As the geo player for red team, this was by far the most exciting game of bar i have ever played, even if we had lost it wouldn’t change how good that game was!!! Thanks for casting it💯
Not even started watching it but I want to post, this was my most enjoyable game of BAR I've ever had. We had to work so hard to come back from where we were. What a game. Whippy.
Pond getting a constructor plane in the back makes me wonder about other things you could do with that in a more normal game. Imagine putting down a cloaked jammer and then just waiting. And then eventually maybe a T2 bot lab with tumbleweeds and ghosts right as the T3 factories get up and running.
If I may say, when attacking with air, try using two attack forces - one to draw the air wall away, and the other to land the blow. Won't help against ground AA, but it may work against opposition airforces. In my martial art, we call that waving your hand in the person's face, which comes with a nice follow-up. :)
RIP to SwissWhiskey, who decided he didn't want the winners boost to his skill ranking for this particularly fun match. Decided it was over and took the negative hit instead.
Personaly when i chesse like this i always go for an anti air tower before the bot lab, anything as low as a single shuriken or a banshee can completly ruin your cheese.
Great to hear! And it's a widget that highlights the value of metal in a reclaim field. Very helpful to at a glance evaluate how valuable a particular wreckage pile is worth
Back in OG Total Annihilation they were two distinct things, both focusing on producing static defenses. Turtle: A purely reactive "tower defence" strategy where you make a static, heavily fortified, and initially impenetrable base which is eventually destroyed by massive waves of units after the enemy grabs all the unclaimed metal on the map. Porc: As in "porcupine" -- you're basically an "advanced" or "evolved" turtle who expands your defences into the frontline, attempting to capitalise on breakthroughs to secure territory (and metal locations!).
This is the type of match that makes you want to fire up the game right away.
Absolutely!! XD

I was yellow and even though I had to rebuild my base 5 times it was a really fun game, thanks for casting it!

The artillery on the hill can easily shoot down by artillery on the ground.

Long time TA fan, getting into BAR. Great content! QQ, What are those outlines showing metal in an area?

Lmao the pond or grief guy doesn't fuck around with his username
Ducks are subs, you dont really want to use them as ground units so much as a sea assist unit
You said it, they definitely underperformed from my expectations XD
16:44 huh? I would've rezzed the commander and use it to com bomb a new base...
53:00 oh they don't care, they just rolling on though taking casualties!
Wait wait wait, why's everybody calling it porc? Isn't it called turtling?
I think it's in reference to porcupines being difficult to touch
