guys look it’s the guy that made the funny painter series! jokes aside, your series is awesome and I can’t wait for the next part! glad it’s getting more recognition
If I had to name 1 series that has made me feel actual, visceral, primal fear, it'd have to be yours. It feels like a nightmare I had when I was a kid translated perfectly into the real world. No other piece of media has ever evoked that feeling of dread I felt so vividly, and I applaud you.
Wyoming Incident is such a classic. Genuinely fantastic piece of online horror. I don't know if it was the first piece of analog horror online, probably not, but by god, it's still one of my favorites. The uncanny atmosphere, that music which still gives me the creeps, those *heads.* It's one of the most unnerving pieces of online art, imo. Not the scariest, the most unnerving. Perfect atmosphere, excellent sense of mystery and eeriness, and honestly I consider it the prime example of good analog spookiness. I miss when fear (I've said horror too much) could just be a single weird video instead of.. big series's and stuff. Though I do like some of those, too. Only some.
Btw, the Wyoming incident is actually an ARG, but it was so hard to the point that no one would care enough to actually solve. The ARG is still to this day a mystery
So a little known fact about The Grieving is that Cartoon Network and Adult Swim both knew about it. So much that it was mention in an Amazing World of Gumball episode known as “The Internet.” Adult Swim also released a video on their official youtube channel that showed their own variation of the grieving. Would not reccomend watching it though unless you have a strong stomach because it is very graphic and realistic.
Urbanspooks painter series is the most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen in the episode with the man in the pipes the past picture of the painter made me hide under my covers for 30 minutes and I’m a 14 year old 195 pound Russian with the arms of a gorilla so if that doesn’t say something then idk what does
Dude, I'm 21 and I couldn't even finish those videos because of how deeply disturbed I was. Serious props to urbanspook, I just feel bad that I won't be able to directly support them with my views because of how well-crafted their work is 😅 Theirs was the first analog horror series to ever shake me up that badly
I love and hate the fact that this video got recommended by me early in the morning while it's still dark and also the fact that nobody is in my apartment and the only thing that accompanying me is the droning noise of my air conditioner and the dark bathroom that I accidentally left forgot to close last night. Thanks.
Like that feeling early in the morning, when you see a huge, hairy monster looming over you in the darkness.....your dog is waking you up because they heard a scary noise.
While I enjoy urbanspooks stories, I can’t help but think he’s just a creepy guy? I mean HES selling shirts of a kid who possibly was sexually abused and then murdered- I know it’s all fiction but still, it always just didn’t sit right with me, sometimes he just goes to far into the realm of “ well you could, but should you do that? “ but hey, i still enjoy their content, as long as you push past the creepy stuff that isn’t fun creepy, just ew creepy- the rest of the series is fun creepy though!
Yeah, I applaud their ability to make some genuinely creepy videos, but the entire premise of it has honestly always felt a bit tasteless to me. And that's not even including the whole "selling merch of a murdered fictional child who was also implied to have been sexually abused." Which is definitely wildly tasteless.
Fun fact: I got an A in my art class when my assignment was to draw a scary monster, I literally just drew the creature from "The Grieving" and called it a day, so thanks for the free A!
12:54 blissful disappointment over the fact that something went wrong and it was your fault. However you automatically learn and vow to be better but deep down you know that you’ll never change…
Btw In a reply to a comment, VibingLeaf also said that in his canon of The Grieving, after the funeral. Nicole finds the creature that killed her kids and she kills it herself.
For the Wyoming incident I remember I watched so many horror films and stuff so when i watched it i confidently got up (I was pretty young) opened the windows and was sad when I didn't see the faces.
i think the guy's got potential. his art is truly creepy, but he's relying solely on shock horror and the internet is at a point where most of us are sick of shock horror.
I was waiting on UrbanSpook 👏 Of all the analog horror i've viewed this one has to be the most spine chilling conceptually Like no unknown mimic creature, no evil animatronics, no mysterious monument mysteries just an incredibly twisted individual and the art they create to embody the heinous crimes they've committed Chilling
"this may not surprise you as perticularly creepy..." *has doom 3 addon flash backs with the horrible enemy with a TV and teeth for a mouth* and there comes several nights of south park / smoking therapy undone from when I was a teen. Thanks bud!
If you enjoy faces, you should see the Vita Carnis series, for just a feature for next video, lets just say theres a hidden gem, that makes lots of people scared
The thing that discomforts me from the thalasin video is that if one were to use these pills, would the original face grow back once the effects wear off or will the heavily altered face remain the same as if the person were still under the effects?
@penitentestudios1492 wanna know something funny and creepy related to your question? Read the tiny letters on the Thalasin video, around 2:33 and your question will be answered.
dorcelessness? i dont need thalasin i can already feel dorcelessness. the problem is i just need to show people what it looks like. its not as horrifying as it looks its more like an elevated feeling of horror to the point of you cant think straight. no more passing out of fear, you just feel dorcelessness. at least thats my experience with it. (of course im not completely telling the truth here, im just saying what i think dorcelessness is)
the gumball scary episode it was scary but what really knocked me out was that creature was a wendigo. In short it was gumballs crush if you know you know
I recommend that you see the analog horror series Vita Carnis, specifically the video Species Anomaly Report, but first watch the talking about the Harvester so that you can understand the Species Anomaly Report video

