- In this video, I'll share some thoughts on practicing and how to take your saxophone playing to the next level.
While we all love browsing RUclips for answers, looking for ways to improve our playing, relying solely on external sources won't take you much further than where you are now.
But true progress comes from more than just watching videos; it comes from Consistent Practice.
That is the magic formula, nothing else!
Happy playing!

Well said. The mistake we make is in thinking that our brain is a computer and that all we need to do is just give it more information and somehow that will just miraculously transfer to our fingers without needing to practice. We have become obsessed with “hacks.”
Thanks for that :)
Solid advice. Thank you.
Any time!
I am going to love this new mantra..
Learn something, forget it,
Learn something, forget it.
Learn it again, forget it a little less.
There is too much information out there, and you are so right.. just play. I need to do this!
Great video!
Thanks for your words!! Keep up the good practice🎷💪
I did subscribed and give you a like ... thank you for posting and teaching about saxophone technique .
Thanks for the sub! And for your nice words!
Great video! I got most of the notes right on a piece I was working on, so I recorded myself.
Yikes...... The tone wasn't tooo bad, (I put a lot of work in that direction) but I sounded very mechanical. Herky-jerky, like driving down a bad dirt road.
Tonight I will slow rhings a bit and work on SMOOTHNESS. Join things together instead of so many disjointed parts. I'll get there!
Baritone.....King of the sound pyramid.
Thanks for sharing :)
Hello and thanks for the video it's amazing, I have a question ,what do i practice to play the saxophone and improvise live with a DJ?? do you have any tips for that ?? iam trying to involve myself in this field already I finished the 3 years and half expirience and didn't work on stage live yet. Can I find a proper answer of that, thanks a lot.
I’d say, transcribe songs/solos of experienced sax players known in the DJ field. Practice these with intention and accuracy until they sound exactly the same as the recording. This is always the best method to improve 😀 let me know how it goes!
