History Monday! Fantastic mail from Silver Oceans. Your presidential metals collection has progressed nicely, looking good. I visited Monticello long ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. For those who have the chance it's a great place to visit, well persevered historical site. Thanks for sharing your metal and history of Jefferson!
You are very welcome and I have been to Monticello, but I was young and do not remember it vividly. I think I was 10 when I visited. I would love to go back again someday!
Great video brotha, I’ve missed these history Monday videos. Jefferson is certainly one of our greatest presidents ever. I’d like to make it over to Monticello someday. Thanks for the shoutout! 🔥🦈🌊
Thank you Oceans! I visited Monticello when I was a kid, but need a revisit because I do not remember much... You are very welcome and thank you for the awesome mail!🤙🏼
Hey Aloha. 58th👍 Just catching up with some your previous videos. Some really awesome products there. Great bio of Jefferson as well. Looking forward to seeing more.
Well-done. As you know I love the Presidential silver medals. Excellent mini-biography of Jefferson. Neat tidbit on July 4th 1776: As John Adams lay dying, he reportedly lamented that Jefferson, his long-time rival, would out live him. Unbeknownst to Adams Jefferson had died just a few hours earlier.
Thanks CH! I mentioned that in my John Adams video it is quite an amazing story of these two founding fathers! Madison coming soon.. I have the medals up to Quincy Adams now…
Ready to learn sir! Good to have ya back bro! Man, killer table set my friend! Bro the ads love your' video! Haha crappy mint packaging. Presidential medals are cool. Those nice clam shells really do make a big difference. Nice presentation. Pretty gnarly that slavery wasn't that long ago. Even more crazy that is still goes on in the world today! Cool medals for sure, thanks for the history my friend! I do love the greek mythology! Take it easy!
Thank you as always Pirate for your wonderful comments! The next history video should be pretty great, since I will have a couple coins to show off with Poseidon!
Thanks Britches! I do as well. I have heard many people say they are boring, but I like the plain look. The packaging on them is far superior to the current mint products and I hope they keep it for the rest of the series!
Hi bud thanks for sharing the life and times of Thomas Jefferson, Interesting fellow, I love the way Americans respect there presidents, In the commonwealth nations we have a priminister that is considered as just a nother guy running the show lol, as soon as election time comes around someone else takes over and the old one is quickly forgotten lol, any Australian will tell you who was America's first president but no one knows who was in office ten years ago in Australia.. I gotta really think to tell you that answer, I honestly don't know 🤣🤣
@@AlohaStacker Also remember the PM before - John Howard. Mostly because he had a face like a smacked @rse when he handed out winning medals to England when they beat Australia in the Rugby World cup final in Sydney. Good bloke - I met him in Kirribilli where he lived and we had a quick chin wag. But clearly didn't like loosing the Rugby to the Pommies.
Aloha, Aloha. Nice medal. My eyes were only on your beautiful Libertads and that Peace Dollar. I am still waiting on the 1oz RP & Antq Libertads. *TYU*
@@AlohaStacker Woah. You need to get at least one RP coin, Aloha. If only getting one, consider the 2 oz version. The RP is the most stunning Libertad.
Nice to see that finally come in. Is it every two months or something? Love hearing the history of our founding fathers. I've mentioned something similar on the last installment. To think of the knowledge each one possessed, can't just Google how to build the Monticello.
I am actually way behind on these so the good news is that I have the first 5, but I think they have already brought out about 10 so I have to catch up. I am not in a rush, so I will get there in time... I have up to John Quincy Adams so far. I think they bring out 2-3 a year so far... That is true Monticello is unique and I need to revisit since I have not been since I was 10.
I really enjoyed hearing about Thomas Jefferson, one of the most important figures in our nation’s history. I’m just wondering what the significance of the shaking hands and peace pipe are considering the fact that we screwed over native Americans from one side of the continent to the other and everywhere in between. Just wondering. As always, I really enjoy my weekly dose of history. Thanks Aloha!
Thank you T! The shaking hands and the peace pipe were on the original medals that were given during that time. I imagine at the time of the treaties and giving of the medals I don't think they could see the future turning out the way it did... At least I hope they didn't...
@@silverstackingmama4884 That is awesome and thank you so much for telling me this! My next video for history will be on Poseidon so a little Greek/Roman Mythology to the mix...
Nice summary but a shame this didn't cover the Barbary pirates actions that were a result of merchant shipping no longer having Royal Navy protection post independence. It's probably the only thing he"s famous for over here - probably from the Marines "shores of Tripoli" song. Gave birth to the US Navy.
I would love to do a video solely on that part… I may have talked about that in a previous video where I showed off a US Marines commemorative coin, but I cannot remember. That being said if there was a specific coin that represented that event in history I would love to do a history Monday on that! Thanks for the idea Gunnar!

Julia Gillard. I happened to be in Aus 10 years ago. You've comparing Apple's and Oranges cobber. It's Queen Elizabeth that was head of state.
