So you’re paying 245$ for acrylic hybrid? Is the 150$ call sound ok? I think your calling sounds like a dang duck. Duck in the woods does not do that much but your call sounds good.

Hey man, I’ve been running a double reed and ready to graduate. I do not need to Main Street hail call and be super aggressive, but want to get a JJ Lares... any recommendations? Super thorough, I was set on the hybrid until you mentioned that the mag hen is easier to control. I want something ducky (not necessarily ridiculously loud) and can hand more natural squeals and squeaks than a double reed. I hunt out of Sacramento CA
Hey bud. Personally, I think the Hybrid sounds a little more ducky and you can get more squeals and bottom end out of it. It's really not much harder to run than the mag hen. And the hybrid will get just as loud as the mag hen, it's just a different tone. They're both great calls. If you want something super forgiving and easy to run with all the back pressure you could ever want, I'd suggest the Land'nGear Sweet Talk.
The way I blow my calls is like changing my voice. When I want the low bottom end, I deepen the tone in my throat and put a less air pressure into the call.
