Glad to see Callie back.
I noticed my Goodwill did this when they were selling games. I went in and saw a bunch of games, but didn't want to spend $10. Half off day was the next day, so I went in and they were gone. I figured they sold, but whatever. I went back the next day to exchange some pants that didn't fit and the games were magically back in the case. I asked where they were yesterday for 1/2 off day, and they said they were different games lol - no they weren't.. and the dates on the tag prove that. "I don't know, I don't price things" - def sketccch.

Normally during yard sale season goodwill lacks inventory. But then again in my area, people are choosing to donate to local charities instead of GW😂
Everyone stay away from Goodwill. Especially the ones I go to.

The best sale I ever got from a goodwill was a pristine vintage Levis Big E jacket in a small adult size. Turned 15.00 into 750.00 around Christmas. That was a fun auction ending!

Here in Australia our thrift stores dont even assign colour tags to brand clothing because they never want it to be half price. They have a white tag and white tags are never assigned half price days.
He is correct. I was in goodwill on yellow tag day. One of the workers were pulling yellow tag movies and video games from the shelf and taking them to the back. When I asked the manager about it she said that I could look at the movies and dvds if I wanted too. So there I was waiting for them to bring them back out., They then came and told me that they were sorry they were already loaded on the truck to go to another store. That was crazy, so I’m like huh? Another time I saw one of the workers looking for boutique items with the tag of the day. Stores in Memphis prices are outrageous. 79.00 for Converses, and boots. Donating my items to Salvation army.
I live in Atlanta and goodwill’s are super shady here. I purchased a Harley Davidson sweater yesterday or tried to. The manager waited on me. The sweater didn’t have a price. He told me the reason it didn’t have a price was because it wasn’t supposed to be on the floor. He said they don’t sell Harley Davidson in Store. I said well where do you sell it? He said it all goes online. He didn’t want to sell it to me. I told him that would explain why there was nothing good in the store anymore and why the store was practically empty. Of course he ignored my comment and begrudgingly sold me the sweater. I am so over Goodwill. They do not appreciate their customers at all. So greedy.

I don’t mind going to goodwill, but I have not and will not donate anything to them anymore! I give to a church first they sell for cheap or give things away! It’s getting to the point that some thrift stores, yard sales and other used stores are getting out of hand! One store I go to has some really beautiful things, but they put up a sign saying EBay prices. All behind their counter or in glass cabinets locked! It’s nuts.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

We have to drive 2-3 hours to find a Goodwill that 1) has fair, reasonable prices 2) doesn’t just have damaged merchandise 3) has anything that’s not priced higher than ebay prices ( And I’m not talking about sold comps-their prices are higher than the buy if now prices of the product(s)by far) and I always return home to find rips, stains, broken zippers, holes, or dry-rotted outsoles of shoes, and it’s always like they have been really (just at our local Goodwill’s) been putting the good stuff online to sell, so instead, we go to many , actually all, of the thrift stores that benefit our local handicapped community, and that’s great opportunity for the handicapped people to have jobs and interact with the customers, and I just adore the workers! They are so loving and sweet! Our local town has an old Air Force Station that has been closed for decades, so they took the old barracks and converted them into handicapped accessible apartments for them! I don’t know if the tuition for their school and apartments is good, but I sure have a heart for serving the community and especially the elderly and disabled. I spent the past decade caring for my paramedic-turned-quadriplegic brother, in fact. 😊His zany sense of humor kept me in stitches. But, we love to support those stores the most, because our local Goodwill’s are outrageous!!

Before I press play, I'm commenting before I watch based off the title for the video. Yes, I feel like my local Goodwill does engage in backdoor or inside employee dealings. Never, ever, ever, find a vintage t-shirt. Never have and probably never will. Sad
Yes here in CA. The Goodwills I visit in AZ are amazing.
Sure glad our GW does not mark up items. I have noticed some high end shoes, boots and Hoka shoes marked up to $9.99. Shirts and dresses are never marked up even if they are new with a $200 price tag. Brand new Birkenstock were marked $5.99.

