A couple I knew when to stay overnight in a yurt in Mongolia some 30+ years ago while touring and when the hosts found out it was her birthday they brought her a special treat "candied sheep eyes". She felt she couldn't resist the honour they were paying a foreigner. The memory of what it had tasted like was not a good one! Glad your stay went well but it must be a weird feeling staying in a nearly deserted tourist destination. My best and stay safe.
