Does it for me an' all mate , really hits the spot . I know it was about a furious , & a bit desperate high - speed horse charge in a desert war to turn the course of history , & all credit to these blokes for having the b***s to do it , even if they were under orders , but it,s still got the unstoppable flavour & positivity of Australia about it . Nice one Mr Kernaghan . Thanks mate .
You know, there is a lot significance about the charge of the Light Horsemen at Beersheba, the first, is that it saved the British forces from military disaster, if the charge failed, the Ottomans would have likely received reinforcements, but a successful charge, would turn the tide of the war effort against the Ottomans and would give their allies the much needed supply of water. That charge at the end of the day, saved the lives of a lot of men.
michael worsley They took Beersheeba because of the surprise they sprung. Neither German or Turk expected such a gallant charge. But the Australians risked everything, and won. THANKYOU FOR YOUR SERVICE MICHAEL WORSLEY.
