you could always buy one of samsung's s window cases and added a smooth leather back to your phone. I have and trust me it's amazing. Feels like a note 4.
NO waterproof NO SD card ! they were the best features in Galaxy S5 ! And i guess the glassy finishing will make it even easier to crack as any iPhone !! All what we need is: Longer battery life, unbroken screens/phone body extra memory, waterproof feature and faster processor..!!!!
ok samsung did improve with the s6 has super spec & edge could just be the coolest look, but i ride bikes & travel a fair bit, taking loads of photos & videos. This means i need my phone to be water & shock resistance for wet weather, extra external batteries for days when charging is not possible, & additional exchangeable unlimited ( well as long as i carries extra mico sd cards) storage space ,....now this S6 is a HUGE step back from S5

With the Note 7 indecent there is a very good chance that they will bring back swappable batteries for the 8 (as long as it's not to late in the design stage!) If the Note 7's had had swappable batteries Samsung would have had a much easier and cheaper time fixing the issue by asking people take their device in to where it was brought or apply online for a new free battery and send/bring in the old one!

Really despite what they want us to believe there is no reason to buy a new phone every one to two years other then the following few reasons! 1. Damaged beyond repair or repair is too expensive! 2. Theft or Lost! 3. Hardware no longer viable (In Australia they phased out almost all phone tech that is under 3G spec last year and word has it that 3G is only set to last until 2018 to 2020 at the most!). 4. Essential software updates no longer supported on your older gen device (Like my old Galaxy S3!) Apart from those few reasons we should only ugrade when we have too I only just got a Galaxy S5 Plus becuase my Galaxy S3 was dying it was giving me shitting sound in calls when I could here the other person that is and was so dam slow even after i tried a factory reset that I really did not have a choice but to get a new phone! I went for the S5 over the S6 because apart from the slightly better cpu, screen and cameras I like being able to change batteries if i need a power boost quickly. Banks are useful but not really meant for on the go use and quick charge overtime kills batteries and if you can't swap them out for a new one is kinda dumb to have!, Water and Dust proof is a huge plus for me at least, and no micro SD slots wtf if I am on holidays what am I meant to do plug a shitty micro usb storage drive those are awkward to use on the move and not everyone has large cloud drives and can afford the data rates (Or can get cell or wifi signals when they are taking the pictures!) =( BTW LTE is not 4G, LTE is a bridge between 3G and True 4G. True 4G is faster with a greater range then the 3G tech! (Let's compare it to wifi, WiFi AC is three times faster the regular WiFi, LTE is like having two WiFi devices rather than a WiFi AC device it makes your device faster then just having the one WiFi device but not to the same degree as having a WiFi AC device!)
Huge deal breakers for me... I was hoping for a more water resistant phone... I could do without a removable battery, but not the micro SD card slot.... I'm far note likely now to just go out and get the S5 after the S6 gets released. Im very disappointed in this phone, sure it looks nice, but its missing so much!
The new processor that resolves the over-heating issue, the finger print scanner, and improved front facing camera are enough for me to go out and buy a the s VI. I'm excited about the speaker being on the bottom of the phone, and I wonder how crisp the sound will be as well. I loved my s III I thought I'd love the s V just as much, and I did . . .. . .before lollipop.

Now you need a case to cover that sleek look. So what did you gain? For this you give up removable storage, replaceable battery ? Oh and the really good news is now i have a phone with a glass back. Galaxys5 ftw imo n it doesn't just go up to 128gb with a sd card but it goes more up to 250gb is what I have on my s5 plus I have gona swimming wit my phone n recorded underwater it's awesome

Short Sharp Crisp review ... Cheers ... I'm a Samsung Die Hard, however not having a Micro SD for me is a "MAJOR FLAW" & the Waterproofness. I have a S5 which I absolutely "Love To bits". I rotate between 3, 32GB cards with films App's and Pictures. OH Samsung what have you done, at what point did an individual think this would be a GOOD IDEA. My contract doesn't run out for another year so I'll keep my fingers crossed or Buy Buy Samsung.
@SuperSafTV I would rather get a slightly worse screen side camera and have to add wireless charger card but have waterproof case swappable battery and Micro SD storage the few upgrades you get is not worth the sacrifice! Plus the gorilla glass backs is a stupid idea while the glass is tough I would prefer only have one side of my phone that could break as opposed to two! In my Opinion Samsung tried to hard to make the S6 an iPhone rather than keep their own original style and feel! I hope Samsung return and improve upon the S5 features they removed, While keeping the Samsung Pay system, higher quality screen and cams of the S6 if not improve upon them for the S7!
S5 used almost 1.3 gb of RAM out of 1.75 GB for just run the system.. without running any background apps or anything. And how much RAM S6 need to just run the system??..S5 hangs while you are playing a huge graphics game with one or two background apps runnings.. so i hate Samsung for doing this...
I have s5 mini all I can say it's crap it's on my desk going to the grave I drop it 1 time the led screen broke . I can't Waite tell s5 comes in this week :) s5 better s6 don't look ok no sd cards u cant take the batter out :( good s5 2016 top rate phone :))

If it had water proof and extended microsd card of storage, It would have been a perfect build of samsung device, and also upgraded the battery and stead of downgrading it like da fuck.... oh well, looks like I will stay with my s5, lets see what the s7 looks like in the future and hope they dont fuck it up like the s6....
Short Sharp Crisp review ... Cheers ... I'm a Samsung Die Hard, however not having a Micro SD for me is a "MAJOR FLAW" & the Waterproofness. I have a S5 which I absolutely "Love To bits". I rotate between 3, 32GB cards with films App's and Pictures. OH Samsung what have you done, at what point did an individual think this would be a GOOD IDEA. My contract doesn't run out for another year so I'll keep my fingers crossed or Buy Buy Samsung.
@SuperSafTV I would rather get a slightly worse screen side camera and have to add wireless charger card but have waterproof case swappable battery and Micro SD storage the few upgrades you get is not worth the sacrifice!
Plus the gorilla glass backs is a stupid idea while the glass is tough I would prefer only have one side of my phone that could break as opposed to two!
In my Opinion Samsung tried to hard to make the S6 an iPhone rather than keep their own original style and feel!
I hope Samsung return and improve upon the S5 features they removed, While keeping the Samsung Pay system, higher quality screen and cams of the S6 if not improve upon them for the S7!

s5 master race!
S5 used almost 1.3 gb of RAM out of 1.75 GB for just run the system.. without running any background apps or anything. And how much RAM S6 need to just run the system??..S5 hangs while you are playing a huge graphics game with one or two background apps runnings.. so i hate Samsung for doing this...
