Go to a body shop supply store and get some Rust Mort. Brush it on that rust and let it sit 24 hours. It'll turn that rust black and kill it so it doesn't keep eating your truck away. Love the truck brother. I got a 1991 OBS 5.7, 5 speed, sport package truck.

Get her all sound deadened and lay out your wires for a system. That rust on the passenger side probably came from rat piss from that nest in the glove box. Get an air ionizer to run inside the truck with the ac/heat on to kill any mold up in the vents.

That rust on your passenger floorboards might be from rat or mouse urine, since the glovebox was a nest. I had the same problem and you might need to go to a pet store and get a urine neutralizing spray so the smell won’t ruin your new carpet. Thank you for the awesome videos. ❤️👍

It could be a leak from the heater core as well some people park cars due to overheating and the smell from that the rust could be from coolant sitting under the pad and carpet... Rustolum to the rescue. Nice truck good find.

That cleaning made a WORLD of difference!! Just saw some seats on one of the OBS FB pages but for the carpet you want to look for ACC carpet, from what I've been told. Also, you're right that blue....my goodness. It looks perfect on the OBS. I believe it's called Indigo but GM always has so many variations of one color. My goal is to have a second OBS in that color one of these days, whether it's stock or I have to repaint it lol

Came out dope💯 yo for fabrics and carpets, buy a carpet extractor dawg.
    Bissell Spotclean pro on Amazon.
Get some All Purpose Cleaner (Purple Power), spray it on the fabrics, let it soak a little bit, drill brush it, then extract with the Bissell (use hot water in the tank of it).
I detail vehicle interiors for money. So trust me on this bro👌🏻
    Love the truck!

Just got to the part of him pressure washing the seats.. make sure theyre completely dry if you plan on keeping them for a while. That much water WILL soak into the sponge of the seat and create mold.

Need a steam cleaner does a better job cleaning. Plus doesn't make things as wet so drying time is cut in half And it kills any bacteria or mold growing. Hate to say it but the seats will most likely bleed back through getting them that wet. Believe me I've made the same mistake. But we live and we learn. You guys did a good job cleaning that truck looks 100% better.Man that thing was dirty...

That driver's side seat might be able to be saved. I would call an upholstery shop and see what they would charge for new bottom foam and to recover it. Some seat covers are even DIY easy. I think the seat foam for it is. In fact, I just looked on Amazon.com and they have the seat foam for that model for 58 bucks and they have the fabric to cover it there as well I'm betting.
