- Things in Prague that just make sense 🇨🇿👇
1) 2€ beers. Beer is incredibly cheap in Prague even at restaurants and bars. In many places you can get a pint for 50CZK (2€) or even less.
2) No ticket gates on public transportation. You can get mobile tickets and just walk onto the metro, trams, and buses without having to scan something to get on. And if you do want a physical ticket you can validate it on your way in at one of the machines.
3) Dogs are super well trained. Half the time people don’t keep them on a leash and they’ll just follow their owner no matter what.
4) Prague is extremely walkable. You can get to so many places all within walking distance and the streets are peaceful and safe for wandering.
5) Recycling. Prague really takes the environment and recycling seriously. There are many bins around town and these giant ones focus on properly sorting waste.
6) Green spaces everywhere. It’s so easy to find parks and nature in this city!

No gates at public transport. You still have to buy a ticket though...
Yes, but you dont have to bother with a thing if you have monthly or yearly ticket. You just need to avoid poles when in hurry
If you Are under 16 or over 65 you will have it for free
@@janantos8323 under 15
also the monthly/yearly tickets are so cheap, ~22€ for month or ~145€ for year, the "one-use" ticket for 90 mins is ~1.6€
Well duh
I was in Prague ONCE and I can still remember the friggin tram announcements. Příští zastávka Lipanska
It's all of public transport. All the time. At one point you just get so used to it you take it as backround noise
I have that sound stuck in my head omg
I am Czech and those announcements scare the shit out of me
@@CptApplestrudl Better tell how you've forgot pitchfork and cow herd on charles square... seriously. Every shithole in CZ have some buses with anouncements. Sometimes train too. If you are scared you must be living in isolation for a long time.
Odkud jsi?
As a Czech working for a tourist company, before going into any restaurant or a bar in the centre of Prague, please check the reviews if that place. I can't count how many places will charge you 5€ for a beer or just frick you over in any other way. Also put your phone and wallet in your front pockets

Super nice. I've been to Czechia and Prague in the early 90es, actually shortly after Czechia and Slovakia became independent. It's amazing how much has improved since then. I loved it in the 90es though and I'd love to come back soon.

Nice to hear. I lived in Prague for 17 years till recently. Nowadays it seems to me there is not so much rapid progress in Prague anymore (I visited Prague just yesterday), on the other hand, finally it seems there is time for other Czech towns to shine and improve as well.
So I recommend when you revisit Prague 😊 to take some time to visit some landscape and history outside the pretty capital as well 😊
@@petrskupa6292 Oh, I definately will. I visited the countryside in Bohemia and the pretty bath Towns Carlovy Vary, Marianske Lazne and Franze Lazne....

It's a city full of fake, lazy people. Everywhere else in Czech Republic is much better.

No ticket scanners and 1.5€ beers? I think not
1 thing you missed. Your allowed to actually use a self defense object!
As someone who lives in Prague, I can confirm only half of them. No tickets, tickets are still required if you want to travel without penalty. Dogs, you are just lucky, there is A LOT of untrained and just stupidly behaving dogs in here, but a lot of them are usually just non aggressive. The green spaces, half of them have like 50 kg of trash on them

2€?! Bro litelary anywhere else in czechia you find beet for less that 1€
So wonderful to see dogs walking free and happy … also plenty of places for them to play in the parks … ❤
The dogs off leash there are actually an issue and they are actively trying to change it. There are municipality workers that just deal with unruly dogs (they aren’t supposed to be on sports fields, manicured beds, private property, roadways, etc.) and although they don’t HAVE to be tethered they need to be properly trained and within their owner’s command… we all know how everyone thinks their dog/child isn't the issue. Yes, there are wonderful dogs & in a "perfect world" they would all frolic, but it's not ideal or safe.

In public transport you have to buy a ticket for example ticket for 30 mins and for start using just scan in the yellow thing at the entrace to metro (in trams are these too)
Yupp 👍🏻
@@JakeBraymiller You are tourist in here?
Dogs in Germany are very well trained too and are everywhere because of it, in restaurants, stores, etc.
Its literally just English and Americans that have stupid dogs, but its due to the owners.
They are not well trained in Czech Republic...that's why they can't go to the stores, restaurants, etc...
@@MatejJanousek1 I toured southern Germany 2x in the 1990s. Dogs everywhere. I expected to see lots of German Shepards but actually Dachshunds seemed the most popular especially the long-haired. I raised Weimaraners for 20 years, Germany's premier hunting dog that didn't make its way to the USA until Hitler was defeated. He wouldn't let them out of the country. Germans don't hunt like Americans so I didn't see a single Weim while touring.