Several of the goodwills in our area aren't getting good stuff or it's priced too high. But there are a couple that are still getting good inventory and they price really well. However there is a large flea market not too far from me and a bunch of vendors scored some vintage '80s and '90s storage lockers. Picked up some really cool toys, plush, computer parts. All vintage stuff. I don't do too much clothes but It was a bonanza for all the vintage clothing people.

Also workers can't purchase stuff for sale until 24 or 48 hrs of it being on the sales floor so what they do is they hide items and incorrectly price them so they can purchase it. I know this also because my daughters boyfriend was a former employee

Our Goodwill's don't do sales ever...except this week jeans were BOGO for the first time I can remember. They leave clothes mostly the same prices but shoes, handbags and knick knacks they price way too high. The greed is real.
X goodwiller here. Yup they prob did send it to sell online. They wouldn't send to another store as their sales quotas are separate.
My goodwills are bad now. Crap stuff n high prices. Definitely being picked thru by the workers either for themselves or friends or to the online store. Heard from a good source that the wife of 1 mngr here is a reseller online n gets alot of the good stuff. 🤦♂️🤷♂️

Long story Savers in Saugus Mass is very sketchy, my daughters boyfriend worked there he took pictures of jewelry jars made up which sat hidden in the back room, I waited a few days for them to get placed in the case for sale but it wasn't happening, i had to keep the photos a secret, so i nicely asked when will they put out jewelry jars and with an attitude the manager said they don't disclose that info and they don't have any jewelry jars made up,so why would I think that.I lied and said oh a worker told me some would be coming out soon, this lady got beat red and said im not suppose to know anything about the jars. Remind you us buyers make contributions to their mission by making purchases so you would think they want us to know this stuff, jars were never seen again sketchy or what.

Also they put high prices and label it as 14 kt gold to deceive cooperate into thinking they actually have sales from selling gold and good jewelry when in fact at this Savers it doesn't make it into the display case. But to make the numbers look right they have to do this in order to go undetected. Cooperate isn't dumb they know what type of donations are to be expected through out the year so if a store never receives precious metals and has zero sales from it they will begin to look suspicious.

Actually Seen them here actually change the color on shoees and didnt bother to take the price sticker color from prior. So they sit with both colors on the shelves and this is literally in the new merch carts

I went to mylocal Goodwill today, first time in like 5 months..ooh my gosh...i couldn't believe the prices...and the stuff was mostly junk and still priced high.. I will nEver go back it was crazy and store was empty (Friday Morning) Orange County California. stop donating to Goodwill.
Goodwill is complete trash. But now even people having yardsales are pricing up their stuff up to match ebay. EVERYONE knows and wants full price, I get it but its very annoying... but thats what happens when everything is blasted all over social media and youtube 👍

So I am at my local Goodwill that does the $2 colored tags on Thursdays first thing in the morning. What do I see but the employees pulling the higher brand items off the rack and putting them in carts. SonI asked the clerk what was going on and she said oh you can look through there. I told her I was mainly looking for the$2 colored tag of the day and she said oh that's what these are!!!!! In the cart was Guess, Kenneth Cole, betsey lauren jackets. ( these are the higher brands for my area ) so ya they are pulling the higher end merch. At least she let me go through it quickly. It just felt wrong though because sourcing is a lot of work and it felt like now there's a slimmer chance. I've been hitting up the clearances at bigger retailers and finding some pretty good deals.

Yes they favor this hillbilly couple also I found a GameCube and 2 Nintendo 64s and a control deck all put out by the new guy and I’m pretty sure he put out the secret stash on accident cause I found the games yesterday all marked more than the systems 😂 $14.49 for the GameCube btw

I just left my job at the dollar store but we had Halloween stuff on the shelves before the 4th of July even hit and I even told my manager I was upset that it was happening only because the 4th of July is my absolute favorite holiday but Halloween is number two lol
At our Goodwills they mark the expensive items -or what they feel are expensive anyway not using the color tags they just used plain white tags and handwrite the price on it.