OMG November 19th is my BIRTHDAY!!!
Thanks for featuring FACES, I'm glad I could spook you! Oh, and enjoy the shirt!

I love the series, but the concept of selling Fucktoy Cory merch is tasteless.
@@williamwebb580 what really? I gotta check his series out then!

The scariest part of this video is encountering a Jerma reference in the wild
Your description for dorcelessness has me in TEARS
No for real, I was in orbit, between that and Humber.

Because I looked up adult swims take on the grieving, and I couldn't find it
Send the video link
It's actually insane how easy your brain can trick you into being scared, having clinical anxiety is basically your brain doing that CONSTANTLY.
As someone _with_ clinical anxiety, it is not fun. You learn to navigate it a bit after a while though

It doesn't say anything. Like you said, you're 14 so obviously you're going to get scared easily smh.
@@brokesmoke101 fr lmao

@@lexyshannon9428 exactly bro this mf is terrifying
what got me with the Wyoming incident was “what hides in your mind. We have already seen it.”
I was glad that Thalasin was included. It was the first analog horror that actually scared me.
Rewatching it, its almost humorous but seeing it for the first time by myself and thinking it was a regular video it absolutely terrified me.
some of the faces were pretty funny looking tho-
Just watched the Wyoming incident and I am actually about to cry, I don’t know why, crying is not a normal response to fear for me
That creature that took Darwin out is a Wendigo.
I love and hate the fact that this video got recommended by me early in the morning while it's still dark and also the fact that nobody is in my apartment and the only thing that accompanying me is the droning noise of my air conditioner and the dark bathroom that I accidentally left forgot to close last night. I love ur stuff man, don’t worry about the uploads. I’m just glad to be able to watch something other than daytime television
loving the use of yume 2kki music!!!! it always makes me do a double take whenever I hear 2kki music in youtube videos :)

ive never got an answer to this goddamn question, why do we never stop getting scared at night when we go downstairs at night?
The Mandela Catalyst episode of the catalogue and the harvester vita carnis witness thing scarred me bro
0:17 i was not expecting a jerma mention in a vid about analog horror but im very happy that hes here
7:58 the numbers might just be the ages of these names
Btw
In a reply to a comment, VibingLeaf also said that in his canon of The Grieving, after the funeral. Nicole finds the creature that killed her kids and she kills it herself.
Knowing what Nicole does in the show. It makes sense.
The music along with Faces at the end gives it such a surreal dreamy quality
For the Wyoming incident I remember I watched so many horror films and stuff so when i watched it i confidently got up (I was pretty young) opened the windows and was sad when I didn't see the faces.
"Passed away against their will" yeah buddy im. I feel like most people do.
"Lisa's Secret Face" reminds me of the infamous FF8 scene actually, hahaha
all my homies hate urban spook's method of delivering horror
i think the guy's got potential. his art is truly creepy, but he's relying solely on shock horror and the internet is at a point where most of us are sick of shock horror.
That man just traumatized me to the point of I need my mom to stay in the room as I go to sleep just in case Jimmy doesn’t break into my room
11:19 that creature is a urban legend called wendigo it gets in its victims head and forces them to be a cannibal
I was waiting on UrbanSpook 👏
Of all the analog horror i've viewed this one has to be the most spine chilling conceptually

Chilling
it was alright but the use of child sexual assault and rape made it worse. i lost it during the horse part in pigs 💀
it fell off
As suspense was building my dog jumped up and almost gave me a heart attack
you're an awesome youtuber, you made my day today, even if it was with nightmares! thank you.

