Cool video thank you, any idea how you would make this work using Pro Tools? The issue I’ve come up against with other devices is that Pro Tools needs a specific audio engine, in my case and SSL2 plus if I tried to access the mighty plug pro via USB I would imagine it would try to make it the audio engine which obviously won’t work for everything else like monitoring and headphones.
Tried this with the head rush gig board but had the same problem as did everyone else I conversed with on forums so if you know any solutions it would be really helpful.
Obviously can just use a 3.5 mm to 2x jack cable but might be cleaner via USB

I am on Android and have the Mighty Plug Pro. The app has a bug and does not allow scrolling. E.g. I can only choose from 12 amps instead of 21. It has the same issue with other lists that are longer than 12 items.

Thank you for this guide ! I have a question, do you think we can add plugins like amplitube in the daw and play the guitar ? (maybe too much latency?! ) thanks

    • @ThePedalGuy
      @ThePedalGuy  Год назад +2

It’s possible but I haven’t tried it. Basically you would simply use the MP3 as an audio io into your DAW and use amplitube inside the daw. It should work as the usb-c latency is pretty low

They do save with the Mighty editor app on Mac/pc. Not saving on the iOS app so that must be a bug

Hi, Im having a bit of an issue with recording with the MPP
I'm using audio evolution mobile running on android for multi track recording.
When I have a drum track playing in the DAW and I record a bass or guitar track, I'm getting the drums bleeding into the guitar or bass track. This happens with both dry and normal recording, and the drums are making their way through the effects chain so if the guitar or bass is silent then the gate, if it's active, will cut it out but it's still there if the instrument is being played.
It's quite noticeable if I play back the guitar/bass track on solo (or all other tracks muted)
I have various other interface devices and some have a similar issue but the NUX MPP is by far the worst.
I've tried adjusting the settings in the USB menu and it can be improved slightly but I can't get rid of it.
Is this issue present when recording into a PC, or is there some way to stop the output from the DAW bleeding into the instrument input?

I got this today and couldn't get the Editor Software to connect to the Unit on an iMac. The Editor and Firmware updater dowloaded fine into the Applications and showed up on the screen... but they just never recognized the unit as being connected. My iMac's Bluetooth connected to the NUX Mighty Plug PRO but the Editor and Firmware apps still didn't recognize the unit even with the USB cable plugged in. Any Troubleshooter advice would be appreciated. Thanks

How can I do to avoid this? Thank you.

As far as I know when you connect a brand new mighty plug pro to your computer, mighty editor will insist that the mighty plug pro is not connected by usb until after you update the firmware. The firmware updater will insist that your mighty plug pro is not connected until the very moment you initialise the updating prosess. So initialising the firmware updating process by pressing the on/off button together withe preset button should convince both the firmwareupdating software as well as the mighty editor, that you have in deed connected your mighty plug pro to your computer. 🙂

Figured I'd semi-answer my own question in case anyone finds it helpful:
It's INPUT volume that will adjust the recorded level. To me that seemed like a pad/trim for the overall unit. Still wish that setting could "stick" though.

@@ThePedalGuy amazing. I’m assuming the mic loop back will work as well? I’m about to have an amazing portable setup if so. I’m getting a lavalier mic that has a headphone port, and then a headphone splitter for the port. One person will be able to record voice at the same time as another plays guitar or bass, both can monitor at same time because of the splitter. At least that’s the plan, I hope it works out.

    • @Stonemonkie1

I'm recording on an android tablet with a USB C port and just use a USB C to USB C lead. Your android device will need to have USB OTG, if it's a micro USB port then I'm not sure if you'd need an OTG lead or if you can just connect with a USB C to micro USB lead.
The software I use is audio evolution mobile, I think there's a free demo in the play store you could use to çheck if your connection works.
ETA: at first I'd tried 2 leads connected together to give USB C at both ends but that resulted in really bad sound in the audio recording.