Got caught enjoying the painter 🫵
Watching this on an iPod touch 7.
Happy to see someone else talking about it
Something about "Jimmy"s eyes rrally creeped me out, nice video
1:13 "from at least 10 years ago" idk man... i would've gone with at least 9, just to be safe
If you enjoy faces, you should see the Vita Carnis series, for just a feature for next video, lets just say theres a hidden gem, that makes lots of people scared
ayo great video and all but I cANNOT BELIEVE that someone actually remembers that japanese game IB.
That red faced self portrait reminds mo so much of specimen 9 from spooky's jumpscare mansion
yes i was looking for a part 2
Dude, Kyne is clearly what Ed from Ed, Edd, n' Eddy was after he ate those tacos covered in secret hot sauce
Analog horror is hands down my favorite horror genre.
Bro did NOT just post Urbanspook and said it was good lmfao
The monster at 11:00 is a wendigo. They are an Algonquin native mythical monster associated with the winter and death.
The thing that discomforts me from the thalasin video is that if one were to use these pills, would the original face grow back once the effects wear off or will the heavily altered face remain the same as if the person were still under the effects?
@penitentestudios1492 wanna know something funny and creepy related to your question? Read the tiny letters on the Thalasin video, around 2:33 and your question will be answered.
the deerguy in the grieving retake could have been a wendigo
The creature that kills Gumball is a Leshen: a folklore spirit of the forest that featured heavily as monster bounties in The Witcher III
the creature in the gumball episode is the Wendigo, a legend of the Indigenous peoples. It's like a shape-shifting deer/human.
16:39 i saw this book in school
i'm pretty sure it was named "Scary stories to tell in the dark"
That stuff gave little me nightmares for a week.
dorcelessness? i dont need thalasin i can already feel dorcelessness. the problem is i just need to show people what it looks like. its not as horrifying as it looks its more like an elevated feeling of horror to the point of you cant think straight. no more passing out of fear, you just feel dorcelessness. at least thats my experience with it. To me it seems like your brain on flight or fight mode. You feel out of body and kinda dizzy
It's what's after dissociation.
Nah cause when he started talkin about people being in the front door someone literally started knocking on my front door
Scared the shit out of me
10:56 THAT my friend, is a wendigo.
The numbers on the NNN broadcast could be ages
111 is pretty old but its within human lifespan
NNN is very scary ⬜️⬜️⬜️🪱🫣🫣🫣
the gumball scary episode it was scary but what really knocked me out was that creature was a wendigo. In short it was gumballs crush if you know you know
I decided I wanted to see the painting more time and the power turned off as soon as 18:52 came up again😭
to think we could've had 'ahoy!' be a part of our modern lingo... truly we've been deprived 😔
idk how i didnt get scared by FACES
1:48 WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HAVE TO SAY THIS AND NOW IT'S ALL DAMN ACCURATE ASF
The numbers next to the names are ages. You see this in Japanese news broadcasts very often.
The blue channel is actually extremely hilarious to me
I recommend that you see the analog horror series Vita Carnis, specifically the video Species Anomaly Report, but first watch the talking about the Harvester so that you can understand the Species Anomaly Report video
"Thanks alot edison"
Me listening to this having the name edison:
if you havent already, check out the Tangi Virus and its sequel, The Oracle, its the first time i got chills from an analog horror
18:06
But then you realized that Cory is 11 years old.
the scariest part of analog horror is the distorted faces
11:05 this creature called wendigo
i'm pretty sure that the numbers next to the names in the NNN temporary broadcast are supposed to be the ages of those people
1:37 I was thinking this woman in the thumbnail was that was the teenager who stupidly burnt her tongue with a hair straightener. 🙂
14:16 nah bro, won't hang out today, I'm feeling a little ONLENT today 🥺🥺😮💨
The weird deer creature reminds me of the CH/SS monster
The fsp video thumbnail from the beginning comes from a video of a girl clamping her tongue with a curler lmaooo
the teeth image looks like the flesh panopticon.
You made me scared before the cat eating
Ngl. I feel Onlent even on the best of days, Amirite, buddies? 😂
love this series!! you've earned a sub :)
The numbers by the names were probably ages of the names shown
11:10 that's called a wendigo, a North American legend
"James' Secret Face" looks like an album cover
Don't know what genre though
Vita carnis: are you serious right now boy
the creature in the Grieving Retake could be a Wendigo idk
Great list!
Horror makes my left wrist uncomfortable.
wut?
16:05
_PANDEMONIUM starts playing_
The faceless guy is literally lich from adventure time
that "demonic creature" from the gumball thing is an wendigo (most likealy)
"A wendigo" (not trying to make u mad im just a nerd)
Am I stupid or do I not get scared anymore like if they send me creepy vidoes I’ll be like “fuck yeah I’m watching that”
16:05 flesh panopticon
James secret face is very Beetlejuice imo
Wait until he finds out about Doctor Nowhere
Why do the blue channel's Thalasin " *emotions* " look like the faces that are constantly shown in recent Spongebob episodes
Anyone else think that the bg music for FACES sounds like a CPAP machine
Woah, you actually uploaded again!
The "Music" at 7:43 sounds like the haunted house theme from Mario 64.
18:59 bro he look like that one meme with the shocked guy
I should not be watching this at 3 am
